Chapter 33 |---|Parents|---|__Part Two|---|Of Two__

|---|Previously On, The Three Line Title|---|

I just hope I can remember where it is...

Azaria's POV

We were now out of the Crew's jacked up hotel, and walking to my parent's house. Luckily, I remembered where it was.

And I had a feeling we weren't ever coming back to the Crew's hideout.

I lead the way as we walked on and on to my parent's house, and I could finally see it in the distance.

"There it is!" I pointed cheerfully, even though I wasn't that keen about seeing my parents again after abandoning them for over a month.

But they believed in me, and I believed in them. They knew I was strong and they knew I could handle myself. But why did I still feel that uneasiness in the pit of my stomach that they will be mad when I return. I tried to push the uneasiness away, but it wouldn't leave. So I ignored it.

We were now at least a block away from my parent's house and my heart was beginning to beat faster and faster as we grew closer to the big house.

Once we reached the gate that surrounded my parent's house, I silently unlocked the gate and walked inside. The other followed.

"Azaria, are you sure you want to face your parents?" Rolock asked, a certain quaver in his voice. I balled my fists up.

"Yes, I'm sure." I said, with my head facing the ground. I picked my head up and walked tall and proud up to the porch of the house I'd grown up in. With little hesitation, I grabbed the doorknob and turned it. I was surprised when I found out it was unlocked. I lightly tugged on the door knob until the old, ragged door opened.

It was quiet inside the house, as if nobody was home. But my parents didn't leave home very often, so they most likely were home.

I turned the doorknob on the screen door and tugged until it opened too. Still, I couldn't believe my parent's had left their door unlocked.

I walked inside the big, quiet house. The others, once again, followed behind me.

The house was still like it was when I'd left to join the crew over a month ago. I was shocked to see that everything was still in the same place. Then again, my parents weren't the type of people to keep changing things up.

Azaria, take a look at this. Came Raven's powerful voice from another part of the room. I turned my head and saw Raven, she had a letter in her hands. I walked over to her and she handed me the letter. It read: Went to run some errands. If anyone visits,we left the door unlocked, as you probably already know, and there are cookies in the kitchen if you're hungry. There was no signature, but I recognized my dad's handwriting any day.

"What did it say?" Adele said, restlessly.

"They went to run some errands. They said there were cookies in the kitchen." I told her. Adele's face lit up. She sprinted to the kitchen and came back with a handful of cookies.

"Want some?" She asked with her mouth full.

"Sure." I said gladly before taking a cookie and biting into it. They were chocolate chip. My favorite. The chocolate melted in my mouth when I bit into the cookie's baked dough.

Just then, the side door to my parent's house opened, and my parents yelled, Hello? Anyone here? Loudly.

I just stood there, looking in the direction from which they came.

When they saw me, their eyes sparkled. They ran up to me and we got into a group hug.

"We knew you'd come back." My mom said, pulling back out of the hug.

"And we knew you would come back, unharmed." Added my dad. I gave them a proud smile before forcing them back into a group hug.

"We missed you." They said simultaneously.

I missed you too. I could feel tears rushing down my cheeks. I hadn't seen my parents in over a month, and all this time I've been thinking that they were going to be mad at me for leaving, when they, as I knew, believed in me.

And that was a beautiful thing.
