Twenty Nine: Operation Blonde Part 1
Oak Prince
Jungkook woke up in the middle of the night, the trace of a terrible nightmare left running through his shaking body. It was nothing like anything he had ever dreamt of before, only because it was so realistic...it was similar to the feeling of his first dream about Jimin. In the dream Jungkook was sitting on a white tiled floor, curled up in a tight ball to keep the cold out. His ankles were chained tightly to the wall and his hands were cut down the middle, like...
Like Taehyung's hands.
Jungkook lifted his chin off of the tile to see a familiar blonde not too far away from him. Taehyung, chained across from him and sporting many new bruises and cuts, made Jungkook's heart dive into a black pool of both relief and horror.
"T-Taehyung?" Jungkook called out to the blonde who was laying on his side facing away from the ravenette, "Hey Taehyung!"
The blonde rolled around in his spot to face Jungkook, eyes going wide when he saw the Oak Prince reaching out for him.
"JUNGKOOK!" A hopeful smile lit up Taehyung's face, until the blonde saw the chains wrapped endlessly around the older's ankles. Taehyung's face fell and he frowned. Tears started to build up behind his long lashes.
"I'm sorry, Jungkook. I, I-ruined it for you. He knows...he knows that I...that I love you. He's going to kill you through me now."
Jungkook sat up, pulling hard against his chains at the dreary words leaking out of Taehyung's bloody lips, "What are you saying Taehyung? Who knows that you...you love me?"
Taehyung looked up at him, a tear rolling over a cut in his cheek.
"Jihoon."
Before Jungkook could ask more questions, Taehyung suddenly began screaming in pain, convulsions taking over his weak body. His tan arms flailed uncontrollably left and right, smacking the tiles with hard thumps that made Jungkook wince. Jungkook wanted nothing more than to take the blonde's pain away then and there. He reached his arms out to the elder and the ravenette's arms began to evaporate in front of his eyes.
"T-Taehyung!! TAEHYUNG!! NO, NO don't let me GO I want TO STAY-"
Jungkook woke up from his dream then, shooting up to a seated position atop the white sheets of the bed. He rubbed at his face, plagued by the last awful image of Taehyung's body shaking uncontrollably on the white tiled floor. The Oak Prince closed his eyes tight and sighed, turning his head to look at Jimin.
Jimin was still snuggled right up against Jungkook's midsection despite the other's jerky movement and his breathing was light and steady. Jungkook wiped the sweat from his forehead and felt a bit of relief knowing that Jimin was alive and safe next to him. Jimin's face looked so peaceful and Jungkook had to restrain himself from touching the older's hair. He didn't want to wake Jimin up.
It was still pitch black outside the inn window, only a few patchy fires burning in the distance. Jungkook knew he wouldn't be able to fall back asleep after that episode, so he began planning the pair's search and rescue mission for later that day. He wiggled out from under the covers very slowly so as not to disturb the beautiful sleeping gray-haired male and walked over to the desk in their room. He plopped down onto the desk chair and began mulling over everything he knew about his uncle.
His uncle was a cunning, manipulative bastard who was likely hurting Taehyung in some way despite the fact that they were going to use him to lure Jungkook in.
Jungkook felt a pang of sickness just thinking about it.
Taehyung probably wasn't going along with Jihoon's plans willingly, but Jungkook knew that his ass of an uncle had ways to get things out of people.
So he probably knows how close we all are...
This would be a difficult task to pull off if Jungkook and Jimin were spotted together anywhere near the hideout...Jungkook needed to make sure the two weren't recognized.
"What are we going to do?" Jungkook whispered tapping at his temples while Jimin's chest rose and fell on the bed.
Then, an idea came to him.
And it would involve acting and careful disguises.
If Jihoon wanted to be a cunning, manipulative bastard, then Jungkook had to fight fire with fire. The ravenette rubbed his chin with his fingers and smiled at his natural ability to plot things.
It was going to be one hell of a rescue mission.
Stone Prince
White sheets rubbed against the side of Jimin's sleepy face as his body softly shook left and right. He opened his gray eyes to see a wide awake Jungkook, eyes open wide as if he had reached some epiphany and he was ready to share it. The dark bags under the younger's doe eyes worried Jimin a little, but he said nothing as he pushed himself up on the bed with tired arms.
"Jimin, I have a plan."
Jimin nodded while yawning, noticing his lack of a shirt. Before, he would've felt insecure being so bare, so in the open next to Jungkook. Now, he felt at ease around the ravenette ever since they...
Well...
The memories from the previous night made Jimin blush, but not in a bad way. He was genuinely glad that he let Jungkook take his virginity and not some drunk one-night-stand. Jimin smiled widely at Jungkook who was holding tightly onto his arm. He reached up to brush a strand of black hair out of the other's determined face.
"I'm all ears, Kook."
And so Jungkook began to narrate his detailed plan to the gray-haired male, not failing to highlight each key point that the two of them needed to accomplish in order for the plan to succeed. Jimin listened to all of the words pouring quickly out of Jungkook's lips with growing admiration. Jungkook had thought through every single aspect of the plan, and they didn't even know what the compound looked like yet.
Jungkook's brain was truly something phenomenal.
After thirty minutes had passed, Jungkook paused to fetch some water for his dry throat. When he returned, he gave Jimin a questioning glance.
"Any questions so far?" he set the water glass down on the nightstand and waited for a response.
Jimin shook his head in disbelief that they were really going to try and pull off something so insane. However, he trusted Jungkook's judgement enough to have faith in the idea. It might actually work with just the two of them.
"Your plan is great so far, Kook. How did you think of all of this?" Jimin tugged at the bottom of Jungkook's sleeve.
"I-" Jungkook scratched at his eyebrow and sighed, "Have been up for the last five hours. I had a nightmare about Taehyung and I couldn't fall back asleep..." Jungkook began biting his lip.
Jimin took Jungkook's hand in his own and gave it a squeeze, "Jungkook, this plan is fool-proof so far...Taehyung must've given you his strength through the dream or something because-"
"Yeah," Jungkook half-smiled and looked out the window at the first signs of dawn breaking, "I really miss Taehyung... ughhh this has to work. If we can get him out without being gassed, then we'll regroup to my castle and..." Jungkook clenched his fists, "a-and I'll fucking kill that son of a bitch when-"
"Alright, alright Kook calm down," Jimin wrapped his arms around the fuming younger male, "Can you tell me the rest of the plan now?"
Outside the window, the sun broke across the horizon and sunlight splashed across the ravenette's cheeks as he continued sharing his plan. After another ten minutes of addressing small details that were crucial for success, Jungkook let out a relieved sigh, happy that he had finished saying everything.
Jimin sat in his position on the bed in silence. He studied the excited look spreading across the younger's face. Jimin was beyond surprised at Jungkook's ability to craft a completely unique and out-of-the-box plan in less than a day. The gray-haired male took both of Jungkook's hands in his and peered between the younger's fiery eyes.
They were going to do this.
"Damn it, Jungkook. This is going to work," he paused, "Well...as long as my head doesn't interfere..." Jimin trailed off.
Jungkook brought both of Jimin's hands to his lips and gently kissed each finger. A mini smile danced behind Jimin's slightly swollen pink lips. When Jungkook was done with the fingers, his head lifted and he pecked Jimin's thick lips once before standing up off of the bed. He moved to prepare the things they would need later that day.
"It has to work Jimin. Your head will just have to wait."
Jimin rolled off of the bed and walked over to the window, getting a look at the damaged Laurel Castle burning in the distance for the first time. A shiver passed along his spine and he averted his silver eyes from the awful sight. Jungkook was sitting at the other side of the room, unsheathing their swords and studying the ends, checking for any weak spots that could hinder their progress in the plan. Jimin put on the clothes that were ripped off of him last night and shuffled to the door.
He turned around to face Jungkook and sighed at what he had to do for the plan, "Kook, I'm going to go get the, uh-"
"Yeah, you have fun with that," Jungkook laughed, not even looking away from his blades.
Jimin rolled his eyes and exited the inn room, heading for the reception area. He would have to face that young girl again, no matter how embarrassing it would be for him.
He was doing it for Taehyung.
Jungkook was lucky that he didn't have to do it, since the ravenette was the one who answered the door practically naked when the girl came with their things last night.
Jimin grinned at the image that popped into his head of Jungkook in nothing but underwear and a mischievous smile. He carefully glided down a few flights of stairs while having these thoughts, and after a few minutes, he was at the reception desk. Thankfully, nobody else was in there that early in the morning.
He glanced over to the desk and was surprised to see the same girl from yesterday dozing off in her seated position behind the guest book, a bell placed at the front of the counter reading "ring for service." Jimin snickered at the whole scene and tapped the bell a few times. The girl's head snapped up and she adjusted her glasses before recognizing Jimin. A guilty smile formed on Jimin's face and he looked away from the girl's obvious staring.
"H-how may I a-assist you, uh, sir?" the girl stumbled over her words while she worked to straighten out her blouse.
"Well, this may sound a bit strange..." Jimin cursed internally that he had to do this for the plan, "I know you brought us fresh clothes last night," the girl glanced down at Jimin's outfit and nodded.
"But I need to ask for a specific request from you...You see, my, uh, friend and I need to carry out an important task that requires a disguise and so..." Jimin pushed down his pride and swallowed before saying what he needed to say.
"Could you give me a...um, a makeover? I need to look like a girl by eight, so that leaves us," Jimin hastily peeked at the clock behind the girl's surprised expression, "One hour."
The girl said nothing, only gazing up at the gray-haired male with many questions in her eyes. As if sensing her hesitancy, Jimin leaned forward.
"We'll pay you double for the room and I'll personally tip you for the makeover. Please, it's really important," Jimin hated how desperate he sounded.
After glancing around the empty reception room with an unreadable expression on her face, the young girl behind the desk looked Jimin dead in the eyes. She nodded vigorously.
"Of course. I'll...uh, I'll give you a makeover...but I'm only doing this for the tip. If you try to hit on me-"
"I already have a boyfriend," Jimin blurted out before he could stop himself.
The girl blushed and smiled down at the counter surface, "O-oh...that makes sense."
Jimin also blushed as the girl motioned for the two to go into her personal bedroom that was off of the main building of the inn. He was traveling into her home now, a random stranger who was much older than her. A random stranger who happened to be the Stone Prince himself, getting a makeover from a young girl who had never met royalty in her life. Of course, she never expected him to be a prince.
No prince would ask to transform into a girl.
Jimin sighed as the girl brought him into her bedroom and went straight for the closet. He sat down on her bed awkwardly, twiddling his thumbs around as he watched her pick out a white dress.
"I think this should fit you," the girl held the dress up next to Jimin's seated figure and closed one eye, trying to picture the gray-haired male in it, "You're not too far off from my size, but the arms and legs might be too small. Otherwise, I think you're petite enough to fit in this; why don't you try it on?" She handed Jimin the dress and went back to her wardrobe to fetch accessories.
Jimin hurriedly slid out of his borrowed clothes and pulled the dress on over his boxers. He was not going to be seen half-naked again by this girl; he wouldn't do that to her. When the silky fabric of the gown was over his body, he stretched a little to the left and the right to make sure his mobility wasn't compromised.
Although the dress was likely going to rip with hard physical fighting, Jimin didn't have to worry about that until the later part of the plan. By that point, his disguise wouldn't matter anyway. He glided over to the mirror on the far side of the girl's room and admired his reflection. What he saw amazed him.
"Wow..." Jimin was shocked at how feminine wearing a dress could make him look, "I'm so..."
"Pretty?" the girl returned from her closet carrying shoes, jewelry, and what looked to be a collection of paints to Jimin.
Wait, paints?
No, makeup.
Jimin smiled at the compliment and turned in a full circle like a dancer. The dress twirled around his thin body elegantly, creating a light breeze. The girl tried to hide her giggles under a hand but a few escaped from under her fingers. Jimin laughed along with her.
"This is great!" Jimin gave a slight bow to the girl, "But could you first tie the back for me?"
The girl nodded, rushing to Jimin's back with a pep in her step. Although the girl didn't want to admit it, Jimin could tell she was having fun dressing him up. When she was done, Jimin pointed to the stuff she had brought in with a curious look in his eyes.
"You really know how to pull an outfit together fast, huh? Why aren't you part of the royal design team?" Jimin teased. The girl grinned, pushing her long blonde ponytail off of her shoulder.
"Honestly, I love style so much... if I ever got the chance to be a part of a court, like, on a design team? I would die! The Laurel Prince's style is always so...intricate you know?" the girl paused, chewing the inside of her cheek in thought, "But now...with what's happened to the Laurel Castle..." the girl looked down at her bed, frowning.
Jimin cleared his throat and picked up a pair of heels that the girl had placed on the bed, trying to lighten the mood, "Hey, listen. That whole...situation...will be straightened up really soon. I've...um, heard around that the other two princes are working hard to make things right again..." Jimin lifted the shoes in his hands and bent down to strap them on, "How do these look?"
The girl lifted her head up from the bed to see a beautiful man striding confidently across her bedroom floor wearing her finest clothes. However, she was not upset.
She was ecstatic.
"Wow...you're really beautiful," a shy smile spread across her lips, "Now...I think it's about time for jewelry and makeup, yeah?"
Jimin paused at the girl's last question. The tone and way she had just spoken reminded him of...
"Hey, sir, I need you to tilt your head up and stay still while I do this okay? It'll make my job a lot easier," the girl flocked in with her set of powders, eyeliners, and things Jimin didn't even want to know the name of. As she applied layers upon layers of things to his face, Jimin studied her features.
The girl had a high nose, prominent eyes, accentuated cheekbones and a thick swath of blond hair behind her. Every now and then she would lean away from Jimin's face and study her work, smiling at the way it was turning out. Jimin noted the strange feeling in his gut that he knew her from somewhere.
And not just because he had seen her the previous night.
"Okay! You look great, sir. Stunning. Beautiful. Better than most girls!" the girl stepped away from him, angling a mirror towards him so he could get a better look at himself.
His heart just about stopped at the sight.
In the mirror was not Park Jimin, no, not anymore. As according to the plan, he would be Minnie, the female persona of Jimin.
And damn was he gorgeous!
A light dusting of white powder made his smooth skin appear even more delicate and ladylike than it already was. The deep maroon highlight on his lips made him look ready to head over to one of Taehyung's parties. His eyes were the most interesting part, with thick rings of black around them, two beautiful wings sharply fanning out to the side of his eyelids. The entire look gave him a cat-like appearance, and Jimin found himself amazed at what a little makeup could do to a person. He could hardly recognize himself.
"W-wow...this is..." for once in his life, Jimin felt a bit vain, longing to gaze at himself in the mirror for another few minutes.
The girl rubbed her hands together happily and moved to get the jewelry. In her tan hands were several silver bracelets and a pair of long dangling silver earrings to complete the look.
"I, I thought the silver would compliment your hair color...here, put these on," the girl placed them into Jimin's outstretched palm and watched as the male eagerly put them on.
When he was finished, Jimin strode over to the full length mirror and gazed at himself. The girl stood in the background of his reflection, hands placed over her heart. Suddenly she lifted a finger into the air and opened her mouth to speak.
"Oh! I forgot one last important thing," she ran off into her closet and quickly returned holding a pair of socks. She blushed lightly, "You said you wanted me to turn you into a genuine girl, right?" she paused, balling the socks up and holding them out to Jimin, "Do you want to do this or do you want me to-?
Jimin raised his eyebrows at the white socks that he was being handed, "Why do I need sock-" a moment of realization passed across Jimin's face, "Ohhhh. Um...you can do it, I don't really know how to, um, place them-"
"Gotcha," in a heartbeat, the girl had reached her hand down the front of Jimin's dress and placed the bunched up socks where two breasts would go. After a few more adjustments, and a lot of blushing, the girl stepped back, clapping her hands together and smiling.
A box smile...
"It looks great! You look like a real woman now, um..." the girl paused and blinked a few times, "Um, I never caught your name?"
Jimin froze, wondering if he should share his real name with this innocent girl. She couldn't do anything to hurt them, right? Plus, Jimin was only sharing his first name; hardly anyone in the kingdom knew the Stone Prince's first name.
"I'm Jimin," the gray-haired male held out his braceleted hand for a friendly handshake, "And you are?"
The girl took his hand and winked at him, her charms spilling through to Jimin's content expression, "Kim."
"Kim Eonjin."
