Chapter 2

~The Two Before You~

“GOD FUCKING DAMNIT!!”

A lady, around her mid twenties, sighed setting down a damp red cloth onto a huge table which the others surrounded. She looked over to a man in armour, blue markings on it to symbolize his soul color. His hands were red, no, it wasn't blood, but the bruises he received from punching the walls for far too long.

“Integrity, are you feeling any better?” The lady asked, her dress was the same color as the markings on Integrity’s armour, yet in a lighter shade. She wore small glasses that have been recently cracked, not enough for her not to see, but enough for others to notice. She pressed the damp cloth against her head, wiping away any dust or blood that covered her golden hair.

Integrity punched the wall one last time before giving off a huge sigh, he brushed away his brown hair before looking back to the lady in blue, “....Yes, on some level..” He sighed, “Scoot over, Patience.”

Patience carefully picked up her dress so she could move over easier and made some room for Integrity. Once the man sat down he looked around to the others on the table, “Where's Perseverance, Bravery, DT, and Kindness?”

“Off somewhere.” Justice huffed and crossed her arms, she adjusted the small hat on top of her head and carefully wrapped a bandage around her arm, “DT and P are discussing something alone, and Bravery went to get Kindness.”

On que another man walked into the room they were in, holding the hand of a child. Bravery was slightly more slim than Integrity, but the metal gloves on his hands show he is one not to mess with. The child by his side wiped some blood onto her dress, she looked the age of ten or maybe twelve.

“I-i tried to heal most of them b-but…” Kindness sniffed as she looked to the rest of the wizards that sat in the table.

Bravery gave her a smile and patted her back, “Go clean yourself, you did well today, I'm proud of you.”

Kindness nodded and quickly went out of the room to change. Bravery walked to the table and sat next to Justice, “Mad as usual?” Bravery huffed as he looked to Justice, once she finished wrapping bandages on her arm she look to Bravery with a small frown.

“Well who the fuck wouldn't be mad about this!” Justice huffed and crossed her arms, “Innocent people! Dead! Again!!”

Bravery frowned and patted her back, “Language, and yes, I know this is very unfair-"

Justice growled, “Unfair is putting that very lightly, it's a mass genocide! That keeps happening, and we never seem to prevent it!”

“We've been discussing that.” DT said as he and Perseverance walked into the room. Justice rolled her eyes and looked to Bravery who seemed annoyed as well.

“Yet not talk about it with us?” Bravery said, saying what justice and the rest in the room where thinking.

“With all due respect, Bravery, we just needed some time to collect our thoughts before speaking with the rest of you.” Perseverance said gently as she sat down next to an empty chair that would have been Kindness’s.

“You could've collected your thoughts with us.” Justice said and looked to DT, “You two aren't the only wizards here, nor where you the only two who witnessed what happened.”

“Justice.” Perseverance sighed as DT took a seat next to her, “Now is not the time to fight.”

“Bullshit!” Justice huffed.

“Language.” Bravery sighed.

“Justice please calm down, I understand you're upset but please let's just get this over with.” Patience smiled, Justice huffed and reluctantly sat down, earning another smile from patience.

DT sighed and folded his hands, “Alright, now that everyone is calm..” Justice huffed and sat closer to Patience, “...anyways, just so you guys know we have a few of our soldiers out there helping the families….with the bodies..”

“But besides that matter, our discussion we had,” Persevere spoke and waited a minute as Kindness entered the room with a clean dress and sat next to her, “This is very clear that this genocide needs to stop.”

“No shit.” Integrity muttered.

Perseverance ignored him and continued to speak, she pulled out a book and turned to a few pages, “Witchcraft isn't really our specialty, but it's something that I'll perform and make a-"

“Wait a minute!” DT said and looked to Perseverance, “I was the one who brought it up I should do it-"

“Foolish.” Perseverance sighed, making everyone in the room go quiet and look to her, even DT was at a loss for words, “As we've discussed, it involves our souls to do this. Do you realize how rare it is for a Determination wizard to be born?”

“Yes but-"

“No.” Perseverance said sternly, “This spell, is a huge risk, I can't allow you to do it, not until I test it out.”

“Test what out?” Kindness asked quietly, Perseverance gave her a small glance before turning back to the rest of the wizards.

“A spell, a dangerous one.” Perseverance said, “To create something that does not have a soul, to make it live.”

“W...what would that do?” Patience asked, she gave Integrity and Justice a confused look and waited for perseverance to answer.

“Well,” Perseverance sighed, “If it works, then we should have a weapon to fight against the terrorist.”

“I still think I should do it.” DT sighed, Perseverance gave him a small look before closing the book.

“We lost Chara.” Perseverance said, she stood up and placed the book into a small bag she had, she slid in her chair and walked to the door, “and we lost Frisk.”

Everyone stayed quiet, Perseverance is the oldest one in the room, she has more memory of the two last Determination wizards than the rest of them.

“The two before you died because they did something foolish.” Perseverance sighed, she was calm and reserved, but everyone could tell she was trying to keep her voice steady, “I'll do it, Perseverance wizards are more common after one dies. So if this fails, it'll be fine.”

She opened the door and looked back one more time, she looked directly at DT and frowned, “Don't be foolish, Judith.” She went through the door without looking back, “You can explain everything else to them, I'll prepare everything.”

Everyone was stunned to silence.

“.......What was the spell..?” Bravery asked to break the silence, DT looked up from his hands and to the others.

“The Thread spell.”
