Jason
Jason closed her eyes and focused on her hands. She held them straight out, parallel to each other with her palms facing the dresser in front of her. A shot of energy coursed through her and her eyes flew open. As cliche as it could be, two blue beams of light shot of her palms and blasted two holes in the wooden dresser.
The common room around her exploded in cheers and Jason gave a mock bow, folding over at her waist.
"Alright, who wants to go next?" She said as her newly found friends gave her a pat on the back.
Suddenly a teacher burst in the common room and shut off the lights.
"All of you, to my office. Now." She demanded.
Jason looked to her friend, Lake, and raised her eye brows. He shrugged and got out of his seat, following the rest of the kids as they left the room.
The swarm of 1st years made their way to the teachers office, murmuring in the hall way to each other. One student thought it would be funny to fly down the stairs using their thraft, but they quickly learned their lesson.
The teacher reached out and pointed directly at the student with a long slender finger. She used her thraft, which was supposedly telekinesis, and plopped the boy down in front of her.
"Walk, please." She added sternly, marching past the stunned first year.
The students filed into her office silently. Jason sat down on the brown sofa in the back of the room next to Lake. The teacher cleared her throat and began to lecture the children.
"How many times do I have to tell you? If you are practicing you thrafts in the dormitory, a teacher must be present. Someone could get hurt. For heaven's sakes, some girl was shooting lasers out of her hands.
Lake chuckled and a few heads turned to Jason.
"Now, I love seeing you all improving and learning, but don't use your thrafts without a teachers supervision. Ok, now you may go back to your dorms."
The students stood up and left, grumbling and muttering about the teacher behind tilted hands. Jason and Lake started walking back together.
"What's that?" Jason pointed to a wooden door with a cursive 'R' painted on in green. "No one knows. It's like a secret club or something that starts with the letter R but no one can figure it out. It's all secretive and stuff." Lake said, shrugging.
"You supposedly get invited in if you do something epic... but no one really knows for sure."
Jason stared at the door as they passed it, thinking to herself.
"Jason? Earth to Jason." Lake clapped her hands in front of her face. "You alright?"
"Yeah..." Jason shook her head to clear it. "Just thinking..." she trailed off.
Lake shook her head and turned into their room. "Whatever. See you in the morning?" She asked when they got to their respective beds.
"Yeah. See you."
