"You have to be kidding me. . ." Naruto spoke as they saw their reinforcements arrive in the form of Team 10, which was lead by Asuma, with Choji, Shikamaru, and Ino, who was already giving Naruto a heart filled stare, causing him to cringe inwardly. 

"Keep her away from me," He whispered to Sakura, gesturing towards Ino. Sakura nodded. 

"Leave it to me." She replied back in a small whisper before Asuma decided to greet them. 

"Hey guys!" He called out, raising his hand and smiling warmly at the other team, causing Kurenai's face to be dashed a little in red, something that Naruto did not miss, making him stew in anger quietly. 

"Hey, Asuma." Kurenai greeted, nodding towards the man. 

"Jeez, you guys just had to request back up, didn't you? What a drag." Shikamaru complained as he looked at Sasuke and Sakura. "Why didn't you guys just abandon the mission?" 

"Because we're not cowards." Naruto responded swiftly, getting Asuma to raise an eyebrow. 

"Sometimes it take a man to back down from a situation when he can't handle that. But you're just a brat so I don't expect you to know that." Naruto glared at the Sarutobi. 

"And sometimes, it takes a man to shut his mouth when he doesn't know of what he speaks." He replied coldly, before jumping back as Ino went to hug him. 

"Aw, don't be so cold, Naruto-kun!" She exclaimed, slowly approaching him. "Your Ino-chan is here." She cooed. Naruto's eyes widened as he looked at Sakura, who only nodded and tackled Ino. 

"Come on, Ino! You have to stop going for him! He doesn't like you!" She shouted at her best friend. "So get serious, this is a B-Rank mission." Ino frowned, puffing her cheeks out. 

"I guess you're right, forehead." She looked at Naruto. "But as soon as this mission is over, I'm going for you." 

"Um, please don't. My girlfriend won't like it too much?" Naruto said, closing his eyes in a small, awkward smile behind his mask. Everyone's eyes widened. 

"You have a girlfriend?!" Everyone shouted except for Kurenai and Asuma, who kept their shock to themselves. 

"Uh, yeah." He let out a nervous chuckle. "I've had a girlfriend for about a couple months." Of course this was a lie, he just wanted Ino off his back. He knew her well enough that she would respect when a woman already had claims on the man. 

"Who is it?" Ino shouted, fury in her voice. "Who dares to sink their claws into my Naruto-kun?!" 

"You don't know her, she's a civilian and I think you'll understand if I don't say her name aloud." Ino's glare lessened, but she was still angry. 

"Well when you open your eyes, you'll see that I'm plenty of women for you." She said before she began walking in the direction of Wave Country, her nose in the air. 

"Wow, I've never seen her that mad before." Choji commented as he ate another chip from his Family-Size potato chip bag. 

"Great, and she'll be like that for the next few weeks. Thanks Naruto." Shikamaru commented. "What a drag. . ." 

"You have a girlfriend, Naruto?" Kurenai asked, a smile on her face. Seems the boy had someone to go through his troubles with. Naruto swallowed the saliva in his mouth before nervously nodding. 

"Y-yeah." He got out. 

"W-wow. Never thought you'd be the first out of our graduating class to get a girlfriend that you actually liked." Naruto shrugged. 

"What can I say, the women love me." Asuma laughed at that, ruffling Naruto's hair, causing the grey haired boy to glare at him, trying to swat his hands away. 

"You mean the girls love you," Asuma chuckled. "Good luck on a woman, they're a lot harder than they seem to tame." He suddenly felt very cold as Kurenai glared at him. 

"Was that's supposed to mean, Asuma?" Asuma almost swallowed the cigarette he was smoking as he suddenly waved his hands in the air, trying to disarm the bomb he had started. 

"Nothing, nothing. I misspoke." Naruto smirked under his mask. 

"Then say what you meant then, Asuma-sensei." Naruto asked innocently, causing Asuma to scowl at the Hatake. "I need to learn how to do this eventually." 

"You damned brat, you already know what to do. You're Kakashi's kid, and I know for a fact that he reads those books around you." Naruto's smirk disappeared. 

He was right of course, Naruto knew more about. . . things, than most people his age. He had read one of his father's books when he was younger, and he hadn't been able to look at other people the same way. 

"Meh, you're right." Naruto said, dropping the act as he began laughing. "But at least I know you're not supposed to tame a woman, just keep her happy and she'll be yours." He answered calmly as he began walking in the direction of Wave, leaving Asuma and Kurenai alone for a second. 

"Looks like Naruto knows more about women than you." Kurenai spoke as she began walking away from Asuma, who only sighed and took another hit from his cigarette. 

"I hate kids. . ." He muttered under his breath and he began walking forward, already hating that his father sent him on such a mission. 

A Couple Hours Later 

The eight shinobi and the one civilian stepped off the boat, thanking the man who had steered the boat, and began walking forward, trying to arrive at Wave as soon as possible. 

Naruto closed his eyes, trying to block out the voices of the various Genin conversing behind him. It was bad to listen to Ino and Sakura talk about boy's, Choji to talk about food, Sasuke to reply with a 'hn', Shikamaru say 'it's a drag', and the constant smell of Asuma's deathsticks was also getting to him. 

"Naruto, get down!" He heard Kurenai scream, and immediately ducked just in time as a large blade flew just centimeters above his head, hitting a tree and then, a ninja was standing on it. He was wearing bandages that covered his face, with dark piercing black eyes and a Mist Headband that had a cut through it, indicating that he was a missing ninja. 

He also had on a muscle shirt, showing off his abs with cow hide covering his arms. 

"What do we have here?" A rough voice came from the man as he looked at Asuma and Kurenai. "Kurenai, the Genjutsu Mistress, and Asuma, One of the Twelve Guardians. You just made my mission a whole lot more fun." He then looked at Naruto, his eyes widening. 

"So, the Copy Ninja did have a son? You look just like him." Naruto looked at the man as he pulled his sword out, getting the man to chuckle. "A toothpick like that won't go against a demon like me." The man chuckled before he jumped off the large sword, before grabbing it and wielding it with ease, resting it on his shoulder. 

"Hand over the bridge builder and I won't kill you all." 

"Zabuza Momochi, the Demon of the Bloody Mist." Asuma commented, getting his specialized blade out that were like brass knuckles with a knife at the end of them. Zabuza chuckled darkly. 

"My reputation proceeds me then." He lifted his sword off his shoulder, pointing it at Asuma, then Kurenai. "Like I said, surrender the bridge builder and you'll be spared." Naruto felt his blood pump in anger as he charged forward, his blade sparkling with lightning. 

"Like hell we will!" He shouted. 

"Naruto, no!" Kurenai shouted as Naruto swung his blade, meeting Zabuza's blade as the electricity over Naruto's blade dissipated. 

"You think something like that would even scratch me? Come back when you're stronger." Zabuza said as he went to kick Naruto away, only to knee a kunai that was in Naruto's other hand, causing his eyes to widen in shock as he yelped in pain, jumping back from the Leaf Ninja. 

"Heh, I underestimated you." Zabuza said, chuckling a little as he took the kunai out of his knee. "But I guess I'll have to do better then, won't I?" 

"Naruto!" Kurenai yelled, ready to charge in and save her student, but was grabbed roughly by the wrist by Asuma, who's face was stone cold. 

"He needs to learn, Kurenai." He said in an even tone. "He needs to learn that there are a lot of people in this world that are stronger than him." Kurenai glared at Asuma, be he remained unflinching. She yanked her wrist from his hand. 

"Fine, but if he dies, you'll die." She promised him as they watched Naruto fight the A-Ranked Shinobi. 

Naruto focused his chakra on his eyes, enjoying the feeling of his Sharingan awakening as he rushed Zabuza, while the large man just waited. He jumped, spinning in mid air as he used his momentum to try to kick Zabuza, who merely blocked it with his forearm, causing Naruto to pause in mid air before Zabuza grabbed the boy's foot and launched him to a tree, causing him to hit the tree with a thud. 

"Learn your betters while you have the chance, boy." Zabuza spoke until he heard voice come from behind me. 

"Trust me, I will. Just really haven't found a better that I've truly fought before." Naruto spoke as he stuck his sword through Zabuza's chest, only to look down in shock as the Zabuza turned to water, and he felt a fire run across his back as Zabuza sliced into it with his sword. 

"Naruto!" Kurenai shouted, panicking as she watched Naruto fall on the ground, blood seeping through his clothes. 

"Well now you have." Zabuza commented before he had to dodge multiple kunai from Kurenai and met blades with Asuma, a grin under his bandages. 

"Finally, a fight!" He shouted. "Thanks! That brat couldn't keep up with me!" 

"Don't you dare mention him!" Kurenai shouted furiously. 

"I-Is Naruto dead?" Sakura squeaked out. Everybody felt queasy, seeing the blood spilling from their comrade's back as if they had opened up a ketchup packet. 

"No way. . ." Shikamaru whispered in shock that was mixed with fear. 

"Naruto. . ." Ino said, tears forming in her eyes. The boy she apparently loved was now dead.

Zabuza ducked under a quick wind jutsu that Asuma sent out, before blocking a few more kunai from Kurenai with his sword.

Naruto's body lay on the ground, completely limp, before a red chakra surrounded the deep and long gash on his back. He slowly got up, his Sharingan activated, now with two commas in each eye, and a long, black slit going straight down the middle of said eye.

"You're gonna have to do better than that to put me down." Naruto said, almost growling as he glared at Zabuza, enjoying the look of surprise that came across his face, and relief that came from the two Jonin fighting the ninja that had sliced into his back.

"How the hell are you alive?" Zabuza finally said, confused as his black eyes narrowed at Naruto. Naruto loosened his body for a second, jumping up and down and popping his neck, before a grin that was hidden from everyone spread across his face.

"The only question that you should be asking is: How long are you going to last against the three of us before you get overwhelmed?"

"What?" Was all Zabuza could get out before red chakra exploded from Naruto's body, the three Jonin level ninja being able to feel the heat from the dangerous chakra.

"Let me show you what a real demon looks like!" Naruto said as he disappeared in a red blur, before he appeared behind Zabuza, his sword ready to take off the man's head before Zabuza quickly used the hilt of his sword to jab Naruto in the stomach, using the boy's own momentum to cause him to spiral out of control and land on the water, where he stood on all fours and glared at the man.

"We don't need two enemies to worry about dammit!" Asuma shouted as he saw a tail begin to come from behind Naruto, obviously the Kyuubi's chakra. Kurenai ignored Asuma's sayings and continued to fight Zabuza.

"Naruto won't hurt us, he's in control." Asuma snorted.

"You have too much faith in him." He said as he managed to land a cut on Zabuza's side, causing the man to take a step back, only to have to dodge as Naruto tried to use his newly grown claws to slice the man's back open, just like he had done to the boy moments before. Zabuza slammed Naruto with the blunt side of his sword, causing Naruto to hit a tree for the second time that day before he felt getting cuts on multiple sides of his body as Asuma sent various wind jutsus, and Kurenai sending earth jutsu at him.

"Agh!" He cried out as he felt his back hit a tree. "Damn, killed by two peaceful junkies and a brat. Oh how the mighty have fallen." He spoke, before two needles pierced him right in the neck, causing his eyes to widen in shock before he fell forward, his body limp.

"I-Is he dead?" Sakura asked. The only Genin who actually did something was Naruto, the others didn't, couldn't, help at all. The man was just too strong for them. As much as they hated to admit it, they were scared.

Asuma bent down and felt Zabuza's pulse. Nothing.

"Yeah, he's dead. But who killed him with these needles?" He asked, poking one of the silver needles.

"That would be me." A soft voice said. They looked up and saw a Hunter Ninja with an Anbu mask on that had the Mist insignia on it. The Hunter Ninja jumped down and bowed. "Thank you for distracting him. I've been all his trail for quite a while now." Asuma pulled out another cigarette, and lit it up before taking a deep breath, an easy going smile coming across his face.

"No problem." The Hunter Ninja put a hand on the dead man's back.

"I will dispose of his body in private, no offense, but we don't want our secrets at Mist exposed to Konoha Ninja." The Hunter Ninja said. Asuma rose his hands and took a step back.

"Do what you need to do, I understand." He said as the Hunter Ninja disappeared in a body flicker. Asuma sighed and turned to Kurenai.

"Well that was tiring." Kurenai ignored his statement and went over to Naruto, who was nursing his shoulder that had hit the wood of the tree harder than he'd like to admit. He barely did anything to help beat Zabuza. Was he that weak? Even with the Kyuubi's chakra, he barely laid a finger on the big man.

These were people who were on Jonin level, a level he wasn't even close to getting to. At the very most, he was low to mid Chunin level. A strength that was unsatisfactory. He looked up at Kurenai, who was approaching him quickly, her face stoic, and he felt nervous.

Was she mad for him charging at Zabuza? Was she upset he had used the Kyuubi's chakra? Was she mad that he had ignored her orders to stay back?

His answer was received when she enveloped him in a hug. "I'm happy you're okay, Naruto." Naruto felt his cheeks burn as he felt her cleavage press against his face, but decided to hug his sensei back. He may never get to be with her, but he would get as close as possible to the woman.

"But," She began, pulling away and putting her hands on his shoulder, looking him deep in the eyes. "If you ever do something so reckless again I'll kill you myself." Naruto gulped.

"Y-Yes ma'am." Naruto whispered in response, and the other Genin began laughing at the embarrassed boy's situation. He turned around and glared at them.

"Oh shut up ya good for nothing bastards!" He shouted, crossing his arms.

Things were finally looking up for Naruto Hatake.

And done. Was it good? Bad? Tell meeeeeeeee!

Anyways, yeah. I'm enjoying writing Naruto's story. This MAY be my favorite story out of all of my stories so far. Keyword: May. I just don't know. But yeah, I'ma add my own little twist to this arc.

That way, it'll fun as fuck for all of you, and crazy for me to write!
