Chapter 28: Village Hidden in the Mind

"Is that really all the Rock Village can do? And you dare call yourselves one of the great five." A man mocked, dressed in all white and a scratched Taki Headband. Kurotsuchi was panting but was at least standing up, unlike Akatsuchi, who was laying on the ground, clutching a stab wound from a poisoned kunai the mysterious man dressed in white had been using.

Kioku was looking at the man, panting heavily, blood seeping from his shoulder as he tried to slow, or at least stop the bleeding from flowing.

Kioku's POV

It hurt. My shoulder hurt so bad. I'm sure it was broken, and I didn't want to question the white thing coming out from the back, obviously being a bone. Kurotsuchi wasn't faring better at all. Akatsuchi-nii had been stabbed by that damn kunai the missing-nin had been using.

"Weak. You're weak. Can I have my body now? I feel like it'd be for the best of everyone." I shook my head, the hate-filled voice plaguing my thoughts once again. I don't know where it came from, but this was getting annoying.

I just wanted to live my life normally, not having a conscience who always tried to take over my body. I tried pulling out my sword with my uninjured arm, but a sharp pain coursed through my body, and I tried my best not to let out a yelp of pain.

"Ha! A simple shoulder injury is what takes you down?" The missing-nin clad in white shouted as he kicked me in the stomach, causing me to spit up saliva, as I crashed into a nearby rock, my body leaning against it has I felt the back of my head trickle with blood. Was this how we were going to die? I've barely been awake for a year, and I was going to die on my first real mission out?

"I'm going to kill that little girlfriend of yours now, okay?" I heard the almost sadistic man whisper in my ear before walking towards Kurotsuchi, who was frozen in what I think was fear. No, no, no, no, no.

"Get up." I heard the hate-filled voice say, but this time, there was an owner to the voice. I looked up and saw a boy a year or two years younger than me standing there, a black hoodie covering most of his face with bandages across of his left arm with a pair of black sweat pants and combat boots. He was smirking. Smirking! At my predicament!

"Who are you?" I asked him. His smirk only grew as he got eye level with me, looking at me with curiosity.

"No one." He answered coolly. "Get up, and kill that son of a bitch. You want your friends to die? By that? Do you want to die, by that?" Before I could even answer he spoke up again. "Just let me have my body okay? I'll save them, I promise. I won't let them hurt you ever again!" I shook my head, slowly standing up as the boy in front of me disappeared, the smirk never leaving his face.

I looked up and saw the missing-nin approaching my friends, and I unconsciously turned my head and a loud crack was heard.

Then everything went black.

No One's POV

Kurotsuchi looked at the ninja in fear, unable to fight back. She was going to die. She was going to die. She was going to-

A dark chakra spiked into the area, gaining both the missing ninja's and Kurotsuchi's attention.

Kioku was up, but he seemed different. His posture was different, the way he held his sword, was different. The way he walked forward with such confidence, was different.

"Oh, you're up already, let me knock you back down!" The missing ninja shouted, but stopped when electricity boosted around Kioku, or more namely, his sword, which was by his side.

"Kill, kill, kill, kill. Control, I was, I want, I need, control. I need to kill. Paint the picture red with blood. Paint everything red with blood. Delete the problem, The problem, delete it!" He shouted, his voice slowly eating his away his sanity as he looked at the missing ninja, a predatory look in his eyes. "DIE!"

Blood stained everything in sight, and none of it was Kioku's. Kurotsuchi looked at the blood covered boy and almost crawled back in fear. There, Kioku was standing with his back turned to her, his sword dyed with the red blood that was the missing nin's, and the missing-nin laid on the ground, now unrecognizable.

"No," Kioku muttered, dropping his sword as he realized what he had done. "No no no," He stumbled backwards, falling on his butt. "No! I didn't, I didn't want-" He suddenly stopped speaking as he grasped his head. "It hurts!" No, not his head, his eye that had a scar. He grabbed his torso next. "Hurts hurts, hurts, hurts, hurts, make it stop!" A grey chakra began forming around the boy as blood spilled across the ground, mixing in with the dirt. "MAKE IT STOP!" He screamed, turning towards Kurotsuchi, who was shocked to see his once brown eyes now completely red, which didn't surprise her, she knew he had the Sharingan, it was one of the reasons why Kioku was now part of the village. But, this eye, it was different, he had a weird design that she couldn't describe, and a single line of blood was rolling down both of his eyes.

"Uchiha, Uchiha, Uchiha, no, yes! Kill! Murder! Slaughter!" A rib cage of the grey chakra suddenly formed around him, as a single right arm appeared, also made of grey chakra, with a sword in hand. Kioku put his hand above his scarred eye and began laughing maniacally. "Kill, kill, kill, paint the canvas with your blooooood!" He screamed, the sword raising in the air, intent on hitting her.

'I can't, there's no way. What type of power, is this?' Kurotsuchi thought as she looked at Kioku with pure terror in her eyes as she shut them, not wanting to see the blade come between her eyes.

She was suddenly pushed out the way before a cry was heard, and she opened her eye to see an Anbu member in her place, now dead as his body was cut in half. 'That was supposed to be me.' She thought.

A squad of Anbu members had appeared, a total of 8, now 7. Anbu grabbed her and Akatsuchi as the other five battled Kioku, who was trying his best to slaughter them.

"Hehehe," He laughed, knocking back two of the Anbu squad members. "Weak, weak, weak, weak. Like me, weak, weak, weak. Gotta, gotta-" He was stopped in between his crazed rants as he was suddenly hit with several different ninjutsu, but they had done no damage to him.

"How are we supposed to beat this guy if we can't use lethal ninjutsu?" An Anbu member asked, looking up at his captain, who was breathing hard from the fight.

"We aren't supposed to kill him, that's Tsuchikage-sama's order." He took out a thick pack of paper that had weird writing on them. "These are supposed to take down Roshi and Han when they're being flooded with demon chakra, Tsuchikage-sama said these should work in suppressing the boy." He quickly threw several of the sealing notes to his squad members, and each one of them worked fluently together to place several of the tags on the grey chakra-like armor.

The grey chakra disappeared, and they suddenly slapped more chakra suppressions on his body, and held still for the moment, surrounding the teen as he wiped the blood from his eyes.

"Did, did it work?" An exhausted Anbu asked carefully. Kioku tilted his head, a loud crack emitting the air, laughter coming out of his mouth as a kunai was in his hand.

"Death, help, death, death, I, I killed them, all of them, I can't, Uchiha. Gen-Gen, Kure-, Ha-, Saru-, I, death, dead, dead, dead, dead, dead. I'M DEAD!" He screamed madly as he charged one of the tired Anbu, slitting his throat easily before grabbing said Anbu's sword as holding it menacingly in one hand, the kunai in the other.

"Damn it!" One of them yelled as they all charged Kioku, swords ready to defend themselves and subdue the boy.

Kioku ducked under a swipe of the blade and easily disarmed the man by stabbing him in the leg with a kunai, leaving the kunai in the leg, and grabbing the sword out of his hand and using it to block another sword swipe, before stabbing an Anbu with his one free sword, the hilt knocking the Anbu who had been stabbed in the leg out.

"He's a monster!" One of the remaining three shouted as Kioku defended them both off by dual wielding the two stolen swords.

"Hehehe, flys, ants, worms, rats, vermin!" He swiped his swords up, a grin on his face. "All of you!" But before he could start attacking once again, he was suddenly restrained as the seals shocked him to the core. "AGGHHH!" He screamed in agony before he fell to the ground, now unconscious.

"He's finally down." One of the remaining Anbu said in a relieved tone. The captain sighed, nodding.

"Yes, but at what cost?"

And done. How was it? Good? Bad? Tell meeeeee!

ANYways, getting some back story on Kioku, who I decided to name Kioku because, yeah. Slightly Tokyo-Ghoulish, but I'ma add my own lil twist into it.

I like the way this story is going btw.

Til next time my lil demons!
