"What's wrong?" Haku asked as Naruto's face twisted, sensing something to the right of the group. 

"Is it a team?" Sasuke asked, a kunai in hand. 

"Your father would be disappointed, Sasuke," Naruto muttered, getting a shock filled look from Sasuke. "You can't feel their chakras yet?" Sasuke visibly frowned. 

"Not necessarily. Itachi-nii hasn't taught me that yet." Naruto felt the urge to roll his eyes, but held it back as he rushed forward, sword in hand, disappearing into the bushes. Suddenly, Naruto was flung back, hitting a tree hard, causing a few leaves to fall down. 

"Ku ku ku," The Kusa Ninja laughed as she took a step out the bushes, a smirk plastered on her features. "I didn't think I'd be that easy to detect, Naruto-kun, though, you surpassed my expectations." Naruto stood back up, a bored look in his eye as lightning surrounded his blade. 

"Orochimaru of the Sannin, what a surprise. To think that you have to test your skills to Genin is quite the surprise in my opinion." The female body scowled before it shifted, revealing a tall man with silky black hair that went down his back, in a light green tunic with a purple rope tied around his waist, his eyes green with black slits in the middle. 

"You're only partly correct. I want to test YOUR abilities before I make my investment." Haku threw a couple ice needles at him, but he easily dodged them before disappearing in a flash and kicking Haku in the stomach, sending her flying. 

"A Yuki? I thought you were all extinct. This is an interesting find, but I'm not interested in you." Sasuke made a few hand seals and blew a fireball, only for Orochimaru to walk through the fire as if it didn't hurt him at all. 

"To think that the genius of the Uchiha Clan would try to kill me, a Sannin, with a mere fireball, I'm quite disappointed, Sasuke." Sasuke looked at him with a look filled with fear and surprise, but was immediately knocked out by the Sannin with a quick blow to the head. 

"Now, it's just you an me, Naruto-kun." Orochimaru said as he licked his lips as he watched Naruto intently. "Why didn't you move to save your teammates?" 

"Because I don't care for them, the only one that is mildly useful is Sasuke, and that's because he is of blood, the girl means nothing to me." Orochimaru laughed. 

"Such harsh words, and to think that you saved this girl from those ninja from Kiri." If Naruto threw his head up, laughing. Haku looked up, her head dizzy and she saw Naruto laughing. 

"Saved her? You think I saved her? No, I'm using her of course. She's bringing her bloodline to Konoha, nothing more. Ha, she even thinks we have a connection. Once she produces a male heir," Naruto grinned, revealing his sharp canine teeth. "I don't care if she dies, shit, I might even kill her myself." Haku took a sudden breath, gasping as she watched the boy talk in such a way. 

Was it true? The Naruto she knew would never say that, but then again, was this the Naruto she knew? Or maybe she never knew Naruto at all? Perhaps he Naruto she knew was a fake. The next sentence confirmed it. 

"That trick, that act, it was all so she could trust me, she was so desperate for something to cling onto after he pathetic master died, only a few sweet words did the trick." Naruto began laughing. "So don't tell me about harsh, Oro-chi-ma-ru." The Hatake disappeared in a streak of grey before engaging the Sannin in a one-sided taijutsu match, with the Sannin only dodging with a smirk on his lips. 

"For someone of your lineage," Orochimaru began as he easily grabbed onto Naruto's arm, twisting it to the side til the grey haired boy stopped moving. "I'm quite disappointed." He twisted Naruto's arm one last time until a snap was heard.

"AGGGHHHHH!" Naruto screamed as his arm was broken. He quickly yanked out of the Sannin's grasp, clutching his now broken arm as sweat went down his face. "Y-you, b-b-bastard." Naruto got out, breathing heavily. Orochimaru laughed. 

"To be able to speak after I broke your arm, you're quite determined, Naruto-kun, as a reward." His neck lengthened and he bit into Naruto's neck, causing the Hatake to scream in agony as a three commas appeared on his neck. "As a reward, I'll give you some power. Once you get a taste," The snake-like man hissed in Naruto's ear. "You get addicted." And like that, the Sannin was gone. 

Naruto fell to the ground, clutching his neck as his eyes widened, screaming at the top of his lungs. Haku came out from behind a tree, limping as she saw Naruto yell. 

She had heard everything the boy had said. Every, little, thing. Her fears had come true. Naruto really WAS using her. But, she had to keep him safe. Even if that meant ignoring what he had said. 

Hours Later

"That Ice-Bitch is skilled, so is the Uchiha. We might actually have a problem on our hands." A girl named Kin said as she huddled down next to her teammates, Zaku and Dosu. 

"Then how about instead of a grand entrance," Dosu began, his voice laced with sarcasm. "We take them out like real ninja." He pointed at Zaku's arms, and the boy grinned. 

"You're right, no wonder Orochimaru-sama likes you so much." Zaku replied as he suddenly blasted the sound out of his gauntlets as they revealed themselves, standing over a now unconscious Haku and Sasuke. 

"That was easy." Kin muttered as she looked at the unconscious form of Haku. "I was actually hoping to fight." 

"Don't work hard, work smart." Dosu said as he looked at the sleeping Naruto. "Now come on, we gotta kill this kid and go on to the next part of the exams." The three Sound Genin approached the Leaf Genin, who was tossing and turning in his sleep, groaning in pain. 

"Heh, I almost pity the kid." Zaku spoke as he brought out a kunai. "Whatever, you remember the rules, take out his eyes and cut off his head." Kin rose an eyebrow. 

"Why his eyes? I can understand the head part, but the eyes? What's so special about them?" Dosus shrugged. 

"I don't question orders, just follow them." 

"You talk too much." Naruto spoke in a calm voice, dark, purple chakra swirling around him as he stood up. "If you reacted quick enough, you could've killed me easily without much of a fuss, now I have to kill you." The three Genin went on guard, ready to attack when needed, but the sight of the Hatake was gone, he had just, vanished. 

"You know," A voice came from their right. "Orochimaru sure as hell interest me," This time, the voice came from the left. "What can you tell me about him?" 

"Like hell we'll-" Zaku began, only for his head to roll off his shoulders, blood spraying out of his neck, landing on Kin and Dosu, whose eyes had widened in horror. 

"You're all trash, just tell me what I wish to know." Naruto said, appearing in front of Kin and Dosu, who were still shocked at the sudden death of their teammate. 

"W-We don't know anything." Dosu said, taking a step back. "Only that he never does things without a purpose." Naruto pondered Dosu's words for a moment before shrugging. 

He took a single step forward, a sadistic grin on his face, his sword being covered with electricity, his Sharingan slowly spinning. He was stopped when a single hand grabbed on his shoulder. 

"Naruto-kun," Itachi whispered in the boy's ear. "There's no need for that right now." 

"What are you doing here? I thought Shisui was to keep me under surveillance?" Itachi merely shrugged. 

"He had a mission." He looked up, seeing the two Genin and nodded to them. "Go ahead and run, you won't be spared twice." They instantly disappeared, and Naruto was pushed to the ground by Itachi. "You need to calm yourself. You're an Uchiha, not a savage." 

"You needn't worry of me, Itachi." Naruto said, standing back up. "Fugaku-sama didn't say anything about not fighting anyone. I just have to keep Sasuke safe." Itachi glanced at his younger brother. 

"Yes, and you've done a wonderful job so far." He said, pointing at Sasuke's unconscious form. The marks on Naruto's face slowly disappeared, going right back into their three commas. 

"I apologize, but we've encountered an anomaly. Orochimaru has infiltrated the village." Itachi nodded. 

"We knew of this, but we did not know he would attack his allies." Naruto rose an eyebrow. 

"Allies?" Itachi nodded once again. 

"During the Third Exams, we're going to be overthrowing the Hokage with Orochimaru and his army, which is rumored to include Sand as well." Naruto didn't say anything and made two Shadow Clones to pick up Haku and Sasuke. 

"Good. Hopefully we'll be done with all this so I can have some rest." Itachi held back a chuckle as he watched the boy run off with his teammates in tow. 

"The Tragedy of Naruto Hatake, seems like it'd be a good book." Itachi said before disappearing in a shushin. 

And done. How was it? Good? Bad?

It feels sorta rushed to me, but I was just kinda getting this chapter out of the way ya know? Things are gonna start hitting the fan soon enough, and that's when things get interesting.
