Haku woke up feeling cold and uncomfortable for some reason. Ever since she had moved in with Naruto, she had woken up feeling quite warm and had a feeling that she couldn't really describe. 

But now, it was gone. She reached to the left, and found nothing. Naruto wasn't there. In all, that wouldn't be quite that odd seeing as how the boy often gets up early and picks up breakfast for the two of them, and leaves it on his desk. But, there was no breakfast. 

Maybe he was still out getting it? No, his side of the bed was cold, meaning he hasn't been there for at least two hours. 

Something was wrong. Deadly wrong. 

She shot straight up and slipped on some clothes before bursting out the door and running into the living room, where she saw Kakashi reading his porn novel on the couch, his Sharingan out as if he didn't want to miss a single detail. 

"Kakashi-san!" Haku said in a worried tone. "Naruto is not here." Kakashi waved her off, not really concerned. His child was strong enough to take care of himself. 

"He's fine, Naruto's a big boy." He said, turning the page as he read it delicately. 

"He hasn't been home in a couple of hours, and he is always ready with breakfast." This made Kakashi raise his eyebrow. He closed his book and stood up, wiping the imaginary dust off his Jonin vest and nodded, putting his Sharingan away. 

"Very well. Come on, we gotta find my lil Naru-chan!" He said, obviously impersonating someone, but Haku didn't know who. Perhaps, Naruto's mother? 

They ran out of the house, quickly searching the streets and alleyways of Konoha, but finding nothing. 

"Okay, now I'm a little worried." Kakashi muttered as he stood next to the girl. "Should we alert your sensei?" Haku shook her head. 

"It would be useless as of now. If we can't find him, then Sarutobi-sensei won't be able to find him." Kakashi rolled his eyes. 

"The man fought in all three Great Ninja Wars, if anything, he's possibly the only one that can find Naruto." Haku shrugged. 

"It's worth a try." She said before the two disappeared in a blur. 

"Wishy washy, wishy wash, wish washy, wish wash." Naruto said aloud as he sat on a tree in the Forest of Death. "The trees are coming down. The gate inside is breaking, rain pours down from the clouds." He freely spoke as he watched a giant tiger completely swallow a rather large centipede. 

He was about to continue his little rhyming scheme, but was stopped when he felt a chakra pulse from a few yards away from him. He looked over and saw a woman with purple hair that was tied up into a bun on the top of her head, with a large, tan overcoat that went all the way down to her thighs, with a net shirt on, leaving little to the imagination as the cloak barely covered her breast. She had on an orange skirt with shinobi shorts under them, making sure to reveal nothing from her precious spot. 

"What are you doing here, Hatake?" She asked, glaring at him. 

"I find it peaceful here." Naruto responded easily. "Though the same can be asked of you, what are you doing here?" The woman smirked at the grey haired boy. 

"Making sure that this place is dangerous enough for the brats that are taking the Chunin Exams tomorrow." Naruto looked down at the tiger that was eating the centipede. 

"That is tomorrow, isn't it." He said, making it a statement rather than a question. The woman nodded. 

"Yeah, not get out or else I'll force you out. I can't let you get a head start, ya know?" Naruto stood up, revealing a rather large cut on his face, which extended from his right eyebrow to his right cheek, and it was still rather fresh. 

"I will not. I like it here, and I wish to stay for a couple more minutes. I'd rather that you didn't try anything foolish, because even though you are a shinobi of Konoha, and I am as well, I will not hesitate to put you down." He said in a blank tone. 

The woman, or Anko if the readers prefer because the author is tired of saying 'the woman, looked at the Hatake in shock. 

"What the hell did you just say to me?" She whispered, venom coming from her mouth as she took out a kunai. "I'm a goddamn Jonin, you think you can put me down?" Naruto met her eyes, a blank stare meeting her angered one. 

"Yes." He said simply. "Besides, I know who you are, Anko Mitarashi. Special Jonin, a rank below a Jonin, the one student of Orochimaru of the Sannin. You've still use the Snake Contract as of today, even though Orochimaru has been a traitor for numerous years, and you can only summon small ones at that. Your goal in life is to kill your sensei because he gave you the curse mark on your neck, did I leave out anything?" 

"Yeah," She said, glaring at the boy. "You forgot the part where I beat Kakashi Hatake's little brat into the ground!" Naruto didn't say anything, choosing to look down as the large tiger went away from it's meal, satisfied and full. 

"Let me put it in a way you understand," Naruto said as he looked Anko dead in the eye. "You put a single hand on me, I will kill you. Then, when questioned, I will say that I refused to help you when you got eaten by a large tiger." Anko narrowed her eyes at the boy before sighing. 

"Look, we're both shinobi of Konoha, we shouldn't be fighting. You want to stay here? Fine. Just don't get in my way, brat." She said before vanishing into the thin air, leaving leaves to where she had been standing. 

"I can't wait to compete in the Exams," The boy said aloud, talking to himself. "But I hope I don't stain my clothes. Red is a nasty color." 

"Naruto Hatake?" A man spoke as he landed in front of him, dressed in full Anbu armor. "The Third Hokage wants to see you." Naruto stood up, and followed the Anbu without a reply. 

What was there to reply to? 

The two arrived in the Hokage's office, revealing a worried Haku and Kakashi, whose face's immediately melted into relief when they saw him. The Anbu who had found Naruto bowed before Hiruzen, before disappearing. 

"Haku, Father, Hokage-sama." Naruto said as he looked at each person in the room. "Is there a reason why I am here?" Hiruzen rose his eyebrow at being addressed so formally by his student, and Haku and Kakashi looked at him strangely. 

"You were missing for a few hours, Naruto-kun." Hiruzen said cautiously. "Are you alright?" Naruto nodded. 

"Everything is well, Hokage-sama." 

"Naruto-kun, where'd you go?" Haku asked him, a worried tone in her voice again as she saw the Hatake speaking in a weird tone. 

"No where. Just enjoying the beauty of the forest is all." He said in a blank tone, causing chills to go down her spine. She looked at him with suspicion in her eyes. 

"And you didn't tell anybody because. . .?" She said, leaving him to fill in the blank. Naruto looked at her with an expressionless face. 

"Because it was none of your business. What I do on my free time is my business, and no one else's unless it threatens Konoha, then, it's the Hokage's business. But not yours, nor father's." He said plainly before looking at the Hokage. "Am I dismissed?" 

Sarutobi looked at Naruto strangely, and nodded slowly. 

"Naruto," He spoke up before the boy could walk out the door, making him stop mid-step. "Have you talked to Danzo recently?" Naruto turned around, his face blank as ever. 

"I can't say I have. Though, I will be seeking him out soon, I have business with him." He didn't bother to glance at either Haku or Kakashi when he closed the door behind them. 

"Something's definitely up with him." Haku said, getting a nod of agreement from Kakashi. 

"It's like he doesn't have any emotion, or he's suppressing them extremely well." Hiruzen added. He let out a tired sigh. "But one does not simply have a 180 personality flip like that, there's usually reasons and causes for such things, like the death of a loved one, or in a stressful situation. But neither of these have happened to Naruto recently," He eyed Haku for a second before continuing. "Well, nothing that happened that affected him negatively, long-term wise." 

". . ." Kakashi remained silent, thinking long and hard about what to do with the situation that was laid before him. 

Things have changed. 

Naruto felt everyone's eyes on him as he walked along the road, but he didn't care. Why should he? They were just people who were blinded by their unguided hatred, he would be able to bear that burden, it wasn't that heavy, well, at least for him.

He could handle anything thrown his way, or so he thought.

"...Walking around like that, as if he belongs here." A whisper spoke out from the rest, and Naruto continued walking, again, he didn't care.

"A demon in human skin. . ."

"Why does the Third let him walk around? It's dangerous."

Naruto continued to walk forward. The words echoing in his head. Perhaps they were right, maybe he was a demon in human skin. . .

But he had things to do, like what he was currently doing, and that was visiting the Uchiha Compound. He had to talk to the clan head, Fugaku Uchiha about their plans.

He knocked on their door, which was opened by Mikoto Uchiha, the man's wife, who smiled sadly at him, though he didn't understand.

"He's in his study, waiting for you." Naruto didn't say anything, just walked past the woman and didn't even look at Sasuke, who was sitting on the couch, reading a book.

"Hey, Naruto!" Sasuke called out but was stopped when he brother, Itachi, only put a hand on his shoulder, shaking his head. "What's wrong?"

"Naruto has a lot on his mind at the moment, Sasuke, let him speak with father." Sasuke frowned, but nodded nonetheless.

Naruto opened the door and walked into the study, closing the door behind him as Fugaku sat at his desk, writing something. Fugaku looked up, and a pleased smirk came across his face as he saw his handy work.

Kotoamatsukami was an amazing genjutsu, that was of no doubt.

"Report?" He asked, his tone serious as his smirk disappeared, getting down to business.

"The Forest of Death has been properly taken care of, all of the paper bombs were planted without any trouble." Fugaku nodded.

"Good, anything else?" Naruto nodded.

"You were right. The Hokage suspects something, but I believe he blames it on Danzo, which may be a good cover, but then again, we need to dispose of him for our plans to come to light." Fugaku thought about this, but was internally laughing.

Kotoamatsukami made the user believe they were doing what the caster wanted on their own free will, even if Naruto had known that Fugaku used that Genjutsu on him, he would've still thought he would be doing the same things on his own free will. This was easily one of the most powerful Genjutsu in the world.

"Naruto, what do you think of me?" Fugaku asked, shocking Naruto, but the Hatake kept his face blank.

"I believe that you will bring the Hidden Leaf back to its former glory. The way you've raised Itachi and Sasuke, I think that you being the Fifth Hokage would be beneficial for everyone." Fugaku smirked.

"Good. Naruto, do you have a girlfriend?" Naruto looked at Fugaku for a second, before responding.

"No, I don't have a girlfriend." He said. "If I may ask, why would I need one?" Fugaku held his hands together and leaned his rather large chin on the top of them.

"Your family will try to stop us, Naruto, especially that girl. In order to drive her away, you can get a girlfriend and ignore her. You father is different, however. He will have to be dealt differently, perhaps, you can call out his flaws, or maybe move out of his house and with the girlfriend you choose to have." Naruto bowed.

"It shall be done, Hokage-sama." Naruto said before he began walking out, but he stopped, and turned around. "What shall be done to Danzo and his Root?" Fugaku waved his hand in the air, not really worried about the old Anbu commander.

"Exterminate them, but keep it under wraps. Leave no survivors." Naruto bowed once again.

"It shall be done." And with that, Naruto walked out of the room, leaving Fugaku alone until Itachi walked into the study, his eyes narrowed at his father.

"What did you do to Naruto?" Fugaku rose an eyebrow at his son's tone, but decided to ignore it. . .for now.

"To think that I've done anything is a little insulting, Itachi." Fugaku said, fake disgust in his words. "Naruto is only realizing what you refuse to believe." Itachi's eyes widened.

"You don't mean. . ." Fugaku smirked.

"Of course I do, the Uchiha will be the top dogs in Konoha, and we will be triumphant, especially with the Kyuubi by our side."

And done. How was it? Good? Bad? Tellllll meeeeeeeeeeee!

Anyways, who should be Naruto's girlfriend to get away from Haku and Kakashi? A one time request type thing. Can't be Tenten though.
