~Ashley's Pov~

We came back to Alexandria with Siddiq. We hid him in a tunnel/sewer system that was under Alexandria. Rick still wasn't back yet. Daryl was back too. Turns out he took Rosita, Michonne and Tara to The Sanctuary. But they were back now. "Hey, I'll meet up with you in a bit, I gotta- do something." He said looking at me. I looked at him and nodded. "okay, I gotta go talk to Daryl" i said softly. He looked at me and nodded. I turned around. "Wait-" he said quickly and grabbed my hand.

I looked back at him. I walked back to him and he kissed me. I kissed him back. "I love you" He said looking at me. "I love you too" i said softly, Giving him a smile. He returned it with another small smile. We let go and i walked over to Daryl and the rest that were back. I still felt eyes on me. I turned around to see Carl still looking at me. I gave him a smile and he smiled back. He backed away a bit and headed to his place. Everyone else was outside, Preparing. this fight wasn't over just yet. "Where did you go. You didn't tell me or anyone." He said. "I know. Where did you go. You didn't tell me either." i said. "You know where i went." he said. "Yeah, It was stupid." i said looking at him.

He shook his head. "I couldn't just stay here." He said. "It as stupid." I said again. "Yeah but i couldn't just stay here. I told ya already." he said. "I heard the first time, What did you do anyways?" I asked him as we walked. "We let the walkers in. So they can help us- or finish what we started. We don't know yet." he said. I nodded. "Why?" i asked softly."Because, I wanted to do something else. And we lowered their numbers." he said. "okay, does Rick know?" i asked. He shook his head. "No." he said. "Then-" he cut me off.

"What were you two doing out there. I know you didn't go out there alone." he said. "I went with Carl, we were looking for that guy we found.. Rick scared them off and Carl wanted to go after him" I said. "Did you find him?" he asked. "Yes" i said. "Where is he?" He asked. "You'll find out later" i said. "what's that supposed to mean?" he asked. "It means, You'll find out later." I said.

~Later on that same night~

I went to Rick's place again. It was now dark and i haven't seen Carl since he told me had to do "Something". I opened the door and looked around. "Carl?" I asked. "I'm in here" i heard. "Care to be more specific?" i asked smiling. "Kitchen Babe." He said. I turned the corner. "oh" i said softly. "Oh." He mimicked. "Shut up" i said smiling a little. He returned the small smile and looked at the brown bag that was on the counter. "What's that?" i asked walking up to him and the bag. "Supplies, for Siddiq" He said looking at me as i looked in the bag. I nodded. "Lets go" he said. "now?" i asked looking at him. He nodded "Yeah" he said. I nodded once again, He grabbed the bag and we headed to the entrance.

He set the bag down and moved the cover that was closing of the sewer. "Carl." We hear another voice. We looked over and saw Michonne. "I've been looking for you two. We're ready to head out, What are you guys doing?" She asked looking at the bag and back at Carl. "Helping someone. A traveler." he said a little out of breath, "In the sewer?" she asked. Carl and I looked at each other but we heard a banging on the front door which made all our heads turn towards that direction.

My heart started racing, "You may be wondering why the hell your lookouts didn't sound the alarm." We herd Negan loud and clear over a sound system. Carl walked forward a bit. Looking in the direction the voice was coming from. "See? We are polite. I mean i don't know when they'll wake up with that kind of shot, But they'll wake up. So let's just cut through the cow shit. You lose. It's over." Negan said. Carl looked back at me and i looked at him scared. Rick wasn't here. That's one thing we're missing. Rick. We looked back once again to see everyone else gathering up. Listening into this too.

"You're gonna work out some apologies. And then the person with the lamest one. Is gonna get killed. Then i kill Rick In front of everybody and we move on. You have 3. Count them. 3 minutes to open this gate. or we start bombing the shit out of you." Negan said. "They got out." Michonne whispered. I looked at her. Like i said, Daryl did something so stupid. He started whistling. "cmon." Carl said staring to run to the sewer to block the entrance again. I backed away slowly. "Now. Ashley. Please." He said grabbing my arm. Pulling me away. Michonne followed.

We ran to the rest and we got to the truck. We had more weapons here. "Help me." Carl said as we reached the truck. We started loading up some smoke grenades in a bag. "We need to make it look like we're escaping out back." he said speaking to everyone here. He explained the plan. How we're going to cut the saviors. Kill them there and come back on foot. "we need to get the guns. Get everyone else here. And we'll meet you there." Carl said. I loaded the last one and he took the bag.

"2 minutes people. Dig deep. I want these apologies to be memorable. Bonus points for creativity! Work up a poem. Sing me a song- i love that shit! " Negan said. "Get going. There's gonna be people in the infirmary. They're gonna need your help." Carl said. A group of people took off. Hearts were racing. We don't know what's going to happen tonight. "We have guns. We can fight them." Tara said. "We will. But not now, Carl's right." Rosita said. "Carl. We can't just let them have this place." Michonne said. "We can. All we need to do is survive the night. This is my show. You said it. This is my plan. And you're gonna do it." Carl said looking at Michonne then all of us. "You're all gonna do it. "So go now." He said.

Rosita, Tara and Michonne left. "Go with them." Carl said looking at me. "1 minute!" We hear Negan. "No. I'm not leaving you alone." i said looking at him. "you have to. You have to go Ashley. Please." he said looking at me. "No- carl don't make me leave you. please. I don't want to." i said looking at him, shaking my head. He came up to me and put a hand on my cheek and another on my shoulder. "Look. I don't know what's going to happen okay? But i need you to go. now. Please listen to me. Go." He said. "Carl-" I said but he cut me off. "Please!" He yelled a bit. I blinked a few times shocked. "Please." He said again calmer.

He kissed and hugged me. "Go. Daryl take her. Now." Carl said letting me go. "I love you okay? But you need to go now. Let me do this Ashley." He said letting me go. "I love you." He said. "I love you too.." i said sadly. "Let's go." Daryl said putting a hand on my back. Carl turned hesitantly and ran towards the gate while Daryl and I ran to the cars. To get out of Alexandria.
