~Ashley's Pov~

Ezekiel, Rick and Maggie. The three leaders of sanctuaries that are under control by Negan. We were planning on fighting. The others were cleaning up the streets from the bodies. Some of our people, Some of Ezekiel's people, Some of Maggie's people, and some of Negan's people. This was only the beginning. Once this war stars were losing even more people. I know that and we all know that. We're going to lose people we care about again and it's going to hurt like hell... But it's a price we're all going to have to pay if we want to take down Negan's group once and for all..

I was sitting on some steps, Outside of a empty home. I was just thinking about what just happened. About what's going to happen. And i'm scared. I really am, We don't know who we are going to lose. We can lose our leader. Our family, Our friends. Anyone we love can be lost in a second and it's scary to think about. "Hey" I looked over to see Daryl. He took off his crossbow and put it down. "You alright?" He asked. I nodded. "yeah, are you?" I asked. "Been better" He said. I nodded. "Yeah.." i said looking away from him.

We stayed quiet for a while. "Are you scared?" I asked Daryl, I looked at him. He looked at me. "...I don't know what I'm Feelin'. " He said. "You know we're going to lose people once all of this starts" I said. He nodded and looked away. "You Might lose me.. I might lose you.." I said hesitantly. He looked over instantly right after i said he might lose me. "Don't say that to me." He said. I read his eyes. He was slightly angry that i said that but his eyes showed sadness.

Since the beginning. Ever since this all started, Yes. We've been separated throughout this but we found each other. We haven't lose each other permanently yet... I hope we don't any time soon... "I don't like thinking about it but It's true Daryl..." i said sadly. My eyes turned glossy. "Don't say that alright. Just don't... Not to me." He said shaking his head a bit. He looked away. Looking at the people form the different groups. "I'd die before i let anythin' happen to ya." He said.

I looked at him. I know he would. I'd do the same but he wouldn't allow it. He turned to look at me and reached out for my hands, He looked at the skin on my wrist. It was pink and raw. "what happened" He said sitting closer to me and turning my hands around. "um- Michael" I said looking at him. he looked at me then back down. "I cut the rope off her" We looked over to see Maggie. "You okay?" Daryl asked her. She nodded. "Yeah. You?" She asked. He nodded. "Yeah" He said. She nodded at him. She looked at me. "You wanna go get that cleaned up?" she asked.

I nodded. "Yeah" I said softly. Daryl and I stood up. "I'll be helping around" He said. I nodded. He hugged me. Maggie and i started making our way to her house here. "How are you two doing?" I asked. She smiled a bit, Making me smile. I loved seeing Maggie smile. "We're okay" She said. We reached her house and walked in. She grabbed the things she needed and came back. We sat down on the couch and she started cleaning my wrists.

After she was done. She went to put the things away. I pulled out the pocket watch. She came back and sat down next to me. I handed her the watch. She looked at it. "I think you should have it" I said. She looked at me and nodded a bit. "I hate the fact that our baby won't have a chance to meet Glenn.." She said looking at me. "When he or she is old enough. Give them the pocket watch. Tell stories about who he was. How much you loved him. How goofy he was" I said giggling a bit.

"I remember back in the farm. I took his hat and crushed an egg on his head so he could leave me alone, I was mad at him" she said sadly but laughing a bit, Her eyes turned glossy.

I giggled a bit as my eyes were glossy too. "Glenn will be watching over you and your kid. I'm positive about it." I said smiling at her. "He's watching over you too.He loved you a lot" She said shaking head smiling. There was a knock on the door. "I'll get it" i said standing up. I went to the door to see Jesus. "Ashley, Hey" He said. "Hey" i said smiling a bit. "Is Maggie here?" He asked. "Yeah, Come in" I said moving aside. he walked in and we went to Maggie. "Um... Sasha is still out there- i'm going out looking for her, The people dug a grave for her" He said. I looked at Maggie. "I'll go with you.. I'll put her down" She said.

"Are you sure?" i asked. She nodded. "Yes" She said. I nodded.

Maggie and Jesus headed out looking for Sasha. The streets were clean. We buried Sasha.. We all met up to talk about what's going to happen next and what we're going to do. Ezekiel, Rick and maggie stood on the platform. Talking to all of us. I looked around. We had numbers now.. But what i'm sure of is that we didn't take out all of Negan's men. We have weapons now. Everyone here knows how to handle them.

I looked at Maggie. She looked at me and then the pocket watch. I smiled softly for a second and looked down a bit then back up. Carl held my hand as the leaders of each community gave their speeches for the upcoming war.
