~Ashley's Pov~

Enid and I were outside talking. Maggie was Inside talking to Jesus and Daryl. We were outback. It was our little spot, It was quiet. We were talking about our parents. I told her about my father when i got here and i told her about my mother, About the cigarette. "How about your parents? If you don't mind me asking" I asked. "We were attacked by walkers.. They died" she said. "Oh.. I'm sorry" I said. "It's okay, I found Alexandria not so long after" She said. "I'm glad you did" I said, "Me too" She said. "Ashley" we heard a voice. We looked over. "Carl" I said smiling. 

"Ill leave you two alone" She said and left. Carl walked up to me. He smiled. "Hey" he said hugging me. I giggled and hugged him back. "Hey" I said. We kissed and hugged again. "What are you doing here? Did you come alone?" I asked as we let go. He shook his head. "No, The rest are here. Tara said that she found a place called Oceanside." he said. "We're going?" I asked. He nodded. "They have weapons that we could use. We can take down Negan" He said. 

"Are you sure though? If they have weapons it won't end good" I said. "I know, But Tara said she can go in. They know her already, My dad said she can try to make a deal with them, We have the bombs we found by Negan's place" He said. I sighed a bit and shook my head a little. "Okay.. When are we leaving" I asked. "In a bit" he said. I nodded, He nodded and held my hand. "I missed you" He said. I smiled and rested my head on his shoulder. "I missed you too" I said softly as we walked back to where the rest of the group was.

We all were at Oceanside, Outside of the walls. Daryl, Jesus and the rest set bombs around the place. The bombs went off and people from Oceanside came out. They were all women and children.. "Everybody down!" We pointed our guns up. We weren't going to hurt them. We don't want to. I don't like doing this but we need the weapons... "Hands on your head!" Everyone got down and placed their hands on their heads. "Stay calm. We don't want anyone to get hurt, Stay down and listen to what we say." Carl said. 

"we want this to go as easy and simply as possible. All of you can make it that way" Father Gabriel said. Daryl, Jesus and Rick came along with two other women, Their hands tied up. "we made a lot of noise. We wanna wrap this up quickly. So you can send people to redirect anything coming this way. Tara said your forest is somewhat clear so we won't take any chances. No one needs to get hurt." Rick said looking at everyone. 

Our guns were down but we were still on guard. "This is about what you have. What we need." Rick said. "nobody's taking anything." We looked over to see Tara. A woman with a gun to her head and a girl... I looked at her. She looked at me. I furrowed my eyebrows for a second and swallowed the lump in my throat that formed. "You need to let everyone go. and leave right now. Just walk away or this one dies." The woman said I looked at Daryl. He was looking at the girl too. We knew her... 

Daryl looked at me. I looked back at her. Cindie. "We'll leave you alone. We're taking your weapons whether you like it or not. it Natania right? Put the gun down." Rick said. I looked at her. It was her. I'm positive it's her... She looked at me. She nodded a little, her eyes glossy. I shook my head a little, My heart was racing. I thought she was dead. We think everyone we knew before the Apocalypse is dead. This is wrong they're still out there. People who we least expect to be alive, Are. Carl noticed me and her. He would look at me slightly, but i kept my eyes on her. She and I were friends from before all of this happened, She's a year older than me. I looked at Daryl and nodded a bit. He nodded slightly too. 

"Put the gun down. Lets us talk about we can change." Rick said. "No. Leave. Now." She said. "Michonne, Dont!" Tara said. "We just want to be left alone." She said. "We'll leave you alone. Just let her go, Now. Or we'll kill you. none of us want that." Rick said. "They want us to fight the Saviours." Cyndie said looking at her people. "We tried that. We lost too much. We're not gonna lose anymore." She said still holding the gun to Tara's head. "Not our guns. Not our safety. Not after everything we've done to get here." She said. 

"We're gonna win. With your guns. With or without your help." Tara said looking at the people. "Natania. Put the gun down." Rick said. "You kill me and you die. My people take the guns and nothing changes." Tara said. "Maybe we should try." One of the Women said. "Are you with us." I asked looking at Cyndie and only Cyndie. Maybe she'll listen to me. To us. "I'm with you." she said looking at me and nodding. I nodded a little. She did the same thing. "Grandmother stop. It's over. Just talk to them okay?" Cyndie said looking at the woman.

"It's not over! They've forgotten. You've all forgotten. Some of you actually want to fight them? After everything? We could lose our guns. But us leaving this place to fight? After everything i still have to remind you. Yes. I am going to do this and i am gonna die. But it's that important. This is your life. All of you. Remember what it looks like! Remember what they did to us! You need to see this. Open your eyes!" She said. "Rick! Walkers!" Michonne screamed. 

Cyndie hit the back of her head and she fell. Cyndie moved out of the way and I saw Enid behind Cyndie, A gun pointed to the back of her head. She looked at me in shock. She was going to kill her... "Everyone up! Get the children behind us." Rick said. "Join them on the line. Dead only." one of the people said. We lined up and held our guns up ready to fire. There were a lot of walkers heading our way. Carl and Rick stood next to me, I was in the middle. "Everyone shoots ten feet from the line. Thats it." Rick said getting his gun ready. 

"Now!" Rick said. We all started shooting. Taking down the walkers coming our way.

All of the walkers were down. "Ashley" I looked over and saw Cyndie. She and I hugged. I smiled and closed my eyes. She did the same. Daryl walked over to me and put a hand on Cyndie's shoulder. She and her family helped me a lot. When i didn't want to be home she'd let me stay over at her place.. Daryl was grateful for her because even one night or a full day i was with her at her house. Made me happy. Kept me safe from Michael. I laughed a little with tears in my eyes, She laughed a little too. "I'm glad you're okay" she said. "Me too. I thought i was never going to see you again" I said and we let go. She smiled, I smiled at her. 

"daryl" She said. Daryl nodded. "Glad you're alright kid" He said. She nodded. "No! We're not fighting them. Take your damn guns and go." Natalie said walking away. We all looked at her.

We all took the guns and started loading them on the van. Carl and I loaded a box/crate of ammo. "To answer your question.." I said putting the gun in the van. I looked at him. "Her name is Cyndie. She and her family helped me a lot. They gave me a place to stay when i didn't want to be home.." I said looking at Carl. He nodded. "I'm Glad she did that" He said. "I am too." Daryl said popping up behind me making me jump a little, Covering my mouth a bit "Don't do that." I said looking at Daryl and pushing him a bit he laughed a little.

I smiled a bit and looked at Carl. "And you suck for not telling me" I said pointing at him. Making him smile a bit. "Wow, Love you too" Carl said. "I love you too.." I mumbled causing him to laugh/Scoff a bit. I narrowed my eyes at him a bit a kissed his cheek. I went over to Cyndie. "He your boyfriend" she asked. "Yeah" i said. She smiled a little,  "Thank you for what you're doing" She said. I nodded a bit. "I'll see you again.." i said. "I know you will" She said. I nodded. "we gotta go" I looked over to see Rick. I nodded. He nodded. We hugged and our group took off. 

~Back at Alexandria~

Rosita was back but Sasha wasn't.. She said there was someone here. Carl and i headed back to the house. Carl and i walked to his room. "I'll be back, Hold on" He said. "Hey, Can i borrow a shirt" I asked. He nodded. "Yeah, You want anything to drink?" He asked. "Just water, Thanks" I said. he nodded and went downstairs. I went through his closet and pulled out a pulled out a white t-shirt. 

I pulled off my shirt and i heard the door open. My back was facing the door. I closed my eyes looking down... Carl and I were the only ones home at the moment. He was looking at my scars. I felt his eyes on me.. I hear him place the cups down on. My heart was racing....

He walked up to me and moved my hair a bit. He was looking at my scars. His fingers ran over my scars making my breathing turn shaky and tensing up under his touch.. He's the first one to see my whole back with my scars. The lights were on too, He could see my scars perfectly. I'm not afraid of him looking at me without a shirt. My body is perfect, The way it is. I'm worried about my scars.

Carl walked in front of me after he looked at my scars... He took the shirt from my hands and helped me with the shirt. He stood in front of me and looked at me, I didn't look at him. My eyes were glossy, Filled with tears. I turned away from Carl wiping a tear away. "Don't hide from me" He said using the same words i said to him. He stood in front of me again. I looked at him. He looked at me sadly. I mean he just saw my scars.. he saw what my father did to me. 

"I love you." He said. I just looked at him. "okay?" he asked/said. He pulled me in for a hug. "Scars or no scars.. that's not gonna change you.." He said softly. Placing a kiss on my cheek and holding me.
