Hey guys! I don't know who actually saw my last post, I was going to make this longer but i realized it was going to be wayyyy to long, So i made it into two separate chapters, I'll post the second half tomorrow :) Love you all :)

~Ashley's Pov~

We were stopped again. Carl looked over to me. I wasn't looking at him but i felt him looking at me. There were more people from Negan's group i suppose. But more men than we first encountered. They were blocking the road. They weren't the same people though. I finally looked over to Carl. He was looking at me. We stood up and made our way to the front.

"We making our stand?" Sasha asked. Carl held my hand again. "Yeah. We end it." Carl said looking at the men blocking the road. "No. not now... They've been waiting. They're ready. With one of us behind the wheel that's about five or six on sixteen." Rick said. "We're playing it our way. How we want it. Right?" Rick asked looking back at Carl. Carl made a circle with his thumb on my hand. He wanted to end this.

"Right..." Carl finally said to his dad. Rick nodded at Carl and looked at me. I nodded at Rick a little. He nodded at me. He looked back at Abraham. "Alright.. Slow" He said. Abraham started driving in reverse. A man walked forward and started shooting in the air a few times. As soon as we started heading back it hit me. What if were not able to take Maggie to the Hilltop? I bit my lower lip a little and let go of Carl's hand. He looked at me as i walked over to Maggie...

I sat down with her. "Everything okay?" She asked weakly. I nodded a little. "Yeah" I whispered. "We're getting you there. You're gonna be okay" I said softly and held her hand. She nodded and closed her eyes. I pulled the blanket over her. Aaron walked over. I looked at him. I let him be with her. He looked at me in the eyes. I nodded telling him i was 'okay'.

He nodded and i headed back to a seat. I looked at my bracelet and stated turning the small gems on it. Carl came over and wrapped his arm around me, I rested my head on his shoulder but continued playing around with my bracelet."You okay..?" He asked. I nodded a little. He knew the answer. He was just making sure, "Yeah... Just wanna get Maggie to the hilltop... I wanna find Daryl and the rest..." I said.

Abraham stopped the RV. We went over to see walkers tied together. Blocking the road.. "We can't go through it... Can't risk the RV" Rick said. We all stepped out of the RV and approached the walkers. I looked at the walkers. "Dad" Carl said. "That's Michonne's" Aaron said. i looked over to the other walkers. One had two of Daryl's arrows. "That's Daryl's." Sasha said.

What if Negan's group has Daryl? I backed up a little hitting Carl's arm. "Ashley" He said. I shook my head a little. 'No'. I wasn't looking at Carl. I was looking at the arrows on the walker. Rick walked up to it and pulled an arrow out. He walked over to the other walker and took the strand of the hair on the walker off.

Suddenly gunshots started going off. Aiming to our feet. "Get back to the RV! Now!" Rick shouted. We all ran back to the RV and took off again. I sat down and felt my eyes get watery. They have him. I was right. Negan's group has him and probably everyone else. Carl said down next to me. He held my hand. Rick walked over to me and handed me Daryl's arrow. "We'll find them." He said with tears also in his eyes.

"Rick." Abraham said as we stopped again. We all looked over. Carl and I stood up and looked. There was way more people. More guns. More cars. My heart skipped a beat. This man has numbers. "Go back." Rick said.

The road was blocked with logs. We all stepped out. There were tracks on the floor. "These tracks, they would indicate that they not only have people but some big ass toys and capability." Eugene said looking at the tracks on the dirt floor. "What this indicates is that we're neck deep up shit creek with our mouths wide open." Abraham said. I looked over to him.

Suddenly there was a scream. We all turned around to see that same man from the beginning being hung with a chain from the bridge above us, He had an orange x on his shirt. My heart skipped a bit and i gasped a little from the sight. I looked at the man in shock. Tears welled up in my eyes. This is truly something that you wouldn't want to see in person. Carl quickly turned around bringing me with him so i wouldn't look at the man either. "Don't." I hear Abraham say over the man choking.

These people are cruel. Carl didn't want to see this either. "I can try to break the chain." I hear Aaron say. I looked over a little to see him pointing his sniper rifle at the chain. I faced Carl again. Slightly burying my face on his shoulder. "It won't work." Abraham said. "I can try." Aaron said wanting to save the life of this man.

"It won't work. We need the bullets." Rick said. All we heard was this man coughing. Choking. Trying to breathe and the chains moving against each other. Suddenly the noises quieted down. The man was dead...

Suddenly there was heat. Carl pulled me back and let me go. We were facing the logs blocking the road. They were on fire. "You're treating your people good right? Like it's your last day on earth? Or maybe one of theirs?" The man on the other side of the logs called out. "You might wanna get going. It's gonna get hot" The man said. I looked back at the man that was just dangling from the bridge.

I looked over to see Aaron looking at the man too. He looked over to me with a frown. "Go on. Get to where you're going" The man said once again. "Go. Go" Rick said. Carl grabbed my hand and we all went back into the RV. Abraham started driving again. Aaron went back to Maggie. I hesitated for a bit. I gave Carl a quick kiss on his cheek and got up.

I walked to the back of the RV. Maggie was resting. I sat down next to Aaron. "You tried..." I said looking at him. He got up and sat down next to me. "I tried but i didn't save him. I couldn't" He said. "I know.... But don't be so hard on your self... I can see it. You are aren't you?" I asked him. I knew he was. I could see it.

He sighed a bit. "Yeah.." he said. "Don't..." I said to him. He nodded the slightest bit and looked at me. "Thanks" He said softly. I nodded. I looked back at Maggie to see her head tossing a bit. "I'll let you be with her.." I said. I handed him one of my water bottles. He took it. I stood up from the couch and placed a kiss on Maggie's cheek. "We're getting you there." I whispered to her softly. She nodded. Maggie knew i was worried.

I looked at Aaron and nodded. I let them be alone...

~later that night~

Eugene decided that he'll be driving the RV. The rest of us are taking Maggie to the Hilltop on foot. I went over to Eugene. "Thank You" I said. He nodded. "I will try my best" he said. I nodded. "Good Luck" I said and hugged him. He hugged back. Rick and the rest walked out with Maggie.

We were finally on our way. Taking Maggie to the Hilltop. Carl took down a walker earlier. He was next to his dad. I was behind him, next to Maggie. "I heard what you told her when we were leaving. We can do it." Carl said confident. "We can do anything. cause we'll do anything we can do. We have. And we will. What happened to Denise, I'm not gonna let anyone else die like that again" Carl said.

"Son" Rick said. "What?" He asked. Suddenly we heard whistling. We stopped dead in our tracks. I looked around and saw men emerging from the forest. More and more men started coming out with guns and whistling. Go. Go!" Rick called out. We all started running. Our hearts beating rapidly as we ran.

We came to an opening. lights turned on facing us. We shielded our eyes from the bright light. everyone surrounding us started whistling. I looked over to see every single one of these men holding bats and guns. Big guns. My heart was racing. Tears welled up in my eyes. I was horrified at this point. I looked around to see these men surrounding us.

I backed away. We all were breathing heavily. Scared. I looked over to see Eugene kneeling. Beaten up. "Great. You made it. Welcome to where you're going." We looked over to see the man from the beginning walking towards us with a smirk on his face. He walked up to Carl and I. He pointed the gun at us. "We'll take your weapons." He said. "We can talk about-" The man cut Rick off. "Were done talking. Time to listen.

Men walked up to us and took out weapons away. The same man walked up to Carl and looked at his gun and back at him. "This is yours? Yeah it's yours" He said looking at Carl. Carl stared him down. Mad and scared. He swallowed thickly as he flicked his hat.

"Okay. Let's get her down and get y'all on your knees. Lots to cover" He said. They all lowered Maggie and helped her get on her knees. Another man brought Eugene over to us. He knelled him down next to me. I really just wanted to cry. I was so scared right now. We all are. We might die here. The man walked up to Rick. "We're gonna need you on your knees." The man said.

Rick looked at Carl then me. We all got on our knees. "Dwight!" He called out. "Yeah" He said walking out. Dwight's eyes met mine. He smirked a little. "Chop- Chop" The man said. He walked over to a van and opened the doors. "Cmon. You got people to meet" He said. He pulled out Daryl. That's when i lost it. My mouth slightly fell and tears ran down my face. He was bleeding and he had a sheet over him.

He looked at me with pain in his eyes. He was pale. Weak. Then they pulled out Michonne, Rosita and Glenn. Glenn fell to the floor. His eyes met Maggie's weak ones. "Maggie?" He asked. I looked over at Daryl. He looked at me. We were both scared. I was crying. I bet he was too....

"Alright. We got a full boat. Let's meet the man" He said and walked over to the RV. He knocked on the door and walked back to Carl. He threw the gun on the floor in front of him. The door opened. A man emerged from the dark.

It was a fairly tall man with a leather jacket on. He had a bat with barbed wire around it over his shoulder. This was Negan.
