~Ashley's Pov~ Next Morning.

 It was early next morning. Rick and the rest of the people from Alexandra went out and got rid of the other walkers last night for good now. No more walkers. Just bodies. Rick and the others are gonna rebuild the walls. Clean up the bodies and the blood.We took Alexandria back. Its ours again. Michonne came out. Rick was still with Carl. I left them alone. Rick wanted to be with Carl. Everybody was all bloody. I saw Maggie and Glenn hugging. 

Michonne looked up at me and cocked her head over to me. Behind me. My heart skipped a beat. I turned around slowly to see Daryl. Tears welled up in my eyes. "Daryl" I whispered looking at him. My heart started racing.

 I dropped my knife not caring anymore. I ran to Daryl. He caught me and i buried my face on his shoulder as i cried. "Daryl" I said as tears fell. The others were sorta far away so they couldn't hear us. My heart racing. Daryl bent down so we were on the floor. He was on his knees bending over hugging me. I was sorta sitting on the floor. Daryl also had his face buried on my shoulder. His breathing was out if control. A few of his tears soaked my shoulder. He was crying too I was crying. Our hearts racing.

Were the only family we have left. We only have each other left. If one of us lose each other. We'll be broken. "I love you" I said softly. "Love you too." He said. My stomach hurt but I didn't care.

I didn't care about the pain anymore. I was just glad that Daryl was back. My brother was back. "You scared me so bad" I said trying to get my breathing back to normal. "I'm sorry" he said.  He stood up bringing me up with him. "Don't let go or I'ma drop you" he said laughing a bit through his tears. "I don't wanna let go" I said laughing a little. Through my tears. 

"Me either." He said

"Rick told me what happened... You alright..?" He asked. "Thanks to Maggie.... Yes" I said. I said looking at him. We were sitting on the couch. I rested my head on his shoulder. "I was so close to-- Dying...." I said. "I shouldn't have left..." he said. "You had to. Even though i didn't want you to go" I said. "I didn't want to leave ya alone" He said. "It's okay." I said. 

~Small Time lapse~

"Cmon time to get up" Daryl said opening the blinds. "Ugh" I said and threw the blanket over me. "Go away" I said tired. "What?" he asked. I smiled a little and hugged the blanket. "What was that?" He asked pulling the blanket off me. "Hey!" I said throwing the pillow at him. He caught it and laughed. "Why" I said falling back. "Cmon it's gonna be seven" He said. "Seven? Really" I said covering my face. "Cmon dont be lazy" He said throwing the pillow back at me.

I caught it. I sighed and got up. I brushed my teeth and hair. I walked downstairs and sat on the edge of the counter. I looked at Daryl. He was grabbing his gun and knife. "Are you going out again..." I said. He looked up at me. He heard my tone. Yes i was worried. I didn't see him for days last time he went out. "I'll come back." He said walking up to me. I sighed a little and looked down at my black boots. 

"Hey" He said. I looked up. "Promise" He said. I nodded a little.  "Cmon i gotta go talk to Rick" He said. "Wait" I said. "What" He asked turning around. "Piggy back ride" I said pulling my hands out" I said. He looked at me. "You're the one who made me get out of bed if i remember correctly" I said joking around. 

"Fine" He said walking over. "Hurry oh look i'm falling Daryl better hurry" I said laughing a little. "Stop okay okay im goin'" He said laughing a little too. He turned around and i hopped on. "You need to put more meat on your bones" He said walking out of the door. "Why im okay the way i am" I said. "You're just so light" He said. "No you're just too strong" I said as i rested my head on my shoulder. 

"It's okay, I can treat you like a baby" He said. "What? okay i'm getting off now" I said hopping off. "I was just kiddin' come back ill carry you to their house" He said. I shook my head trying to keep a straight face but i couldn't. I walked away from him. He picked me up. "No, Daryl" I said laughing. He laughed.

~Carl's Pov~

Dad and Daryl were going on another run today. We were outside waiting for Daryl. We heard laughing. Ashley's laugh. And Daryl's, Something you never really hear. She's the only one to make him Smile or Laugh. I smiled at the sound of her laughter. Daryl walked up to us with Ashley in his arms. She hopped off and ran behind me. "You ready?" Dad asked. "Yeah" Daryl responded. "Bye dad" I said. "Take care of Judith" He sad. I nodded. "Bye Daryl" Ashley said. She giggled a little as Daryl looked at her. "Bye Ashley" He said and they walked away.

"What was that about" I asked turning around. She smiled. "He was treating me like a baby" She said. "Well you are his baby sister" I said messing around with her. "Oh cmon not you too" She said as we walked back to the house. I smiled. "Okay I'll stop" I said. "....maybe" I said after a while. She turned around. "What?" She asked. "What?" I asked again. She narrowed her eyes at me. I looked at her with a small smirk. As she turned her head i saw a small smile appear on her face too.

We walked into Judith's room. She saw Ashley and raised her arms. She smiled. "Hey sweetie" She whispered softly and picked her up. Judith smiled. Ashley smiled. I smiled at the sight of both of them. 

~Daryl's Pov~

It was dark out. We lost a truck full off food and we met a guy. He calls himself Jesus. Rick and i went to his house. We walked in and saw Carl and Ashley sleeping. We woke them up. "Ugh again let me sleep" She said. Rick smiled a little and i laughed a little. "cmon" I said picking her up. "This one i'm letting this slide.I'm tired..." She said sleepily as she rested her head on my chest. Rick took Carl and Judith to sleep and i walked out.

I placed Ashley down on her bed and pulled the blanket over her. "Goodnight Ash" I said and i also went to bed.
