~Ashley's Pov~

We were out scavenging. Looking for things we can find and and use. I was with Maggie, Glenn and another girl, I think her name is Tara. But they were ahead of us. I was talking to Maggie. "Can i tell you something, I think you should know..." I said looking at her "I'm listening" She said I looked down and played with my bracelet "So.... I see you as a mother figure. As my mother figure... You show me love, That you care about me and that's something that i never got as a child." I started 

"And both of you, You and Glenn... Both of you show me that. Something that i never got and though i would experience. And Glenn, He's like father figure to me too, He also shows me that too, You guys protect me, and neither you or Glenn wouldn't hurt me. I just wanted you to know that i'm very grateful that  met you guys" I said looking up at her.

She was looking down at me, "I see you as my daughter Ashley" She started, I looked slightly down  "You know that first night at the farm. When i was with you... When i held you, I felt a connection, And now since we got closer i still have that connection but it got stronger." She said "So Ashley just to let you know. I would love to take you as my Daughter, I'm sure Glenn would too. We can give you what you never had back then" She said. I looked up at her "Really?" I asked her. She nodded and smiled "This means so much to me Maggie. Thank You" I said smiling.

"We'll look to see if anything is left in there, I'll go" Glenn said, We nodded. I looked at the sign. It was a gun shop. "Be careful" Maggie said, Glenn nodded and he walked inside. Maggie looked down at me "Did your dad hurt you often?" Maggie asked, I looked slightly down "Almost every day, He use to hurt me, Daryl. He hurt us the most. Merle didn't get it as bad... I got it the worst out of both of them" I said looking back up at her.

"I'm sorry... If you ever want to talk about it to anyone, I'm here okay. Glenn is too." she said, The only person i opened up to is Carl. There was a noise in the shop. Glenn came out. "Was it a walker?"  Tara asked. "Uh Y-yeah it was a walker" Glenn said. "Really?" Maggie asked. Glenn looked over to me and looked at his gun "Sack of boxes and a mop... I tripped" Glenn said, We all laughed a little "Still, Found there" Glenn said pulling out three silencers. "You actually found something?" Tara asked "Three silencers stashed in a mini fridge." Glenn said 

"Rule number one of scavenging; There's nothing left in this world that is hidden" Glenn said as we walked away from the shop. Glenn and Maggie walked in front of us. I looked at Tara and she was looking at the silencers "Well now i know, I will look in fridges" She said laughing a little, I smiled. "Hey, is it true what you said back there?" Tara asked as we started walking again "Yeah... Wish it wasn't..." I said looking at her. "You know i'm here to listen too if you want we can talk about it" She said.

I decided to tell her "My dad, he would come home drunk. He would either take his anger out on us or lock himself in his room.... I have my mother's eyes... And my mom, She died in a fire..." I started "She was smoking in bed and she forgot to put it out... She died in bed. My dad thinking it was all my fault somehow. He would take that anger out on me... Beating me in ways that hurt so bad" I said looking down. "Sometimes i would sneak out at night just to be alone for once. Most of the time i would be thinking.... Over Thinking, If it wasn't for Daryl i probably  wouldn't be here" I said telling her about my past "Do you miss your mom?" She asked, I shook my head a little.

"My mom was that person that just..." I thought for a second "She always said that i was a disappointment. That i was a horrible child" I finally said "I don't miss my parents..." I said to her.

~Back at the church~

So the small group that Rick took to the food bank was back. They got a lot of food, We were all celebrating, I was sitting with Carl, I wasn't that hungry anymore. I laid my head on his shoulder. He held my hand, I smiled. "You okay?" He asked "Yeah, I'm just a little tired" I said, He kissed my head "Ashley" I looked over to see Maggie. "I'll be right back" I said taking Carl's jacket off my lap and giving it to him, He nodded.

I walked with Maggie towards the end of the church. I saw Glenn "We talked" Glenn said "You don't have to say anything, I just wanted to let you guys know how i feel" I said looking at him. The group was laughing drinking. They couldn't hear us. "No were saying yes" Glenn said I felt my heart skip a little "What?" I asked in shock. Maggie smiled "Look, we heard you and Tara talking Back at the gun shop" Glenn said. "We can be your guardians If you want. If that's how you look at us" Maggie said 

"Really?" I asked still in shock not believing what i just heard them say. Glenn laughed a little "Yeah, Just know that we are like your parents okay, Because i liked you from the start. We both did" Glenn said "Wow um" I didn't know how to react. Maggie laughed a little "It's okay you don't have to say anything" She said "I just didn't think you guys would react like this" I said smiling a little. Glenn smiled "Hey Maggie I think we have daughter " Glenn said

I smiled and shook my head a bit "Okay Well One; Thank you. Two; I'm sorry I didn't tell you about my Parents and my earlier" I said "It's okay, I know that it can be hard bringing up those memories" Maggie said. "Ashley" I looked back to see Daryl. I looked at Maggie and Glenn. They nodded. I headed over to Daryl.
