Chapter 31!

~Carl's Pov~

"Carl" I heard my dad call me. I looked over to see Ashley wasn't there "She's alright" I looked at my dad and nodded "Cmon" I stretched and got out of bed. I saw Ashley holding Judith. Ashley had a slight smile on her face as Judith held her finger. I smiled to myself, Beth came over to Ashley and hugged her "Are you okay, I heard what happened" Beth whispered. People were still sleeping, She nodded slowly.

"I'm fine I just don't want to talk about it" She whispered as she looked down to Judith again. She gave Judith to Beth and I walked up to her. She doesn't know that I'm awake, I walked up to her and hugged her from behind, She jumped a little then relaxed to my touch when she realized it was me. She looked down "Sorry I didn't mean to scare you" She nodded "It's okay just a little jumpy" she said, I nodded and turned her around so she's facing me.

"Love you" I said to her as I held her close to me. "I love you too" she whispered to me. She rested her head on my shoulder, I kissed her cheek "Ashley, Lizzie and Mika were looking for you yesterday, I told them you were restin'..." My dad said, She nodded "Thank You" My dad nodded "Carl" my dad called out, I nodded I looked at her as my dad walked out "I'll be alright Go" she said to me and smiled a little "okay call me out if you need anything" she nodded. I pecked her lips.

~Ashley's Pov~

Carl pecked my lips and walked out. I saw Mica and Lizzie sitting on the steps "Hey" I gave them a soft smile, They looked up and their faces lit up. And walked up to me "Are you okay?" Lizzie asked "Yeah I'm okay" I didn't want to worry them "Rick said you guys were looking for me?" They nodded as we started walking to their cell "Yeah-" She got cut off by a growl. A walker appeared from the cell his stomach ripped open. "Lizzie!" She turned around and screamed.

"Take your sister outside and Call for Rick Go now!" I yelled at them I shot the walker and ran outside to see Rick running over to me "Walkers cell block D!" I yelled at them. Everyone from cell block c came running out with weapons. Mica and Lizzie came running to me. "It's gonna be okay" I hugged them soon the gunshots stopped "Listen stay here I'll be right back" I sat them down on the bleachers, I checked my ammo "I'll be right back alright" They nodded and I walked in the Cell block and saw the walkers on the floor.

Walked over to see the cells. I saw Carol and Lizzie's dad with a bite mark on his arm. He gave me a week smile. "Take care of my girls, Like they're your own...Can you do that for me, I'm all they've got" He said struggling to talk. "Yeah I will. But you have to say goodbye to them first" Carol said to him. He nodded and looked over to me "Thank you too for watching over my girls" I nodded and walked out to Mica and Lizzie. I had tears in my eyes. To lose someone you love is very hard. I've Been there... I looked down and walked over to them. They were on the floor

"Girls listen..." I looked down this is going to be hard for them and I know, I looked at both of them "You have to come with me okay" they nodded and I wrapped my arms on both of them and I walked in the cell block.

They saw their dad on the bed with a bite mark on his arm they let go of me "We have to get doctor S" Mica said as her voice broke. "Honey, he's been bit. We can't do anything" Carol said. Lizzie and Mica held his hand "Take care of your sister" he said. He took a sharp breath and he was gone "Dad?" Lizzie and Mica called out. Nothing. "No" Lizzie said "We have to do what we always have to do you can wait outside if you want." She said giving me the girls Mica hugged me, Carol took out her knife, "We should be the ones" Lizzie said as she held back Carol's arm

"Are you sure?" She asked Lizzie nodded "Just like you taught us" she said walking up to her dad with a knife in her hand. Lizzie started breathing heavily and dropped the knife, Carol picked up the knife "Lizzie look at the flowers count with me" Mica started counting I kept her from looking, Carol held the knife to his temple "Daddy no!" Lizzie yelled "look at the flowers Lizzie" She said to her. Carol stabbed him in the head. Lizzie and Mica broke down in tears.

I hugged them both and Carol hugged us.

~Carl's Pov~

I didn't see Ashley walk out of the cell block. I saw my dad and everyone else except for her. I was worried.

I was looking around and I finally saw her walk out with Lizzie and Mica. I ran over to them. She told them something and they left. I hugged her tight "I didn't see you come out I thought I lost you" I said as I hugged her tight. "Carl I'm alright don't worry about me" She whispered, I held her close "I love you Carl" She said to me "I love you too" I calmed down and let go of her. I looked her in the eyes. And she gave me a small smile, her eyes filled with tears.

"I need go get back to the girls" She whispered while looking down I put my hand under her chin and looked her in the eyes I was pulling her in for a kiss but she stopped me "Carl no I'm sorry... I was exposed, if I'm Infected and I get you sick... I will never forgive myself" she said to me her voice soft and pleading "I'm sorry Carl" She hugged me tight and I hugged back. I made her look at me. I kissed two fingers and brought them up to her lips. She gave me a small sad smile.

A single tear ran down her face. I cleaned it up with my thumb "Don't cry babe, You're going to be okay... I know it" she smiled at me and held my hand. She started walking away and I didn't let go. I let go until she let go. She walked over to Mica and Lizzie. Mica ran to her and hugged her Ashley hugged back and they walker over to Lizzie.

I felt sad that she was like this. I hate seeing her like this we just need to wait and see what my dad and the council are going to decide on...
