Time Laps ~ A couple of months Later~

~Ashley's Pov~

I was up late helping Rick and Carol clean up a bit outside. I would say it was about 11pm almost midnight. It was really late. "Sweetie you can go to bed, It's really late" I looked up from the Table I was cleaning to see Carol next to me. "Okay goodnight" I said to Carol and hugged her.

I went over to Rick "Rick I'm heading in now" He looked up at me "I am too I'll walk you" I nodded, He said goodnight to Carol and we walked into the cell block and we saw the lights on in Carl's cell. I looked at Rick and smiled a little "I'll go check on him you can head to bed" I nodded "Night Rick" he nodded "Night"

I walked over to see Daryl sleeping, I went to the shower rooms and changed, I took off my holster with my gun and knife, I'm always carrying a knife now even if were away from Walkers at the time, I was scared of Damian. I took off my shoes and put on a crop top and my sweatpants, these are basically my pj's. I walked back to my cell where Daryl was sleeping, I placed my clothes and my gun on the table but my gun made a noise when I placed it down.

I shut my eyes tight hoping I didn't wake up Daryl "Ash?" I heard Daryl ask I opened my eyes and turned around "Sorry" I said to him. He gave a small smile and patted the spot next to him "Cmon it's late" I laid down next to him and he pulled the blanket over me. He hugged me, "I talked to Rick today. He said if he tries anything we'll kick him out" I nodded "I'm just scared. The things that he did with me. How he helped Jayson..." I stopped talking, "I won't let anything happen to ya" "Thank You" I whispered and we fell asleep.

I woke up to someone shaking me a little, I opened my eyes to see Daryl up "Get up Princess we have chores to do" Daryl said grabbing his crossbow and heading out the cell, I closed the curtain and just changed my sweats, It was a little hot out.

I grabbed knife just in case and put it in my pocket, I walked over to Carl's cell. He was still sleeping. I smiled to myself. These past months Carl's appearance changed, His hair got longer, He got stronger and Taller. He's still very sweet and gentle that didn't change, I walked over to the restrooms and brushed my teeth and my hair, Good thing we still find these on Runs.

My appearance changed too. I got Taller, Braver and stronger. Skinnier, my hair got longer and my hair got strands of hazel. I went over to Rick who was at the "Kitchen" of the cell block "Good morning Rick" I said grabbing a granola bar. "I though you would still be sleeping" He said with a smile "I would but Daryl woke me up" I said with a small laugh.

"Carl still sleeping?" He asked and I nodded "Yeah he is" I told him and he chuckled "He was up reading comics with a flashlight" He told me and I giggled a little. "Daryl told me" I nodded "Yeah..." I said in a whispered "If he tries anything... You tell me and I'll take care of it" He told me, I nodded and he headed out.

The prison also changed, We have lots of water, food and supplies. We planted crops and we have a horse and a pig. Heard footsteps walking down the stairs "Hey Babe" I turned around and saw Carl "Hey sleepyhead, how were your comics" I said to him with a smile and slight laugh "That was a good comic" He said shrugging he walked up to me and hugged me I hugged back.

"Carl... I have to tell you something. But you have to promise not to tell anyone... Please, Only your dad and Daryl know" I looked in his eyes and he nodded "Alright shoot" I rested my head on his chest and he hugger back. "You know Damian right?" He nodded "Please. Just don't tell him I told you this. He was in Jayson's group, He's scaring me. The way he looks at me. Like he's going to k-" Carl cut me off "Don't say that. He won't do anything as long of I'm here okay" I nodded

"Let's go outside" He kissed my cheek. We walked out holding hands.

"Dad, you didn't wake me up" Carl said as we walked up to Rick, He looked at us and smiled "Cause I knew you were up all night reading comic books with a flashlight" I smiled and looked down. Carl and Rick were talking about 'Violet' Carl named the pig. I felt eyes on me again I looked back and saw Damian looking at me, I looked back at Rick and Carl, They were looking at me "Let me know" Rick said to me and I nodded. Carl held me close, I felt safe in his arms.

We heard a whistle "Let's go" Rick said I nodded at Rick and we headed over to the gates. I heard Gallops and I knew it was Michonne. She came in and hopped off the horse, She handed me the lead "Guess who his the Jackpot?" Michonne looked over to Carl she pulled out comic books from her bag.

Carl's face lit up. A smile on his face I smiled too "No way! Awesome! Thank you" He said in excitement. "I get to read them when you're done" She smiled Carl and I started walking back. Carl's eyes glued to the comics with a smile on his face "You're so cute" I said with a giggle. He looked up at me and smiled.

I placed the horse back in the small stable and sat down on the ground, I rested my head and my back on the wooden fence and stared back at Damian until he walked away. I let out a quiet sigh and looked at my shoes. "What's wrong Babe" Carl asked as he sat down next to me "Carl... I'm scared" I whispered not looking up.

He looked over to me "The things that his group did to me..." I ran my hands through my hair and let my hair fall freely. "The pain I went through. I don't want to go through that anymore I-i just can't not anymore" My voice cracked as the memories came to my mind. The cold blade pressing against my skin. I felt Tears well up in my eyes. 'Don't Cry' I told myself.

I bit my bottom lip holding back the tears. I covered my face with my hands.
Carl stood up. I felt hands remove my hands from my face and helped me up, I didn't look up because I felt like I was about to cry. Carl wrapped his arms around me and held me tight "Babe I'm sorry. He won't hurt you, I won't let him lay one finger on you." I hugged him back. "I'm Sorry" I whispered to him "What are you sorry for?" He asked back "I don't let my feelings show like this" I told him in a quiet tone.

"Its Okay" He kissed my head and I smiled a little. "Listen I'm sorry I need to talk to my dad he needs my help" I nodded "Its okay I'll be in my cell" He nodded and we let go. He rubbed my cheek with his thumb. We looked in each others eyes, He smiled "Gosh I love you" I smiled back "I love you too Carl" He pulled me in for a quick kiss and he walked off.

~Night time~

I finished off cleaning outside with Karen, one of the people in cell block D. "Goodnight Karen" I said with a smile "Goodnight" I started walking to the cell block when I was pinned to the wall with force. I saw Damian in front of me. "Hey look the Governor brought you a present princess" My heart rate picked up "Damian Please Don't Do this!" I yelled a little as I started to tear up. I knew what he meant by a present. He pulled out a knife.

I was scared out of my life right now. I didn't fight back the tears this time I let them fall.

~Carl's Pov~

My dad, Daryl and I were up talking about our next run. "Damian Please don't do this!" A voice screamed coming from the outside of the cell block, we ran outside with our guns. We turned the corner to see Damian had pinned Ashley to a wall he pulled out a knife from his pocket.

"Hey!" Daryl yelled at Damian he turned around and smirked at us, "No one has to get hurt just let her go" My dad said to him. He turned back to Ashley "What do you think princess?" He asked her laughing a little she stayed quiet as a tear ran down her face. "How about we give you the message?" He said laughing a little. He held the knife in front of her face.

"No!!" I scream a gunshot goes off, My dad shot him. Ashley and Damian fall to the ground. "You son of bitch!" Damian yelled as he held his bleeding shoulder. We ran up to them. Ashley backed away from us to a wall and hugged her knees.

"Next time I won't miss" My dad told him as he walked him back to the prison. Me and Daryl ran over to Ashley. "Hey hey it's alright he won't hurt ya no more" Daryl said the her. She didn't look up but she let out a quiet sob. Daryl picked her up and hugged her she hugged back.

I walked up to them and Daryl let me hug her, she was shaking a little "I'm sorry" I whispered to her and hugged her tighter she hugged back and let out a small sob "Cmon let's go inside" we walked inside Beth,Maggie,Carol,Hershel and everyone except for the people from Woodbury were bickering.

Ashley didn't look up once. Everyone was looking at us as we walked into the cell block. All eyes on us I walked her to my cell she laid down on the bed and hugged the pillow. "Carl I'm fine... I want to be alone please..." Her voice sad, looked at her "Im sorry I wasnt with you" I went up to her I kissed her and went down to see my dad talking to the group they looked at me "how is she" Beth asked "Scared" I said to her she started walking "Beth she said she wants to be alone" She stopped walking and went to Maggie

"We'll deal with this tomorrow get some rest" my dad said to us I walked up the stairs to my cell, Ashley was still awake hugging the pillow I sat down next to her she looked at me "Don't blame it on yourself it easy your fault" She told me I felt guilty, I told her that I wouldn't let him hurt her but I did.

I looked down ashamed, I heard her he up. She was In front of me, "Carl" I looked up "Please Don't okay." I nodded, I looked at her in tear filled eyes, I brought her in for a kiss. My hand on her chin, I closed the gap between us, I pulled her in closer to me deepening the kiss, Her hands on my neck. I kiss her with passion, she kisses back. We pull away slowly and look at each other "I'm sorry" I whisper to her "Its okay" she said back. We laid down in bed. I hold her close to me, my arms wrapped around her.

She let's out a shaky breath. "Its okay" I told her, she hugs me back. "I'm just...scared." She admits to me "I know... I'm sorry that I wasn't with you" she looks up to me "Carl its alright." She kisses my cheek and buries her head on my neck. "I love you" I say to her "I love you too Babe" I closed my eyes and held her close not wanting to let her go.

I ended up falling asleep.
