~Ashley's Pov~

Maggie handed the baby to Carl, I don't know what we're going to feed it, The prison doesn't carry baby food, "Let me see the baby" Carl walked up to Herschel "Good news she looks healthy, but she needs formula or she won't make it" I looked at Daryl "Nah we aint losing her too im going on a run" Daryl said.

"Ill back you up" Maggie said to Daryl "Ill go too" Glenn said. I wanted to go but i could help around the prison, Daryl came up to me "Listen i need you stay with Beth, Keep Carl company, boy just lost his mother" He said. I nodded "Be Careful." I said. He hugged me i hugged back, "Maggie Glenn Vamonos" Daryl went to his bike and they followed. I went over to Carl "She has your eyes, Blue, filled with Energy" I smiled at the baby and Looked up to meet Carl's eyes "Really?" He said to me with a grin on his face, I nodded "Yeah" I smiled a bit and looked at down at her, "It makes me sad that she wont have a childhood like ours.. I mean when we were younger" I said. He nodded in response "Lets head back to the cell block" He said. I nodded.

~Night time~

Daryl and Maggie finally came back from the run The baby was crying "How is she doing?" Daryl asked "Hungry" Hershel said. Beth made the formula for the baby, Daryl took her from Carl's arms and cradled her. He started feeding the baby. "He looks like a dad" I whispered in Carl's ear he laughed a bit an i giggled he nodded. "She have a name yet?" Daryl asked feeding her the formula. "Not yet but i was thinking maybe Sophia, But then there's Carol too and Andrea, Amy, Jaqui, Patrisha or Lori... i don't know..." He said and looked down, We lost a lot of people now that i think about it, I didn't really know some of them but, Its sad what this world has become.. 

"Yeah you like that huh? Lil' ass kicker right that's a good name?" Daryl asked. Everyone was laughing. "Yeah you like that sweetheart?" He asked. I smiled at him, cooing at the baby he smiled back at me, Daryl has his soft spots. Some people just don't see it. Babies. That's one if his soft spots. I haven't seen Daryl like this in a while. Genuinely smiling. He had a big smile on his face. Feeding the baby.  

 The baby finished her bottle, I washed it and headed over to check on Carl. He was sitting against the wall with his head in his hands, I frowned "Carl?" He looked up at me his eyes red and puffy from crying I sat next to him "I miss her..." He whispered looking at the ground "I'm sorry Carl i know you do" I said. He sat up. I held out my hand out he took it and stood up "Rest" i patted the mattress "Goodnight Carl" I said "Goodnight Ash.." He said sadly. 

He just lost his mom and his dad is still down there. I don't know what he was doing but he's been down there for hours.. We don't know when he's coming back. Glenn went to go check on him. It's gonna take some time for Carl to get back to how he was...  I walked up to the porch and laid down on the mattress, Daryl then came up the stairs and laid down with me, He faced me laying down.

"You alright?" He asked. I sat up "Tired of losing people.." I said. He nodded "Me too.. Lets get some rest its late" He said, I laid  down and Daryl hugged me, I fell asleep a while later... 

~Next Morning~Carl's Pov~

I woke up late, I saw Ashley sharpening her knife "I can't believe i slept in How come you didn't wake me up" She looked at me, "You had a rough day yesterday... that's why" She looked back at her knife. "What are you doing?" I asked. "I'm going on a run with Glenn and Maggie Lookin' for more formula for your sister and ammo" She asked. "Oh Where is everyone?" I asked. "Eating, you hungry?" she asked, I nodded. "Yeah lets go" I said. 

We walked in together the group looked up to us "Here" Beth came up to us and gave us food. I sat down next to Carl at the table and we ate.
