~Ashley's Pov~

~ Some Months Later~

Months have passed and were still on the move to find a place to stay. Because of the lack of food, I've lost weight but gotten stronger. We all have, Hershel grew a beard, I kinda makes him look like Santa Claus, Rick also grew a beard, Lori's pregnancy advanced, she has a huge belly now. We found a house and decided to scavenge.

I'm with Daryl checking out the house to see if we're able to find anything. He whistled and i looked his way, we found a door, i had my gun pointed at the door, Daryl went up to it slowly, he opened the door to see Rick on the other side, We smiled at each other and continued looking around the house. We went upstairs each checking the rooms, I found a room but nothing we could use. I found a bracelet with blue crystals on it, I took it. 

I walked outside to see Daryl holding something. I walked up to him "What's that?" I said laughing a little "Owl, found it in one of the rooms"  He said, I showed him the bracelet "It's nice" he said and grabbed my hand and put it on for me I smiled at him, he gave me a small grin and i went back down to keep watch.

Carl came back with 2 cans it looked like dog food Rick took it away from him and threw it "We have company" I said pointing at the window. Everyone grabbed their stuff and we started heading out through the back door, I threw my backpack i the car and went over to Daryl's Bike i Hugged his back as we rode off "You alright back there" He asked. "Yeah keep your eyes on the road Daryl" I laughed at him a little and he laughed a little too.

~Some time later~

We stopped for a while, Carl and I took watch while the group discussed. "Are you okay?" Carl asked. "Yeah why you asking?" I asked looking at him, He shrugged "You're just so... quiet now, I thought something was bugging you" He said. I shook my head "I'm okay don't worry about it" I said and smiled at him a bit. "Hey while the others wash their panties, let's go hunt that owl isn't gonna hit the spot" I turned around to look at Daryl. "You two alright?" Daryl asked. We nodded. He nodded. Rick and Daryl took off.

It's been a while now, Not a full hour. "How about you? Are you okay" I asked Carl he shrugged looking at the ground. "Okay i guess, i just want us to get to safety" He said. I nodded "Me too" I said. We heard rustling i pulled out my gun aiming at the forest. Carl did the same but it was only Daryl and Rick "We found a place" Rick said with a big smile on his face Daryl had a grin on his face. I looked at Carl he was smiling at me. I smiled back and he hugged me "Finally we find a place!" He said. I giggled a little, I've never seen him this happy, Not in a while, I hugged back and we went to our vehicles.

We arrived to a Prison it was overrun by walkers. I was helping taking down walkers with Glenn and Maggie. Rick was cutting a hole in the fence, I went in after Carl, Rick and Daryl holding the fence open. We ran to the Entrance. "It's Perfect, we can shut that gate, prevent more from getting into the yard. We can take down these walkers and get this field by tonight" Rick said looking over to the yard " How do we shut that gate" Hershel said looking over to Rick.

"i'll do it, you guys cover me" Glenn said to rick as he looked over to the field. "No, It's a suicide run" Maggie never left his side they grew very close these past months "I'm the fastest" Glenn said. "Nah, You and Glenn try attracting as many walkers as you can by the fence. Daryl go back to the other tower with Carol. Hershel You Carl and Ashley take this tower Ill run for the gate" Rick said. 

I saw Rick running towards the gate, we started shooting at the walkers i felt eyes on me but i didn't look. But i saw Carl looking at me from the corner of my eye, I don't think anyone has seen me shoot from a far distance, I'm a good shoot, i just kept on shooting, "Light it up!" Daryl said.

 Everyone started shooting taking down the walkers on the field. Rick took down the last walker "We did it" I looked over at Carl he had a huge grin on his face, his Bright blue eyes sparkling "We did it" he hugged me and we headed down "Fantastic" I heard Carol "Nice shootin'" Daryl told us. I smiled. "you okay" Carol asked Lori "Haven't felt this good in weeks" she said i smiled at her "Look at this" i said giggling Daryl carried me and spun me around smiling at me "We haven't had this much space since we left the farm" Carol laughed and T-Dog yelled with excitement.

'Night time'~ Carl Pov~

We were cooking up the owl Daryl found earlier "This will be a good place to have the baby. Faith" Beth told my mom i looked over to Ashley she was wearing Daryl's Vest again playing around with a bracelet. I think she felt me staring at her because she looked up at me, i patted the grass next to me telling her to come sit by me. She walked over and sat next to me. "Bethy sing Paddy Reilly for me i haven't heard that i think since your mother was alive"Hershel said so Beth "Daddy not that one please" Maggie said to Hershel "How about Parting Glass?" Hershel said to the girls "No one wants to hear" Beth said looking at the ground.

"Why not?" Glenn asked "Okay on one condition, Maggie and Ashley sing with me, You remember the words right?" Ashley nodded "Okay" She looked at Maggie then at Beth they all smiled and i looked at her.

"Of all the money that e're i spent I spent it all in good company and all the harm that e're I've ever done Alas it was to none but me and all I've done for want of wit To memory now i cant recall so fill to me the parting glass Goodnight and joy be with you all Oh all the comrades that e're i had, were sorry for my going away and all the sweethearts that e're i had, would wish me one more night to stay, but since it falls unto my lot that i should rise and you should not, I'll gently rise and ill softly call goodnight and joy be with you all goodnight and joy be with you all"

They finished singing, i was shocked, she had an amazing voice "Beautiful" Hershel said to the girls "Did my girls teach you the song?" Hershel asked Ashley "Yes back at the farm" Daryl stared at Ashley "What?" She looked at Daryl "I've never heard you sing before. Why'd ya not show me you have an amazing voice" She shrugged "You don't know all the things about me Daryl" she smiled at Daryl "You have a beautiful voice Ashley" I whispered to her she smiled at the "Thank You"

"I'll take watch over their we have a big day tomorrow" My dad looked at us.

"What do you mean?" Glenn told him

"Look i know we're all exhausted. This was a great win but we just have to push a little bit more This place might have Food medicine weapons this place could be a gold mine" my dad looking at everyone

"Were dangerously low on ammo we'll run out before we make a dent" Hershel said to us

"That's why we have to go in their hand to hand... After all we've been through, we can handle it i know it. these assholes don't stand a chance" my dad looked at me and walked away.

I looked at Ashley, her face covered in dirt and walker blood. "Where did you get the bracelet?" I looked at her hand "I found it in the last house we were in" she looked at me "It's pretty" i said to her 'Like you' i been starting to have feelings for her, These past months we spent together, but I'm too scared to tell her how i feel about her, maybe she doesn't even like me. "Yeah i love it Blue is my favorite color" She smiled and i smiled at her. She got up and went over to Daryl and rested her head on his lap. Everyone started to get ready for bed.
