~Ashley's Pov~   

We came to a stop, Everyone stepped out of their vehicles. Its really cold i don't have a sweater .I got off of Daryl's bike and stood in front of him, my back leaning on him, trying to get warm. "You out?" Daryl asked Rick "Been running on fumes" He said. "We can't stay here" Maggie said. "We can't all fit in one car" Glenn said to Rick "We'll make a run in the morning for gas in the morning" Rick said. "Spend the night here?" Carol said to Rick. The cold wind hit me, I shivered a little, Daryl held me close and rubbed my arms trying to keep me warm.

"Its freezing" Carl looked at Rick and i nodded in response "We'll build a fire." Lori said looking at us, Rick took off his sweater and gave it to Carl, Daryl took off his vest and wrapped it around me, It helped a little, I was wearing a thin sweater. Daryl hugged me. "We'll be out looking for firewood stay close, I only have so many arrows. How are we doing on ammo" Daryl asked. Rick looked at Daryl "Not enough" He said.  

"Well we cant just sit here with our asses hanging out" Maggie said to us. "Watch you mouth, Everyone stop panicking and listen to Rick" Hershel looking at all of us. "We'll set up a perimeter, Morning we'll find some gas and some supplies we'll keep pushing on" Rick said to us, I didn't really want to spend the night outside with no shelter, but i know Rick knows what he's doing so i just continued listening.

"Glenn and I can go on a run try to look for some gas" Maggie said to rick "No, we stay together. God forbid what can happen when were stranded without a car." Rick said. Glenn looked at Rick 

"Rick were stranded now" Glenn said. "I know it looks bad we've all been through hell and worse at least we found each other. I wasn't sure i really wasn't but we did were together. we keep it that way. We'll find shelter somewhere. There's gotta be a place." Rick said to all of us. I shivered again and closed my eyes, Daryl held me closer. Glenn broke the silence.

"Rick look around. There's walkers everywhere. their migrating or something" Glenn said. "There's gotta be a place" Rick raising his voice a little. "Even if we find a place, we can never be sure, Look what happened to the farm, we fooled ourselves thinking it was safe" Maggie told rick. "We won't make that mistake again" Hershel said looking at Maggie. "We'll make camp tonight, over there" Rick said pointing at some walls over by the river. 

"Does this seem right to you" Carol said looking at Daryl and back down to me "Honey do you want my sweater you look freezing" I shook my head "I'm fine thanks" she looked at Daryl with a frown and he just rubbed my arms.

"You know i found Randall right? He turned but he wasn't bit." Daryl looked down to me "How is that possible" Beth looked at Rick. "What the hell happened" Lori looked at Daryl "Shane killed 'em, got what he wanted" Daryl said. 

"Then the hoard got him?" Lori not taking her eyes off Rick. the group fell silent. "Were all infected" The group looked at each other. Daryl let go of me and walked over to Rick. "What?" He asked. 

"At the CDC. Jenner told me, what ever this is... We all carry it." Rick said. Daryl paced around and looked at me. I went up to him. "And you never said anything?" Carol broke the silence "Would it have made a difference?" He asked. 

I walked away not wanting to hear the rest, Not that far.  Rick walked away shortly after. Daryl came up to me "You alright?" I looked at him and smiled "I'm okay" I took off the vest and gave it back to him. "I'm goin' looking for firewood." I looked at him and stood up "Be safe" I hugged him and he hugged back i kissed his cheek and he kissed my head. He put the vest around me again. "love ya" He said, "Love you too Daryl" I said.

Night time fell and it was getting colder by the minute. We made a small fire from the wood that Daryl found earlier, I hugged myself, I was cold. Daryl held me close to him trying to keep me warm. I leaned my head on his chest. He held my hand and smiled. 

"Where not safe with him, Keeping something like that from us. Why do we need him. He's just gong to pull us down" Carol said to Daryl. I wanted to say something but i was too cold to talk.

~Daryl's Pov~

I held Ashley close to me, It's cold out and she doesn't have a sweater. She Buried her head in my chest trying to keep herself warm. I looked at the fire, then looked at the group, i felt eyes on me, or at least i thought, i looked up to see Carl looking at Ashley. They grew close these passed days, Her breathing settled letting me know she fell asleep. "I think we should take our chances" Maggie said looking at us. "Don't be foolish, there's no food, no fuel no ammo" Hershel said to Maggie, I heard rustling and I shook her a little. Ashley woke up looking around "Its alright stay here" I whispered to her as i got up everyone doing the same.

"What was that?" Beth looking around "Could be anything. Raccoon a possum" I said grabbing my crossbow. "Walker" Glenn asked  "We need to leave, I mean what are we waiting for" Carol said "We don't need anyone walking off in the dark. We don't have the vehicles and no one is traveling on foot." Rick said looking at Carol "Don't Panic" Hershel said to us "I'm not sitting here waiting for another hoard we need to move now" Maggie said to us

"No one is going anywhere" Rick said raising his voice a little "Do something" Carol said Rick "I am doing something. I'm keeping this group together. Alive! I've been doing it all along No matter what i didn't ask for this! I killed my best friend for you people for Christ sake" I looked at Ashley, her eyes on Rick. The whole group shocked including me.

 "You saw what he was like, How he pushed us how he compromised us, how he threatened us. He staged the Whole Randall thing, he led me out to put a bullet in my back. He gave me no choice! He was my friend but he came after me" Carl broke down crying onto Lori's shoulder and Ashley just looked at Rick, "My hands are clean! Maybe you people are better off without me. Go ahead the door i right there, lets see how far you get." He said.

Ashley looked Scared, she's never seen Rick like this None of us Have. The group looking the same. "No takers... fine, lets get one thing straight. You're staying this isn't a democracy anymore" Rick looked at Lori and Carl and back at Ashley. He looked at everyone and walked away. I went up to Ashley and hugged her she hugged me back. I held her I'm my arms, Some time later almost everyone was asleep except the ones on watch, I was awake with Ashley.

"Why don't you get some rest.Its late we had a long day" I said. She looked up to me "What about you" I looked at her knowing she wont go to sleep unless I'm with her "I'll be right here when you wake up" I said. She nodded and rested her head on my lap, I put my hand on her shoulder, she fell after a while.
