23-1952

It was the night, when someone young and handsome man was lurking at the office, drinking some champagne which might eventually bewilder the mind. The rest of the police officers were dancing with joy of announcing Urdu as the official language of the East Pakistan, which would eventually go up to a disastrous range. Certain people with good looks and confidence might not work always because, slow and steady wins the race, as simply said.

Kareem, the bad boy of the authority might be a cheerful, chilled-out person, until, one of the soldier commented 'you...are...a....failure!' It made his eyes, rounded.

When he got up from the wooden chair, where all his achievements were shining less from the deep, sun-like lights. The drunk and Kareem both smirked at each other as of former lovers.

"The word 'failure' could demoralize the person to such an extent that they misuse their success, isn't it? Officer?" sneered Kareem, in a similar way to interrogate a criminal. Until, the smirk slowly fades to an anger management, clawed his palms on the finger and was about to hold his throat.

Until, he heard a sound of horror, where the howl of the wolf and the cold mist led into the call of the owl. Continuous cackling laughs surprised the officers with fear and peed their pants, except for Kareem who got curious about the 'cacophony ghosts', plus little did he knew, the jinn do exist in certain spiritual beliefs. Everything would not always be logical on its ways to turn around.

The curious Kareem held up the pistol that spooky sounds continuously roared.

"SHOW UP! YOU Fu..."

Until the water balloons had been thrown down along with the pouring of the waterfall. Karim's fingers, trembled with fear that the pistol slipped. He ran through the woods behind the police station. He saw dead bodies coming out from the floor that made him scream to death. He ran like a loony and idiotic such as if a cartoon character or an innocent child would react to.

He ran back to the office, crawling as if he was tired. Kareem found someone offering a bottle of water. When he looked at the person, he was terrified of his creepy smile. It was one of his constables.

"Sir, water"

Kareem, a brave and bold officer showed signs of his cowardliness that got him: fainted. The ghost worn off their disguises, revealing to be Shyamol, Haleem, Salam and the theater group who was indirectly protesting against the officer. They got into the hideout and enjoying their meal, cooked by Haleema and Aameer. Mamun got curious of Shotto's absence that actually started to feel it by smelling a bundle of rats.

"So, Salam, where is Shotto?" asked Mamun.

"I think, she's probably taking care of her father. He had been ill since few days" answered Salam.

Mamun could have asked more, but stopped himself, because as Jawad, he already knew about Shotto. Otherwise, he had a plan in mind which might change the lot of event forever. If it was Mamun from the original timeline, he couldn't have suspected about Shotto among the crowd of students, or even Salam.

It was interrupted by Haleem who was chanting his scary stories, until, Mamun asked about the 'living dead bodies' in the woods behind the station, Haleem was at the utmost shock, which was not actually the part of plan. Hence, he felt that it was something to do with certain dimensions that the time travel even signaled.

Another day, Haleem and Haleema went through the shop. They opened the shutter, started to clean the shop and sat. The first customer they arrived was a Pakistani soldier who was reading a newspaper, with a shocking heading. It was written 'ARE BENGALIS THE INVADERS OF THE EAST PAKISTAN?'

One of the most disgusting headings that could acknowledge every Bengali, forcing to learn Urdu in the name of religion. As it stated that 'respect other beliefs' which doesn't even count for them, Pakistanis whose conservative beliefs, except for the countrymen who still consider the Bengalis as brothers, are exaggerating it!

"Well, well, Bengalis, right?" said the officer, after finished reading the newspaper.

"Yes, we are, does it matter?" snapped Haleem in Bengali.

"Your attitude had turned into more of the students in the rallies who are protesting, along with those middle class men who are even protesting against it. You Bengalis are so desperate to make your language as the majority. Why? Isn't Bengali, the language of Hinduism? Or not?"

"Does it matter or not? Why are you so itchy about it?"

"Because it's my job for fucking you Bengalis out of my way! Because, we, Muslims rule Urdu!"

The officer stood onto the ground of the area and loudly announced "FROM NOW ONWARDS, EVERYONE SHOULD SPEAK URDU!"

It angered Haleem and grabbed the officer's collar, whilst the other people from the area stood for Haleem and Haleema. In that sense, the officer was petrified to watch the angry mobs dissenting against him. The attack that they have to get prepared, they picked up their shoes and hit the bastard officer, if they were hitting the brutal Karim.

Hence, Haleem got back to the shop, while Shyamol just arrived with an upsetting sound. It was gloomy, whilst Haleem and Haleema got into an empty exclamatory expression. It was so devastating to see the once funniest man in the group was now looking at the upcoming battlefield, which would create the revolution, eventually approaching in the quickest way as possible.

"Ah...any news?" asked Haleem in a deep humble voice.

"Brother Haleem" said Shyamol. "It's Mehrab, our brother from the government office was shot killed by the soldiers, while the students protested. Some even mistook him as a student, which enraged the students. Even some of the students had their pants open and when some turned out to be a Hindu, they tortured the shit out of it! It's all because of yesterday's incident, where Kareem came to know about it"

"Where is our brother Mamun?" asked Haleem.

It was blank!

Meanwhile, Mamun was in a rally, where the crowded people angrily protesting 'WE WANT BANGLA', looking at the impregnated Syeeda sat along with the young Sohail, along with the other students who actually were eating during the curfew. He burst onto tears, which might warm the presence of winter. It was the rally of the empty roads, where only the people stood. Then Salam looked at his upset mood, got closer to him.

"Brother!" said Salam.

"I know what are you thinking? Thousands of people died! Couldn't save some Bengalis who were pressurized by the authorities and bosses of that language that shouldn't have been radicalized! All thanks to some of the troublemakers of the British Colony, not only with the partition but the freedom of language with the troubling beliefs of faith! This should end as sooner, the better!" angered Mamun.

"What would you do then?"

"Something that I haven't done for a month. Hence, we all have to be strong enough! It is what I could tell you. Take care of Shotto!"

Salam looked surprised about it. Some truths could be unveiled later, which created the much anticipation of Salam's life. The sentence that triggered Salam, created the sense of agony and angst towards himself.

The police, again tried to beat the mom's womb which the other women just grabbed them and hit their asses with their heels and sandals. Mamun took her quickly to the hospital. When he called Shehtaj with the hospital's phone, she quickly veiled herself and rushed into the cabin. Mamun went straight home.

When he opened the door, he saw the students, along with Shyamol, stood as he entered with grace. Except for Salam and Shotto, Shyamol, Haleem and Haleema stood front. It was quite surprising for Mamun as Jawad, who thought to the one of the students in the rally to protest on the 21st February Language Movement, turned out to be one of the student leaders, along with Syeda who actually signed that initiative. Before the biggest event, Jawad needed to calm down to discuss upon the initiative, as in the original timeline, earlier with Syeda, they gave a lot of protest with Kareem.

In the interim, in the torture camp, Kareem checked upon the people imprisoned. It was muddy and bleak, which the cold atmosphere sets to the electric motion. People from the other departments saluted him. When one of the old man was sitting on the wire thorn chair, he smirked. Kareem looked at him, curiously. His eyes widened, with a cold stare. The psychopath in him started to carry out his whip from his pocket.

"So where's your friend?" asked Kareem in the deep voice.

"Does it matter to you, sir?" snapped the old man.

"Why you little... Anyway, tell me, where's she?" screamed Kareem.

"Then where's your spy?"

The interrogation continued and Kareem took out the wire with a suave cackling laugh. He took out the wires completely and put on the old man's wrist. His body was shaking, when the power of the volts increased, similar to lobotomy. The haggard was having the joy of death...

"I...won't...tell...you"

The last words blanked his body.
