Chapter 13: Miracle Child

Third person pov

"gO BACK TO SUNA-"

"MOTHER!"

Sasori and Midori were in the middle of some sort of fight, or reunion. It was honestly hard to tell at this point, so the rest of the Akatsuki had sort of begun to ignore it. Hidan had Hollow hiding behind him, and Kisame was just kinda staring at Tobi. The man sat silently on the couch, clearly thinking some things over. Itachi was still at the table, but he wasn't reading anymore. Instead, he opted for staring at Hollow. If she could make Midori visible, could she do the same for Shisui?

"So anyway, the way you channel your chakra is you reach deep inside of you to that warmth that you feel. You've gotta become aware of it first, and then draw it out." Yahiko tried to use simple words, because he knew Hollow's vocabulary was still reasonably small. The girl seemed to understand, but still looked just a tad lost. Nobody could really blame her. Hikari rarely talked about chakra, simply because it wasn't a physical thing Hollow could feel or manipulate while stuck in her own mind.

"L... Like H-Hikari?" Hollow stuttered, staring at Yahiko and Shisui questionably. The two boys shared a look, clearly trying to think of how to separate Hikari's warmth from her chakra's. The light goddess would obviously hold some physical presence within her: one that she would notice.

"No, reach... deeper." Shisui suggested, looking to Yahiko. He shrugged.

"Hollow, does Hikari feel like she's a part of you?" Rin questioned, ignoring the two. Sasodai was standing next to Midori, trying to calm her down, and also telling her what to say to Sasori for him. Although, he would occasionally glance over at them. Rin would always offer a polite wave, and he'd nod in return. He was a father at heart, and felt rather obligated to make sure they were all okay.

"Not... not r-really." Hollow fiddled with her hands, looking at her blood-soaked feet. Should she ask someone for help? The bandages sticking to her wounds really hurt, and they were preventing Hikari from healing them any further. Maybe Hidan, or Kisame would help her. Kisame seemed nice, and so did Itachi. But Hollow didn't want to bother him any further. Besides, he seemed too busy staring at her. Hollow wouldn't want to interrupt him.

"Okay, well there should be another warmth that is a part of you. I want you to reach for that." Rin encouraged, smiling brightly at her. Hollow stared at Rin for a moment before nodding. Shisui and Yahiko both leaned in as Hollow shut her eyes, her hands gripping the sides the seat of her chair. Hidan glanced back at her, shrugged, and turned forward again. He popped another orange slice in his mouth. It was his job to watch Hollow, so he guessed whatever the hell he was doing right now was fine.

"Hollow?" Yahiko asked after a second, reaching out to touch her. His hand made contact with her bare knee, and there was a loud zap. Like someone being shocked by an outlet, or something akin to it. Hollow let out a yelp, her eyes snapping open, and Yahiko fell backwards onto the floor. Rin let out a cheer, and Shisui sighed, pouting. He wanted to be solid, dammit!

"Dammit, another one? You need to calm the fuck down with the dead people kid." Hidan said, his mouth full of orange slices. Hollow shrunk back in her seat, her cheeks coloring. Yahiko jumped up happily, slapping his hand flat against Hidan's bicep. The silver-haired man simply raised an eyebrow, looking rather unamused. Yahiko let out a gasp.

"MIRACLE CHILD!" He screeched loudly. Kisame and Hidan winced, recoiling. Yahiko took this chance to grab Hollow, and, well, run for it. "MIRACLE CHILD, I REPEAT, MIRACLE CHILD!" He shrieked, holding her above his head as he ran into the halls. Hidan cursed.

"God dammit, Yahiko!" Shisui called after the screeching man.

Hollow could only close her eyes and hope this insanity would end soon.
