THE TWIN CRESCENTS

The space is an expanse of dim darkness with a million shining dots, but it appears considerably more intimidating from where she is floating.

Big gaseous balls levitated and stationed themselves in the sky, revolving at such a slow speed that a person can only regard them as fixed. Those stars aren't just white as they appear; they have sprinkling black and golden specks hidden beneath the bleach blanket.

Kiara, a female astronaut, is lost in this oblivion of space. Rather than fighting the feeling, she seems to be lost in a deep, comfortable slumber.

She is wearing a jaded grey space suit which has two pointed cones attached to the backpack of the suit. Fire igniting at the feet of her suit suddenly extinguishes, leaving her entirely to the beauty of a low gravity space.

Gradually, she nears the planet Saturn, that though considered to be made of gas looks completely solid from the distance she is at.

Suddenly, she opens her eyes, they are entirely green, unlike a regular person's. "I'm getting close to the rings, Cook," a robotic voice mutter from within her. The gasoline at her suit's feet begins to re-ignite, allowing her to take control of her trajectory. Moving onward, gaseous particles materialize in front of her eyes, which finally turn normal.

These particles are gigantic in size, making her dizzy. They have a gloss on them and resemble intricate abstracts in blue, orange, or green. As she passes them, her head tilts to admire yet scrutinize the particles.

A dark, big laboratory with walls designed out of pipes, with monitors placed all over the room. The outer space is visible at the screen of most of these monitors and some humans sitting at their desks or stats, or written information displayed on the other monitor screens.

With an earpiece in her ear, a lady is standing in front of one of these monitors.

In the gloomy room with an entire wall dedicated merely to monitors illuminating the big outer space as a dark glittery void, the lady has lost her own self. She is banging her head at a table.

"Ok, gather yourself together Cook. It's the ring. You know it. You have a lot of your robots to it, but not anymore! You know those rings have some sort of teleportation ability. Just find out what they do", she mutters to herself, trying to uplift her own morale with promising words.

She reconnects with the earpiece, "Activate the satellite. I've lost connection with her."

She then continues to speak once finished listening to the person on the other side...

"Yes, I'll monitor her through that satellite. Those satellites are spread everywhere and we are pretty sure those rings surrounding Saturn are no folklore. They do have teleportation powers. In the past few weeks, I lost at least twenty astronauts to those rings."

On listening to the person on the other, she starts becoming a little furious. However, taming the frustration, she speaks, "sir, often, I have spotted material flying at the other side of the planet. And I know those materials from the bodies of the robots I made. So, yes, I know what I'm doing."

Again, right after the person on the other head finishes. Losing her calm composure bit by bit, she accosts, "sir, this is no joke! I have to bag the results in this trial. My life is already a hazard right now, Zenith no longer behaves normally and my daughter is a total mess to handle. This is the only thing that can bring some positivity to my life. I believe something bad is about to take place. And I have a premonition that I'll succeed in this discovery. Maybe then my life would start taking pace. Please let me use the resources, I need this."

After the person on the other hand finishes his part of the conversation, she exhales in relief, "thank you. And no, I'm saying I feel something bad might take place in a few years. No! I don't mind this discovery has any relation to that. I'm just talking about my personal life! Uff."

A gripping wind is inducing Kiara to its direction, particles of dust and gas which are far multi-coloured than one could expect are forming a crescent shape. Involuntarily, Kiara is moving in that direction.

She has gone numb again. Soberly losing the fight against a dynamic force.

However, before she can reach the group of gas balls creating a crescent, her body starts segregating itself. Her skins start to depart the metal body, flying in the air in the shapes of spores as if her body is a flower with metal petals.

Her suit starts to dissolve into spore-like material, her bare skin starts to fade away, skin-coloured spores seeping out of it. Along with them, her hair begins to disintegrate into spores as well. Her eyeballs pop away and begin to float; as do her ears, nose, fingers, and feet, that are all morphing into spores.

What's remained of her is a black-coloured metal body that resembles a mannequin.

The spores are forsooth cameras. Kaira's body continues to pull forward. Whilst most of these segregated spores are unable to resist the formidable pull, a few of them apparently succeed in reaching a distance.

The remainder of the spherical cameras continue spreading along the crescent design made of gaseous balls, now forming a crescent design themselves, surely having a bigger perimeter than the beautiful multi-coloured gaseous crescent. As they expand, it comes to the view that there is not just one but two bleach and glittery crescent shapes afloat the dark pitch space. And they are making a ring altogether, a ring that covers a brown land. Namely- the planet Saturn.

Kaira's body finally touches this mysterious gaseous crescent. Whilst, the recently formed outer crescent made of cameras tries to record this movement that the stars are unaware of.

On Earth, Cook can clearly concede it a step towards victory, and yes, her cameras finally catch the body coming out of the horizontally opposite crescent, apparently. The view leaves her mesmerized.

But that's not it whilst coming out of the gaseous crescent, the robot's body starts to disintegrate due to the star's pressure, there is a bracelet that the mannequin is wearing, it departs the body and starts to fly away. All the cameras join it and form the body of an infant up in the space. The bracelet comes in contact with this infant, soon igniting a flame that pushes the group of cameras towards Earth.

An infant lit on fire starts to fly back to the blue and green sphere amidst the vast view of stars shinning in the dark.

Standing all alone in the dark monitor room, Cook (the female scientist) is cautiously holding a black ring in her slender fingers.

A guy walks in, well brushed hair blonde hair and a moustache. His chic clothing style indicates he might be from Florida.

Cook looks at him. She shifts to a straight posture as she begins to speak, "as you know, this ring here can collect anything in infinite. I used it to collect those gasses. But do you know how useless I feel about this mission?"

She turns to one of the monitors, the molecular design of two gases displayed on it. She points out, "these gases I found in space are formed of Nitro-acids and chlorine-fabertyxine, the latter being a gas that forms Jelly on being frozen. And nitro acids are found in glass. Now comes the interesting part, glass prisms can form rainbow as you may know. Nitro acids are invisible, but chlorine-fabertyxine provides them composure."

She turns to another monitor which displays Kiara's teleportation. "There were even cameras that were attached to Kiara's body. However, whilst travelling past the crescent hole, they were demolished. So, I could not collect viable evidence in support of this gaseous mixtures use.

However, I pulled another experiment in my lab soon after I got evidence of the bodies transfer from the pit. Say, do you remember Elijah? The kid with the genes of a warrior, the one who was about to die of something as meek as Cancer. Him and his father volunteered. Do you want to see what the experiment was about?"

The minister nods.

With a smirk, she tosses the ring into the air; suddenly, she vanishes. From behind, a robotic metal hand tosses another ring of similar composure. When the ring is still floating in the air, Cook appears right below it, landing to the ground. To the naked eye, all this happens in instants.

"Now you try it" she offers.

The minister takes the ring, hesitantly tossing it into the air.

His POV, he finds himself floating in a black-coloured den, colourful cell shaped bodies levitated all around this black oblivious wall. Suddenly, a jerk starts to pull him and the next thing he sees... Cook's smirk.

"The fluorescent shapes you saw are caused by prism effect due to the presence of nitro-acids. And composure to the rainbow is due to chlorine-fabertyxine. Now, the fluorescent effect that is in contrast with the colours of a rainbow, gives birth to a speed of lightning. What is more amazing is that this gaseous crescent covers both the sides of the Saturn, making it's rings invisible."

"Cook, let me talk beyond Science and fantasy here. Why did you call me?"

Cook enthusiastically proclaims, "We can make teleporting rings out of them. Do you get what I am meaning to say?"

For a minute, the minister is left flabbergasted till he finally breathes some air into himself. "Ok. So, I guess you need more money to run these space errands and collects more of the particles?"

Cook clears her throat, "well not exactly sir. We can both find these gasses on earth with ease, I just needed your permission." A big smile appears on her face as she says so.

The minister smirks, "permission granted. What will this florescent pavement becalled though?"

"Well, since the combination of any two gases forming an extremely useful substance makes the combination classify as an Orient tier, I'd say- Orient?"

The minister chuckles flamboyantly, "Orient? Seems like a good name..."

A young lad is goofily passing a zebra-cross, oblivious to a car nearing him at a bizarre speed. The chauffeur himself is in paranoia, now astounded by the lad's abrupt evaporation.

*Swoosh*

The lad finds himself in a black-colored den, colourful cell-shaped objects levitated, enclosed by this black wall. Suddenly, a jerk starts to pull him, and the next thing he sees...

He's back at the zebra crossing but the car has reached his other side, now distancing itself from him.

"This ring here can collect anything in infinite. I used it to collect those gasses. But do you know how useless I feel about this? These gases are formed of Nittins which are found in glass, and CF's, which form Jelly when kept at cold temperature. Both the gasses are easily available on Earth!

Glass prisms can form a rainbow as you may know. Nittens are invisible, but CF provides them composure.

They are caused by the prism effect due to the presence of nittens. And composure to the rainbow is due to CF's. Since both the gasses are found easily on our planet, we can ease transportation. This ring's purposes are surreal!"

"The government finally makes the teleporting rings available to the public for transport."
