Chapter Twenty-Five
Peter
 
    Peter was deep in thought when he suddenly heard Mr. Collins cough loudly and realized that Mr. Collins was looking at him with surprise.
  Mr. Collins said: "Peter, why are you thinking? Is something wrong? Is it because of Mrs. Marks?"
  Peter thought to himself: "I understand that Anna is upset now." Then he said: "Mr. Collins, if Mrs. Marks comes to you to resign, please don't accept it."
  "Resign! Why?"
  "I'll explain it to you tonight."
  Mr. Collins said: "Something strange has happened!"
