Chapter Sixty-Six Martin
Chapter Sixty-Six
Martin
After Peter left, Martin sighed and called James Cobb and said, "It seems we acted too soon. He didn't know anything."
James said, "Nothing! Now what should I do?"
Martin said, "Contact Anna more and provoke her." Then he thought to himself, "She needs to be more provoked."
"Can't you involve Anna Walberg in this matter?"
Martin said, "You're saying that I shouldn't do anything; don't worry, she won't get hurt." When he hung up the phone, he stared at the snow globe on the table and remembered the one-line letter and thought to himself, "The snow globe is your work; Beatrice, why don't you show up; was that letter just a silly game?!" He got up and smashed the snow globe to feel some relief but when he bent down he was surprised to find a small and thin cylinder among the pieces of the snow globe, similar to those that hid a secret message inside. He picked it up with doubt and quickly found a paper that said: My motive is to completely destroy your life; I enjoy doing evil so be careful and make my work hard. Martin ran to his bedroom and searched everywhere for that one-line letter from Beatrice. When he finally found it and compared it with his trembling hands to that threatening letter, although the handwriting did not match, he was not sure that the one-line letter was from her and thought to himself, "Who is threatening me?!"
