Chapter One Hundred and Thirty-Two Robert

Chapter One Hundred and Thirty-Two
Robert

When Robert came to his senses, he realized he was standing with Martin in front of his father's house but said nothing.
As they both entered the house, Martin immediately said, "Steve, did you really bring Christine here? Why did you do that, my friend?"
   "Are you upset, Martin?"
"Well, I really have to say I don't know."
"You weren't doing anything special; I was tired of waiting, but this had a good outcome."
Martin sighed and said, "That's right."
"Did you see Anna today? Did she realize you are her father?"
Martin nodded to confirm and then sighed, saying, "She called me dad; I'm happy but I don't know how to express it. Isn't that really ridiculous?"
Steve said, "It's not ridiculous at all, my friend. I'm glad you have a reason to be happy." Then he added, "By the way, the party." Martin interrupted him and said, "Now is not a good time."
Robert suddenly spoke up and said, "Father, did you really imprison Mrs. Collins here?"
Steve looked into Robert's eyes and said, "Yes."
Robert said sadly, "But father." Steve interrupted him and said, "Why are you so upset, Robert?!"
Robert said nothing and after a few moments changed the subject, saying, "Anna has asked us to see her and ask her a few questions."
Mr. Dixon took a small piece of paper and wrote an address on it with a blue pen, saying, "Go to this house and meet her, but she is not alone." Then he handed the paper to Martin and they got back into the car in silence. After a few moments, Martin broke the silence and said, "Do you have a disagreement with your father, Robert?"
Robert said, "Yes, you realized it quickly; but I think it's mostly my fault and I'm upset." Then he sighed and said, "Can we change the subject?"
Martin said, "Don't talk to me formally." Then he sighed and said, "You go into this house alone and I'll wait for you in the car."
"Why? Are you afraid of facing Mrs. Collins?"
"Yes, I'm afraid; I don't want to see her and besides, I want to think about past events for a while."
As Robert parked the car by the street, he said, "We've arrived So I'll leave you alone." Then he got out of the car.
