Chapter One Hundred and Seventeen Josh Collins
Chapter One Hundred and Seventeen
Josh Collins
Mr. Collins, anxious, went to see Martin. As soon as he entered the room and saw Martin, he said worriedly, "Something bad has happened; Christine is missing. I'm very concerned and can't think straight."
Martin stepped forward and said, "It's very strange, but I promise you I have nothing to do with this matter." After a moment of silence, he sighed and said, "If you doubt me, you can search the entire mansion and ask James. I haven't left this house yesterday or today."
At that moment, Martin's thoughts were irrelevant to Josh, who shouldn't waste time. So Mr. Collins quickly searched all the rooms, and when he realized that there was no sign of Christine, he sat down on a chair in disappointment, leaned forward slightly, resting his elbows on his knees and hiding his head in his hands, and said, "I don't know what to say. I hoped she would be here; I'm sorry."
Martin, sitting next to Josh, said, "It's okay. You love your wife, and deep down, like everyone else, you believe I'm a dangerous lunatic, right?"
Mr. Collins looked at the broken pieces of a snow globe on the table, then coughed and said, "I've reported her missing to the police. I'm not feeling well at all; I'm leaving now." He glanced at his wristwatch and left the place, disappointed.
