Chapter One Hundred and Fourteen

     Mrs. Moyes was seated behind the wheel of her car, which she had parked at a suitable distance behind her husband's car. Throughout the time her husband was inside the house reading that letter, Amy sat in silence behind the wheel, telling herself, "Scott should have broken the rules of this game so it wouldn't end so soon; now the game begins my way." Then she looked at the snow globe box that was now on the seat next to her until her gaze fell on the ring in her hand, which she quickly took off. Amy saw with her own eyes that Scott came out of the house and angrily got into his car; she too started her car. She followed her husband until they reached Mr. Collins' house. When both of them came out of Collins' house and each got into a car, Amy said to herself, "Goodbye Scott. Hello Josh."
