Chapter One Hundred and Forty-Six Martin
Chapter One Hundred and Forty-Six
Martin
Martin stood silently beside Amy's bed; Amy Webster was still asleep. Martin quietly left the room and said to Anna, who was looking at him worriedly, "I left your mother so she could be happy, but she said I was cruel; I thought she was cruel too."
Anna said, "Mother told me she searched for you a lot but couldn't find you and." Martin interrupted her and said, "And she married Scott and had children and was happy; of course, before I killed her children."
"But I'm alive!"
Martin turned to Anna, wanting to respond, but his phone rang. It was an unknown number; Martin said, "Excuse me!" and then touched the green answer icon.
The woman who called said, "I've been waiting for you for a long time, fool, but it seems I have to confess that I'm the cause of all your miseries."
Martin angrily said, "Who are you?!"
"Beatrice."
"I can't believe it! What are you saying?"
"Aren't you curious to see me? You must see me; just tell me when and where."
"Very well. Come to the address I'm sending you right now."
