Chapter One Hundred and Forty-Five
Evelin
 
     Evelin was standing by the street, waiting for Robert, lost in her thoughts until she heard Robert's voice saying, "Mother, why did you ask me to come here?" Then he added, "You've changed your hair color and style? I didn't recognize you!"
   Evelin had cut and dyed her hair red; she said, "I don't have time; did you go to the Collins' house? Did you find anything?"
   "Mother, why did you tell me to help Martin Holland?!"
   Evelin said, "Because helping that man is helping me." Then she extended her palm and said, "Give me whatever you found."
   Robert, while taking a letter out of his bag and handing it to Evelin, said, "A few private letters plus this important one."
   After reading the letter, Evelin said, "I can't believe he's so slow-witted! Why hasn't he understood the main issue after reading this letter?!"
   "He hasn't seen this letter yet, mother."
   "Why not?"
   "Because Mr. Cobb prevented it."
   Evelin, while handing the letter back to Robert, said, "But Mr. Cobb can't stop fate."
   Robert said, "Mother, is this matter related to you?"
   Evelin, while walking away from Robert, said, "What do you think?" Then she waved and said, "I have to go now."
