Chapter One Hundred and Forty Anna

Chapter One Hundred and Forty
Anna

Anna, who was shocked, came to her senses when her mother fell to the ground. She took her to the bedroom; that strange house had a doctor and equipment! She told the doctor there to take care of her. When she came out of that room, she saw her father and Peter shaking hands.
Peter said, "Finally, the time for our reunion has come. I'm glad."
Martin, while shaking his hand firmly, said, "Really! I don't think you should be glad."
   "Why shouldn't I be glad?"
"Are you really unaware of this matter, or are you playing me?"
"Playing you! For what? I just want to get an answer to my question."
Anna said, "Peter, you started this interrogation very abruptly!"
Peter looked at Anna in surprise and said, "You're here?! What are you doing here?"
Anna said, "I invited you here myself, remember?! I have to be here, so sit down calmly on the chair." Anna continued talking, and Peter, obediently, was about to sit on the chair, but Anna said, "Wait, do you have a weapon?" Then she turned to one of her father's men and said, "Conduct a thorough body search."
Peter, standing with his arms open, laughed and said, "You've become a gangster, Mrs. Dixon, the famous musician?!"
Anna, sitting next to her father on the couch, saw that the man found Peter's gun; she smiled and said, "When the CEO of a famous company decides to be a killer, what's wrong with me being a gangster to protect my father!"
Now that the three of them were alone in the room, Peter sat comfortably on the chair and said, "So, what should I do, Mrs. Dixon?!"
"Just show those letters to my father, that's all."
Peter did so without any objection and then returned to his place.
Martin, looking at Anna in surprise, picked up the letters as if fear had taken over him in an instant. He finally read the first and second letters, then put them aside and said, "What answer do you two want from me?"
Peter said, "The answer to why you had such enmity with my family that you separated me from them and sent me to an orphanage to somehow take revenge on them?"
Martin said nothing but looked directly into Anna's eyes and said, "Do you really consider me the real culprit in this matter, Anna?"
Anna, though a bit doubtful, quickly said, "Not even for a moment did I think that, father."
Martin then said to Peter, "Peter, look at this house. Until six years ago, this place and other houses were like a prison to me, and all these people were my jailers, and the control of this prison was in the hands of Josh Collins, and I couldn't have done such a thing to you and your family."
Peter Miller sneered and said, "Do you expect me to believe this story?!"
Martin, frustrated, picked up one of the letters, shrugged, and said, "I don't know how to prove that I had no role in this matter, but I didn't write these letters; this is not my handwriting."
Peter took a deep breath and said, "So you have agoraphobia?"
Martin, getting up from his seat, said, "I have to go now. I'm already very late. This issue is related to my life, so I regretfully leave." Then he left.
Anna couldn't stop her father this time, so she said regretfully, "I'm sorry you didn't achieve your goal."
Peter sighed and said, "It's okay, but why do you look so worried?!"
"Because my father's innocence wasn't proven."
Peter, approaching Anna, said, "Your father is not guilty."
   "Why do you say that?!"
Peter showed one of the letters to Anna and said, "These letters were written by Mr. Collins; your father was telling the truth."
Anna looked at Peter in surprise and said, "Mr. Collins! But why?"
"I don't know, but I'll find out today."
