Chapter Ninety-Four Martin

Chapter Ninety-Four
Martin

Mr. Holland was sitting quietly on the chair facing the lit fireplace in his big prison and was lost in thought because he was looking at the broken pieces of the ball that he still held; because they were on the table, in front of his eyes until James came and said: "Martin, Steve Dixon is here."
Martin's heart was out of control and was restless in his chest; Martin had a heartbeat and felt a pain in his chest anyway he said softly and spellbound: "Steve is here?"
Mr. Dixon's wheelchair entered the room and Steve smiled and said: "What's wrong? Don't you want to see me anymore?"
Martin quickly went to him; sat in front of Mr. Dixon's feet and said: "I don't know I just feel guilty."
"It's not your fault that I have to sit on this chair Martin."
"You say that but I don't think so this happened because you wanted to help me understand something about this case."
"I'm not upset but you're upset but I don't know why."
"Because your life is ruined and nothing is worth destroying a good life, under any circumstances."
Steve said: "But I saw that you were sacrificing your life without any resistance and I didn't want it to happen that's why I came to help you."
"I didn't want anyone but myself to be destroyed."
"So your life has no value?"
"I had to work against myself to protect my family."
"You didn't have to surrender so easily. You had to understand who was threatening you? And you had to report this to the police or at least flee the country with your family."
"I may have made a mistake in the past but now I want to face him and show him the price of his work."
"Do you really want this Martin?"
"Yes for now I have to convince Josh that I'm not guilty."
  "Did you talk to him?"
"I talked to him about this yesterday."
Steve said: "Did Josh believe you or not?" He seemed to be looking at the broken pieces on the table; he said: "What are these?"
  "Snow globe."
  "Snow globe for you?!"
"It has a special meaning for me."
Steve said: "I know." Then he said: "I asked if Josh believed you or not?"
It seemed he was changing the subject; Martin thought so; Martin coughed and said: "You could say yes and no, he apparently believed what I said and asked 'how does that help me to figure out who is to blame?'"
Steve said: "You didn't do anything special. I feel sorry for you." Then he said: "Don't believe what he says, don't trust him; he thinks you are to blame in this matter and he is waiting for an opportunity to make the situation go in a way that the doubt and suspicion that has arisen will disappear."
"Anyway, we need this apparent help to get his address."
Mr. Dixon, whose face was getting redder by the moment, put his hand on his heart, it seemed he had a heart palpitation, he took a deep breath to calm down but almost screamed: "Does Josh have his address?!"
Martin shrugged indifferently and said: "I'm not sure." He said to himself: "I've had his address and even his phone number for a few days."
Steve punched the handle of the wheelchair angrily and said: "So this revenge is just a childish game."
“Calm down, we can get to him with the help of Peter Miller.”
  “How?!”
The conversation continued.
***
Steve, who was alone with James outside that house, said: “Has Martin been threatened with that snowball?” James just said: “Yes.”
Steve, when he got in the car, called Evelin and said: “Evelin, did you send Martin a snowball and threaten him?”
  “No, how come?”
“It seems someone else is using this method; this is dangerous for us.”
