Chapter Eighty-Six Anna
Chapter Eighty-Six
Anna
During the ceremony, Anna was immersed in various thoughts. Of course, the sweet part of these thoughts was more, but in any case, these thoughts had sent Anna to a different world; all her senses were on the bench where her parents were sitting and more precisely, she was staring at her mother's face and was a little upset with her. She was also a little angry because she had not answered her last email.
There, Robert's father was also present. Although he had a dry and harsh face, he was always kind to Anna and smiled at her. Anna had no problem with him, but now she was a little afraid of him; no! She felt anger in her heart towards him; anyway, she was carefully watching the movements and talks of this father and son.
On the way back to London at the airport, Anna received a text message from an unknown number: Congratulations on your wedding.
Who are you?
Amy Moyes, I'm your aunt. No, I mean I want to see you. I have to talk to you.
I'm in Juneau, Alaska right now.
I'm here too. I have to talk to you alone. I have to make sure you're my daughter.
Anna's mobile phone fell out of her hand and its screen broke and she could not do anything because her phone was not working. Anna, who was on her father-in-law's private plane, looked at Robert who was sitting opposite her in silence. She did not speak for two reasons. First, because Mr. Dixon and Mr. Fisher were on the plane. Second, because that day she did not want to think about bad things or be angry with anyone. But another reason that made Anna not board her parents' plane was her mother's terrified looks; Anna knew that her mother was afraid that she would repeat the same question and she could not answer. Anna did not want to repeat this question anymore for her mother's comfort, but on the other hand, her existence was burning in knowing the answer to this question; Anna preferred to do her best to never repeat this question again, but it was a very hard and painful job for Anna.
When the plane landed, Anna said to Robert: "I have to collect my important stuff from my room and bring it to our house. Then I have to see the orchestra manager."
"Then come back soon. Dad says he has a big gift for you."
Anna entered that terrifying house with a smile, a house where she had grown up, but now everything and everyone in that family was a big question mark for her. However, she talked to everyone about different things, but did not mention the email. She did not want to pay attention to this matter for now, but her mother's scared eyes made her work hard, but with all this situation, she felt a strange calm.
Anna went to her room and when she saw that her belongings were all neatly arranged in cardboard boxes with bubble wrap for moving and ready, she came out of her room, stood in a corner and stared silently at the workers who were carefully moving the cardboard boxes; she was lost in thought. She thought about her mother, why she did not want to tell her anything?
"Anna, are you okay? Are you thinking?"
It was Peter's voice that had a little doubt and hesitation in it.
"No problem; I'm fine."
Peter, with doubt and hesitation, stuttering, said: "Anna, do you know a family named Moyes? I mean Scott Moyes."
Anna said with surprise and of course a little excitement: "I know. How come?"
"I was researching this family; I thought maybe Anna Dixon was their daughter."
Anna laughed and it seemed that this matter was strange for Peter who was talking seriously with Anna and did not expect this encounter; for this reason, Anna's smile disappeared.
Peter said: "I'm not kidding. I don't know what this research will lead to. That's why I'm angry."
"Researching them was a mistake for me and it wouldn't lead to anything from the beginning; but thanks for that."
"Why? Explain to me, Anna; my mind is out of order."
"Because Scott Moyes is your uncle and one of my relatives. Because I call them uncle and aunt and despite the fact that my middle name is Maria, I'm not their daughter. Thank you for doing this for me, Peter."
"That's impossible. Then why didn't you say anything when I showed you Mr. Moyes's picture and told you this name? Their family name is different. Then why was I unaware of this matter?"
Anna shrugged and said: "I don't know why you were unaware, but uncle cut off contact with us since that bad thing happened to him. I forgot to tell you; sorry." Anna wanted to continue her speech, but Peter interrupted her and said: "Since their children were killed; they cut off contact?"
"How did you find out?"
Peter winked and said: "Research as a writer."
"How long have you been a writer?"
"I was never a writer. I used to be a blogger who currently has only one visitor."
"Anyway, I'm sorry that the research on this matter was futile."
"This research was not futile, at least for me."
"So be it. But I found out everything about my parents. They died."
Peter said: "I'm sorry." Then to change the subject, he said: "Alaska was really beautiful; thank you for holding the ceremony there. I needed a trip. Anna, maybe you don't know, but you had a significant impact on my life and made me change."
Anna, who seemed to be lost in thought, said softly: "I don't know what to say because I changed too."
Peter said absent-mindedly: "Maybe I can see him soon." Peter said this without paying attention to Anna.
Anna, who did not know what to say in response, just smiled and went and got busy with something; she said to herself: "How much I miss my aunt whom I have never seen; I must go to see her one day."
