Chapter 6
"It's clear what the Lord is trying to say"
Recess time is only 20 minutes and I don't care if I don't eat or show up late at the next class. This is more important than those. It's amazing how I get so worked up about some dream.
But this isn't some dream.
"What is he trying to say?" I asked. We looked at each other in the eyes, I was puzzled. What could possibly be the message behind something as anticlimactic as that?
"He gave you the dream as a warning and as news to others. He is warning you that if you don't repent and turn to Him, you'll face what you have experienced in the dream." she answered. "Oh. At first, I actually was confused whether it was a prophecy or a message." I said.
"What you do with that dream will determine if it will be a message or a prophecy."
"How so?"
"Well, as I said, if you don't start turning from sin, that dream will be a prophecy. But if you use that dream for the glory of God, it will become a message." she said. I'm still confused. I mean I get the "turning from sin" part but the message? I didn't quite catch that. She noticed my puzzled look and she continued. "God wants to use you. He wants you to become His messenger. He wants you to spread the revelation that He gave you so that others will be warned and choose to repent."
I was speechless.
Who knew that someone as sinful as me would be chosen to continue the mission of Christ? It's an honor to be able to gain a dream from God and be chosen as His messenger! Out of all the people, He chose me, a sinner. Just wow. I was so eager to tell everyone my dream but I got conscious.
"If I tell people, they will think I'm crazy. Like one of those people standing on sidewalks holding a placard which contained a verse and speaking about some Bible verses. I don't want to be laughed at." I told her sadly. She moved her chair closer to me and held my right hand. She looked at me in the eyes "Do you think they wanted to be laughed at?" she asked. I shook my head indicating a no. She continued, "They also don't want to be laughed at but they took the risk of doing something as that for God's glory. Their inspiration is Jesus. Jesus is the Son of God yet few recognized Him. They mocked Him, whipped His back and nailed Him to the cross. They made Him wear a crown of thorns and carry the heavy cross Himself to where He was going to be nailed. He fell a few times but He got up. His motivation was us."
I knew about Jesus being nailed to a cross but I did not know the reason why. So I asked her why and she gave a smile and answered "It's because He loves us. He saved us from our sins. Actually, He endured all of the pain as man. He endured the excruciating pain to save us. He pushed forward even though it was so painful because He loves us. He thought of us in every moment of His suffering. Taking the risk of being laughed at just to spread His Word is an act of gratitude for what Jesus has done. Those people thought that to Jesus, we were worth dying for and that's why they took the risk of being shamed or laughed at because as long as they're doing it for the Lord, the effort they put into is not wasted."
I felt a tear flow down my cheek as I heard this. I was ashamed yet amazed. Who knew that Jesus, who was sinless, was willing to die for someone as sinful as me? I realized that I am in debt. I realized that words are not enough to thank Him for the things He has done. I want to bring glory to Him. I want people to hear of the good news that Jesus has finished everything on the cross. I want everyone to turn back from sin and start following God.
I want to be His messenger.
I want to be His warrior.
I don't care if I get laughed at or get labeled as crazy. I want to do this to please Him. I want to share what He has shown me.
I wiped the tear off my face and asked, "Where can I possibly start?"
She smiled and said "There's this youth service on Friday here in my classroom where we share and dig deep into the word of God. You can testify your dream to everyone before the preaching starts. Invite your classmates as well so they will know about the message God wants you to spread. After your class, head on over here. Besides, your dismissal time is at 4 p.m. and service usually starts at 4:15, depending on the time when the first service will be finished."
I gave her a bright smile and said, "Yes, I will! Thank you ma'am Jane for giving the interpretation I needed. Thank you for giving me the answers I wanted. Thank you!"
"It was not me. It was God. I am just an instrument." she said with a smile. "Now, go on. Recess will end in just 3 minutes. I am happy that you've chosen to make your dream a message. See you on Friday!" she said as she stood up. I stood up as well and went on my way, giving her a cheerful wave as I exited her classroom.
On my way back to our classroom, I couldn't help but smile. I was chosen. I was really chosen. It's an amazing feeling! I looked up and whispered "Thanks, God." My heartbeat became faster and I felt chills in my body after I said that. I guess it was His way of saying you're welcome.
I'm going to tell of the message on Friday. I'm ready. Everyone will hear of God's amazing work. I won't let the chance slip by.
There's no stopping me.
==============================================
Hiiiiii! Here is the big chapter! I updated in advance because I won't be able to open my laptop tomorrow morning. Hahaha! I hope you got inspired by this. Remember that God appreciates every effort we put into glorifying Him. He notices our deeds and never takes them for granted. It's better to please God than to please people.
Go ahead and spread the message of God to many! Do not fear any persecutions that you may encounter for God is with you!
I would like to dedicate this chapter to mariellefelio_28, the author of "From a Christian Girl's Perspective". Thank you for sharing your experiences through your book and thank you for taking the time to talk to me here in Wattpad and taking the time to read the book. You are amazing! God will reward your efforts a thousandfold! God Bless you!
I recommend that you read her book! It inspired me so I have no doubt that it will inspire you as well! :D
And as for all of you, thank you for patiently waiting for updates on this book even if it's twice a week. For all of you who are asking why I only update twice, fear not! The explanation is here AHHAHA.
So as I said, I'm a high school student. When I created this book, I went with writing 5 chapters first and publishing 1 chapter a week. Being a student means being busy with all of the homework and all the events happening at school. I only have the chance to write a chapter on weekends. I see to it that I have 5 drafts after I have published a chapter so that when the weeks come that I will be super busy, I won't delay an update and I can write on my free time. It pays to be 5 steps away so that there will be no chances of delay. I want the best for you my readers that is why I've decided to update twice a month and I never want to delay. I hope you understand. :D
I hope this story is making an impact in your life so far. I almost teared up as I was writing this chapter. As if God was whispering the words I should type. Amazing!
Thank you, guys! God Bless you :)
