Chapter 2

So why did I not ask Mrs. Smith about my dream?

Simple. I was not sure if I was ready to face the interpretation behind it and I don't even know if that dream was a message or something so at this moment, I wanted to find out.

I flipped the Bible to the book of Revelation and started where I left off. I tried to avoid conversation with people as I sink into what I'm reading. I'm determined to find some answers whether that dream was from the Lord or not.

As I was reading, I heard a familiar noise at the other side of the classroom. I lifted my head a little to sneak a peek. Those people were talking about me. Looking at me with judgmental looks, pointing tome as if they're watching some miracle. Then, one of them, Andy spoke up "Hey, Gray! Is that a Bible?" I nodded in response but refuse to lift my head and face him.

"Well, this is a miracle." a shadow appeared on the pages of the Bible. I looked up to see Vince standing in front me, looking down with a grin plastered on his face.

Vince.

"Why are we floating?"

"Yes! We're going to Heaven!"

"Gray! You're falling! Hold on!"

"Gray!"

I sad moments of the dream came crashing through my thoughts once more. I fought the urge to let go of a tear that was daring to come out. His expression changed as he stared at me. I need to tell him. I need to let it all out.

Without hesitation, I closed my Bible, grabbed his arm and yanked him outside the room. "Bro, what the-?" he shouted. I could've sworn I heard a curse there but I just didn't mind it. He needs to know of it. Of all of it.

I sat by the wall outside the room and gestured for him to sit in front of me. He did and he faced me, a puzzling look evident in his features. "What's up?" he asked. With that, I told him every single detail of what I had dreamed of. He showed a wide smile when I was telling him about the part where we were both floating to Heaven but his expression fell when I was at the part where I slipped and plunged into the deep darkness.

"It was just a dream. It won't happen." he tried to comfort me. I just shrugged. "Hey, it's all too bizarre to happen anyway." he pat my shoulder which I removed. "It's just different. It's like a message or something." I answered.

"Why don't you ask Mrs. Smith? You know she's a pastor. Surely, she must know of this."

"Well, I wanted to find out first if it was really from God."

"That's why you brought a Bible along?"

"Exactly."

Vince revealed a smile "Lucky for you, we don't have our next two subjects. Mrs. Burrow is attending a seminar and Mrs. Lanki is not present. So you have two hours to search for what you want to search for." he said, reassuring me. I stood up and thanked him before going back to the classroom to resume reading.

As I walked to my seat,I saw a horrible sight.

The BIble was at the floor. Some pages were folded. The others did not care for they were just going on with what they were doing. Usually, I would be just composed and pick it up but this time, it's different. It infuriated me. I felt my blood boil from all that rage, if that was even possible. Vince saw my reaction and braced himself for the worse.

"HOW DARE YOU JUST DROP THE BIBLE LIKE THAT!?" I shouted at the top of my lungs. Silence filled the air after that. I stomped all the way to where the Bible was and picked it up. "YOU DIDN'T EVEN CARE!" I examined the Bible and the next thing I saw made me snap for good. "YOU EVEN STEPPED ON IT! YOUR DISGUSTING SHOE MADE CONTACT WITH THIS VALUABLE BOOK! YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!" then I sat down, trying to blow off the shoe mark at the pack of the Bible.

Most of them didn't really care! After my anger parade, they just went on like nothing even happened. I swear, I hated them. I hate them so much. Besides being the grade conscious monsters they are, they're so insensitive.

I calmed myself and just continued reading. I was on chapter 4 by the way. Our Bible was an NKJV so I don't really understand some of the terms because the way it was written was like on those Medieval England times. It was full of -eths.

As I was reading on chapter six, I stopped at a verse. There it was. It was proof that my dream was something real.

"And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood."

-Revelation 6:12

A smile began to form on my face as I stared at that specific verse. It was all real. It was a sign. The shaking, the darkness, those were signs of a reality that is coming! I read on and I saw another verse on that specific chapter that sparked again.

"And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places."

-Revelation 6:14

It was amazing. That feeling of unexplained joy at the realization that my dream was not like the others had struck me. It was just unfathomable, it was as if my heart was jumping for joy as it beat faster at the sight of the verses I have just read. With that, I was more eager to read on.

=================================================

First class after recess was done and I was still reading. As I read, I couldn't help but feel as though I'm reading some fantasy novel. There was a dragon and swords and fighting, I was visualizing every scene that I read. I continued to read and at the next thing I saw, my smile faded and made me go to a serious state.

"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

-Revelation 21:8

I was reminded of the falling scene in my dream. Was it possible that I would end up in hell? I guess the whole "liars go to hell" was right. I wanted to cry because of what I saw. Was that a prophecy? Was I meant to fall? With that, I closed the Bible and put in my backpack. I didn't bother finishing it for I was torn at the last verse I saw.

I folded my arms on top of the armchair and sunk my head in it. I couldn't stop thinking about the words that I just read. Flames, torture,

Death.

I gave it a thought. Now that I knew that my dream was some sort of a reality waiting to happen, I wanted to know the meaning behind it. I thought of going to Mrs. Smith by lunch time to ask her but she may be busy at that time.

I'll ask her tomorrow after our Math class. I need to know the meaning of all of this.

I just have to.
================================================
SURPRIIIIIIISE.
Yes. I just published the second chapter hahaha. It's because I just can't wait for Friday! While I was at class awhile ago, I couldn't shake off the thought of publishing this chapter today.

What pushed me to publish it today was my friend's remarks. She told me she got hooked at the prologue and she just wanted to know more. So, yeah. I decided to publish it.

This will be the first and last time I'll publish out of schedule hahahaha. Don't worry! 3rd chapter will be out on Friday.

Till then, never seize to glorify God, okay?
God Bless you! ☺☺
