Chapter 26
Hospital,
Morning...
Third Person's POV
"Eri, I already told you not to run in hospital!"
"But I want to see Neechan!"
Eri puffed up her cheeks in protests and proceeded to quicken her pace to Izuku's wardroom, followed by Pops, Hisashi, Hari and surprisingly Kai. She left the men behind, prioritizing to see her adult cousin she had been worrying sick of.
Upon seeing the number of Izuku's room -- 157 -- happiness beamed on her cute face. The little child rushed to the wardroom. The door was slightly opened which didn't bother Eri. She pushed the door more wide so she could easily enter the room.
"Neechan--"
"S-Shouta, ah..."
Blushes creeped up to Izuku's cheeks as Shouta continued to pepper her neck with light kisses. Eri froze on her spot, watching the two adults in confusion. What are they doing? Why does her cousin seem like she is going to cry?
Feeling scared, tears pooled in her crimson eyes. The lovers were still not away of the little girl's existence. She ran out of the room, shiny liquid rolling down her cheek. The moment she saw her grandfather, uncle and the two top yakuzas, she let out cry of fear.
Eri clutched on Hisashi's leg, all scared and shaking. The ravenette widened his black eyes in shock. "Eri sweetie, what is the matter?" He picked up the trembling girl. She sobbed in his chest.
"T-There is a stranger in Neechan's bedroom... He made her c-cry... I'm scared..."
Eri informed nervously, her hand gripping the shirt of her uncle. Pops, Hari and Kai were taken aback by her statement. "That man is so dead." Impatient, Hari stomped toward Izuku's wardroom.
Hisashi, who had an idea of who the man was, started panicking. "Wait, Hari! You got it wrong-" sadly, he failed to stop the young Yakuza from going forward. The father facepalmed.
"...Hisashi, why are you not..."
"Dad, I know who the man is..."
Sighing, the three men walked closer and closer to the young heroine's bedroom. There, he saw Hari sitting on the ground all tied up--
"...Hari?!" Kai yelled his name due to shock. Pops furrowed his brows together defeatedly while Hisashi's eyes twitched. Hari turned to them, dark silver eyes pleading for help.
"...I should not have walked in..."
Hari murmured to himself, regretting his impulsive behaviour. Kai was about to assist his good friend when just at the right moment, Shouta strolled out of the room. He was radiating a dangerous aura around him.
"You dare to approach me with a gun while I was having a moment with my lover..." His hair started floating in the air, irises glowing red murderously. Hari felt shivers running down his spine. He is so dead. He is going to hell. He is--
"Aizawa-kun?"
Hisashi said his name, gaining the said man's attention. Shouta turned to him. His face was covered with surprise. "Hisashi-san.." he mumbled, his gaze locked on his girlfriend's father. Spotting the girl and the other two men behind him, Shouta cancelled his Erasure.
"I apologize in this man's stead. He appeared to misunderstand the situation." Hisashi bowed down apologetically. Eri, hearing his apology, lifted her head up from his chest. She stared at Shouta.
"...Neechan's boyfriend...?"
Eri asked curiously. Shouta silently nodded his head. He was in a stupefied state inside. He couldn't believe Izuku's grandfather, cousin and her two childhood friends would come to visit her at once.
"Are you here to visit Izuku?" Shouta began a conversation.
"Yes. We were told by the cops that we are allowed to visit her. So we go to the hospital immediately."
"...me too."
"I couldn't wait any longer... I was very worried of my daughter."
"Come in and see her then."
Shouta opened the door back before releasing Hari from his capture gear. The arrow-headed man huffed in relief. Kai went to check on his condition, concerned that he would sustain any injury or damage from the hero's attack.
Eri jumped off from Hisashi and stormed into the wardroom. Izuku smiled widely upon seeing the precious unicorn child.
"Neechan!"
"Eri!"
Eri climbed onto the hospital bed swiftly and attacked Izuku with a bear hug. A huge smile decorated her feature, the brightest smile she ever had. The greenette gladly hugged her back.
"Neechan, I miss you so much!"
"I miss you too, Eri... Sorry for worrying you."
The two girls treasured this touching moment, letthing themselves enjoying the loving hug. The rest of the visitors then entered the room. Their hearts melted at the heartwarming sight. Heck, even Kai felt different when he saw this side...of Izuku...he hadn't seen in years.
No, more exact, he blinded his own eyes to avoid seeing Izuku's kind, bright personality. Refusing to accept her in his life ever since he learnt her dream. Her dream that disgusted him. That turned him into a completely different person. Harsh, mean, insensitive. Which later he regretted his action.
His immaturity had caused them to drift apart thus severing their once seemingly everlasting friendship. The most crucial moment in their life. One that was tough to face, bitter to swallow.
Noticing him, Izuku shifted her gaze to her ex-childhood friend. Her heart ached suddenly. She looked away, averting her emerald eyes from meeting his.
"Izuku..."
Pops, understanding the tension between his successor and his granddaughter, uttered Izuku's name softly. Kai also quietly darted his gaze, slowly turning his heels. "I am in need to use the restroom. I will excuse myself from here." With that, the brunette exited the wardroom with a look of anguish. Hari, didn't want the brown-haired man to be drowned in indiscretion, tailed him from behind.
Hisashi was perplexed. The two yakuzas were acting strangely. But knowing them, he knew they could solve their problems by themselves. So he focused his attention on his one and only daughter.
"Izuku, how are you feeling now, dear daughter? Do you need anything?"
"Oh, Dad. I'm all better now. I guess Recovery Girl did some pretty strong healing on me."
Izuku laughed to hide her the bitterness within her. Seeing Kai after she just woke up from her sleep wasn't a gratifying experience. Her smile died down, laughter vanished.
Shouta just watched the happy family interacting with each other from behind , not intending to interrupt the inestimable moment. His mind wondered somewhere else, thinking of Hari's and Kai's behaviour earlier.
' So they are Izuku's childhood friends... As she said, that Kai seemed displease with her. Then why did he bother to visit Izu?' Shouta didn't really want to think any of the complexity. He shook off the thoughts, fixing his gaze on the Midoriya family.
' I'm not him so I won't know how he thinks or feels. I just hope he could end the feud and restart his friendship with Izuku...' Shouta shut his eyes close.
