Chapter Twenty Six
WE SPEND THE WEEKEND lazing around the house or on the beach when the heat allowed us too.
Apart from two cabinets filled with movies, from thrillers to comedy, there is also a game room. With a pool(sneaker) table, some new TV games, you know PlayStation and shit, to old TV games.
There has been no repeated of what happened on the Saturday morning between Stephen and me. In fact, he's been doing his super best to keep his distance. I feel like he's rejecting me.
I wonder what's going to happen tomorrow? Tomorrow is the day, I'm turning eighteen!
Someone pounded down the stairs breaking my concentration. From beneath my lashes I glanced up following Stephen with my eyes. He walked into the kitchen opening the fridge.
He's dressed in dark blue jeans that are slightly ripped at his knees. His chest is hidden from view, but not his arms. No, his strong muscular tattooed arms are on full display. Stephen is wearing a grey muscle shirt.
I glanced down at the book on my lap biting my lip. Why is he ignoring me?
"Hey!"
I glanced up frowning at him.
"Get some shoes." Stephen ordered softly nodding to my bare feet.
"Why?"
He smirked taking a step closer and leaning slightly over me. "Because, Alia, we are going to the mall."
I perked up. We haven't been into town since we got here.
"Okay!" Quickly placing the book aside I raced up the stairs and into my room.
I pulled on a pair of ballet flats and grabbed my phone and wallet. Stephen stood by the front door throwing his keys around in his hands.
"I'm ready." I glanced up at him. "Is Kate and Nathan coming?"
"They will meet us at the mall once they finish their swim." He opened the door stepping aside for me to exit first.
Walking down the porch I made my way over to the truck waiting for him to unlock it.
"We're taking the car." Stephen said pointing to a black Audi parked next to it.
"Why?" I pouted crossings my arms over my chest. "I wanna drive in the truck."
"Alia, get in the car."
Shaking my head I leaned against the door staring off into the distance.
"Baby, if you want me to treat you like a child I will." He walked towards me stopping in front of me. "Get in the car Alia."
"Do you want me to call you daddy too?"
"Jesus." He ran a hand down his face. "For someone so innocent you sure have a dirty mind."
My breathing hitch when he stepped forward pressing his body against mine. His face lowered nose brushing mine as he spoke.
"Do you want to call me daddy when I fuck you?" Stephen asked softly lowering his lips to my neck. "When I pound my dick into that tight little pussy of yours?"
I moaned my muscles clenching as the images he spoke of filled my head. He bit down at the crook of my neck placing his hands on my hips.
My body arched against his, hands gripping his biceps as he started sucking on the spot he bit.
"You want that?" He pulled back looking down at me. "Mm?"
I nod, my brain had turned to mush the first time his lips trailed down my neck. Nothing else mattered apart from him, his body pressed against mine.
"I'll be all yours tomorrow, but for now get in the car Alia."

THE PLACE IS PACKED. It took us about half an hour to find a parking space. Getting out of the car I glanced around starting to feel a little uncomfortable.
I'm only dressed in some jean shorts and a white crop top. The other girls are dressed in their bikini's showing off their toned bodies.
"Personally I think you look sexier than them." Stephen said softly making my face heat.
It's freaky how he always seems to be able to read my mind. Giving him a small smile I turned to face the mall. It looks huge from here, what does it look like from inside?
Stephen slipped his hand into mine leading us through the cars to the entrance. The cool air from the air-conditioning welcomed us as soon as we stepped through the door.
"So, what are we looking for?" I asked softly as we walked past a few shops.
Stephen shrugged glancing down at me. "Whatever you want."
I got myself some graphic T-shirts, some new shorts and that's about all I had.
Stephen kissed my forehead walking off to the back of the shop. Scanning the racks of clothes I found nothing interesting. I glanced up my eyes landing on Stephen talking to one of the shop assistants.
Frowning I walked closer reaching them just as the girl walked away. My eyes caught his.
"You're not buying anything?"
I shook my head eyes dropping to his hands. "You're buying that?"
"Mm." He held it up smiling at me. "This is for you."
My cheeks heated. I shook my head at him eyes narrowing. "You're not buying me a bikini."
"Why not?" His eyes filled with amusement. "Am I not allowed to buy my sexy girlfriend a bikini?"
"No, because it would be a waste of your money." I crossed my arms over my chest. "I won't wear it."
No matter how hard I tried I couldn't get him to leave it. So in the end Stephen won and he got me the bikini. We walked through a few more shops stopping at the food court.
"Hungry?"
"Not really." I leaned against the pillar placing the bags down.
Looking up, my eyes locked with his. He smiled leaning down to capture my lips. I instantly melted against him, hand gripping his sides.
"Again, you're in public!"
We broke apart sucking in a deep breath before turning our attention to the intruders. Kate stood there with her arms crossed over her chest. Her eyes are narrowed on me, Nathan stood next to her a smug smirk on his lips.
"I'm well aware that we are in public." Stephen wrapped an arm around my waist pulling me against him.
"Good." Kate stepped forward grabbing hold of my arm. "Now if you'll excuse us, we are gonna have some girl time."
My eyes widened mouth opening to stop her, but she has already started walking. I glanced over my shoulder at the guys. Stephen only winked at me before walking off with his brother.
"I can't believe you're dating him." She broke the silence frowning at me.
"What's so hard to believe in that?" I stopped pulling a dress from the rack to study it.
Kate took the dress from me hanging it back before pulling me along.
"You're sweet, shy and you were innocent." She frowned. "He's older, more experienced and a maniac."
We exit the shop passing a few more. Kate said nothing else making me frown. I've heard people in town talk about him, they had nothing nice to say. Yet, I don't understand, he's only ever been caring and nice to me.
"That's not true."
Kate snorted stopping, I turned to face her in confusion. "You only see what he wants you to see Alia."
"Kate-"
"Do you know he did drugs?" She instantly silenced me. "Do you know he killed a man and that his actions almost got him arrested? He was only suspended. Ask yourself this Alia, what do you really know about him?"
My eyes dropped from hers. I didn't know that, but surely he would have told me that himself? Okay, so we barely know each other, but isn't that how you grow closer? By talking and learning more about each other as time goes by?
"Look, Alia I'm not trying to break you up or anything. I've seen how happy you are, but I don't want to see you get hurt. This is our last year of school Alia, we have to give it our best. Not worry about boys and all that shit."
I gave her a small smile but her words kept repeating in my head. I have to worry about the tests and shit not about guys, but the thought of not being with Stephen makes my heart ache.
The light of the day had faded, after our talk, I saw no use in putting up a smile and acting like it never happened. He killed a man, I'm sure he had a good reason for killing him.
What about the drugs? The small voice in my head whispered.
"What do you think about this?" Kate ask softly holding a black tight dress in front of her.
"It looks good." I muttered turning to look at the racks next to me.
"You need to find a dress."
"For what?" I frowned pulling out my phone to check the time.
"For tonight, we are going clubbing." She held out another dress glancing between the two. "Didn't Stephen tell you."
"No." I paused turning to face her completely. "I'm not going."
I didn't give her a chance to say anything else. I walked off leaving her to decide which dress to choose. I'm a party pooper. What teenager says no to a night out at a club?
I pulled out my phone pulling up Stephen's contact.
Are you done?
He replied a few minutes later.
Almost. What's wrong?
Biting my lip my fingers hovered over the keypad. Talking over the phone about this is definitely not an option.
I want to go home, I have a headache.
Kate passed me walking over to the counter to pay for the black dress. I followed silently behind her.
I'll meet you at the car in five?
Sure.
Turning to Kate I waited until she's finished before speaking. "Stephen and I are done so we'll meet you at the house."
"Okay, see ya!" Giving me a fast hug she walked off, the plastic bag swinging back and forth.
Shaking my head I turned tracing the way we came. A few minutes later I found the entrance we used. The sun had faded slightly, dark clouds rolling in from the horizon. I sigh as the wind blew against my face, the heat had slightly faded.
I headed towards the car. I'm a few feet away when someone bumped into me. I cried out my hands and knee scrapping painfully against the tarmac.
"Shit, I'm sorry."
Hands grabbed my arms pulling me up before I could react. I bit my lip glancing up to see a tall man hovering beside me.
"I'm okay." I tried to pull back but his hands tightened.
"You're bleeding, let me help you clean it up." He pulled me along as he spoke making me stumble.
"I'm fine!" Tears started filling my eyes as his hold only tightened.
There's not so many people around, barely anyone. Someone help me! I glanced around fanatically trying to find someone that will help me. Where are the security guards?
"Hey! Let her go!"
The voice penetrated my panic filled mind. The man's hold tightened, I dug my feet into the ground using my weight to slow his movements.
"I said let her go!" Stephen appeared at my side.
Before I could blink he had punched the man making his hands drop from my arms. I stumbled backwards watching with wide eyes as Stephen continued to punch him. Blood started to seep into the floor but he didn't seem to see it.
I don't know how much later, but suddenly Nathan was there pulling him of the man. Kate wrapped her arms around me trying to get me back as two more men arrived.
I watched through blurry eyes as they talked. Nathan said something to Stephen making his head snap up to me. The moment our eyes locked I dropped mine. He scares me.
For the first time since I met Stephen Daniels, I'm scared of him.
