This one shot was posted alone before, but I decided to put everything togther as I plan to write more stories about the Doctor.

“Quite right too,” he said softly, “and I suppose if this is my last chance to say it… Rose Tyler…” and he vanished in front of her eyes. One second ago he was right there with his sad smile, his lonely eyes looking at her, his gorgeous face just a few centimeters away, and now he was not there anymore. He was never going to be there.

Rose felt as the last piece of her heart fell apart. Nothing was going to be the same anymore, nothing would feel the same again, nothing would look the same again. Her doctor was not going to be with her anymore. How was she supposed to live with that? It was impossible, inconceivable! She needed him to keep on breathing, to keep on living. He had become in her everything, without him her life was empty; she didn’t have a soul anymore.

She turned around and ran towards her mum who was running as well. Rose found shelter in her arms and broke out in tears. She was feeling as if someone had ripped her heart and was jumping on it just to make sure it was going to be useless after that.

“He left me— he left me,” she cried in her mum’s shoulder, hugging her as if her life depended on that, tears were rolling on her cheeks, burning her skin. “I’ve lost him, mum— I’ve lost him forever.”

“Shh, Rose, everything’s gonna be fine, you’ll see that,” her mum told her, but that was futile because Rose knew it better: nothing was going to be the same. Not without her doctor.

“No, mum, no. I can’t live without him, don’t you understand? I-need-him,” she mumbled, the tears were drowning her and she could hardly breath. She needed her heart but that muscle was not there in her chest anymore; it had vanished with him.

“Oh, Rose!” Jackie cried with her, hugging her even thither.

“I can’t— I can’t—” she whispered trying to let her chaotic thoughts to go out. “I won’t give up. I won’t let him to leave me. No,” she added more determined. Her mind was making plans; she was going to get him back at any cost. “I’m gonna find him and I won’t let him go again. Never. I made a promise, I said I was going to stay with him forever and that’s what I’m going to do. I’ll never give up. I’ll come back to him,” she promised herself and then she looked at the sky, whispering the same words, extending her promise, expecting it would reach her doctor.
