She starts to build her walls back which she has let down. Maybe her mistake was to think she has done her share of grief and sorrow. She stands from her position, shaking as she takes a step back only for his sister to hold her arm.

She tries to push his sister's hand away when her husband did that for her.

"What are you saying? What are you even doing here?" He snapped

"What am I doing here? Did you forget this is my house too? About what I am saying this woman who is acting behind is a really a great actor. She destroyed someone's house for her fame". His sister yelled

"N-No". She cried as she push herself back to the wall to block everything

You did this.

"No".

A woman like you is the reason why no one respects women.

"Stop".

Don't you have any shame? You destroyed an innocent man. His family. You should die.

"Arzu". He said shaking her out of her state and she pushes his hand away from her shoulder wide eyes

"Please. Please. Don't touch me. Please". She cried, "It wasn't me. It wasn't me. You have to trust me, Rabee. I didn't do it. I didn't do anything". She pleaded

"You are really great to be in your role. You destroyed that man's house like you destroyed my house. It looks like you are always the reason for ruining someone's happiness". His sister said trying to reach her when her husband push her back

"Stay where you are. If you think I will let you hurt my wife. You are wrong. I will throw you out if I have to I won't let you do anything more". He warned

He steps closer to her only for her to move away as she tries to shield her face. She tries her best to hide in herself. He removes his jacket placing it over her head as she finds a little comfort by hiding in it. She tries to breathe as he tries to bring her breathing back to normal.

"No one will hurt you. I promise". He assured

Look. This is her. This is her video.

"It wasn't me. It wasn't me. I wasn't in the picture. That girl was not me". She cried as she clutch her chest trying to ease the pain, "It wasn't me. I didn't do anything. It wasn't me".

"Listen to me. Arzu, listen to me, please".

"Don't say my name. Please. Not my name. Arzu is not my name. It's not my name. It's not me. Where is my face covered? Where is it? I can't be seen. They will come. They will see. They will kill me. I need it. Where is it?"

"Arzu". He yelled trying to shake her, "No one can hurt you".

She moves her tear-filled eyes to him, "But they did". She pauses taking the jacket off her face and pointing to the scar as she laughs dryly, "They already did". She shouted, "I tried. I tried everything to tell them I didn't do it. They came into my house. My room. They dragged me out". She cried, "He dragged me out by my hair I tried to fight. I-I pleaded. It hurt. It hurts so bad". She places her hand over her ear, "They didn't hear. No one helped me. They all-they-I- I- they said- they said they will remove- remove my-Rabee". She cried as the pain intensifies, "Ya Allah, Ya Allah, madad. It hurts. It hurts. I can't do this, Rabee. Help me, please".

He heard a knocking on his door and his sister opened the door while he tries to find a way to comfort his wife yet he wasn't enough. She was so far in her head that he can't reach her.

"Bhai". He heard his sister say yet he didn't move his eyes watching as she begged their Lord for help, "This officer here said he knows her".

He turns his head towards the officer who runs to their side with something in her hand. She injected it into his wife's arm and in a second she was unconscious. He immediately hold her body which was still shaking in his arms trying to hide her away or take a little of her pain. Anything he could do.

"Sometimes she loses her way". The officer signs (she is mute and he understands sign language), "You want to put her to bed?"

He shakes his head not able to say anything.

"I am officer Raina". She explains, "I am guessing something triggered her past?" Her eyes turn to his sister, "Or someone".

"Her name. My sister recognises her-".

"Right. And your sister must have started the usual accusations". Raina said unamused, "First of all, you have no right to be a prosecutor of people's lives that are not yours". She snapped at his sister and it was good they both learned sign language at young age, "Just your skin is too thick to be affected by your wrongs. And blind to not acknowledge them. Some people know they have sinned and are paying for them. That doesn't give you or anyone rights to add to it". She pauses, "Get out of the house.  I wish to speak with Rabee and Arzu".

He looks at his wife's unconscious body as she whimpers every once in a while.

"She wasn't lying". Officer Raina signs

"I know. I believe her. I don't care. I just wanted her to listen to me. To speak to me. To just breathe".

Raina sighs, "It's not that simple. She was seventeen".

"Do you think she wants you to speak her tale?"

Raina smiles tightly, "I wasn't here to speak her say. I was here because she told me she got married and I wanted to see who you were. Of course, I did the digging into the system to find what you do, the criminal offence or anything. But, I wanted to see what wasn't in the system".

"You know my wife?"

"For a few years. You can say we met on an unfaithful day. I would have loved it if we can meet in a better way".

His wife whimper again before she opens her eyes. She blinks a few times as he helps her sit, bringing her a glass of water to drink.

"Raina?" She asked as tears brimmed in her eyes and she launches into the officer's arms, "I am so scared again. Do I have to run? They know about me, don't they?"

After Raina manage to console her the way her doctor told her in the session she took for a year. They all sit in silence.

"I-I was an influencer". She chuckles dryly, "Or that I believe I was. I did everything. Tiktok, Reels, Transformation video. Anything that can bring me an audience. I was pushed into popularity when someone filmed me playing with some kids and thought I was good to work in an advertisement". She sighs, "I was ten years old so naturally my parents decided that path for me. They changed my appearance, my background, history, and profile everything was just something I wasn't. They opened my social media accounts and I started to enjoy the popularity. I used to read through all the comments for hours".

"I had everything. Popularity, recognition, money, love or so I believed. I wanted to do something more because I wasn't satisfied with where I was and what I had. I wasn't gaining more fame. I was stuck in a middle. Everyone around was climbing some sort of ladder. I was just where I started or where I reached". She took a deep breath, "Anyways, this man Ayub was a director for a very prominent company and the script he brought me was promising. Everyone knew it will be successful and every role will bring ultimate responses".

"I-I signed the deal. I started working on his film and I was the first influencer/blogger to get that role". She fidget with her fingers, biting down hard on her lips, "It was jokes which were not appropriate but everyone in the industry told me it was something normal. Then, it will be on my look. To remove some clothing. To wear one type of clothes, hair, or makeup. To lose weight and he would sit close to me to explain the script I know by heart".

Raina hold her hand, nodding, "It was a week before my eighteen birthday. I was planning a full event to invite everyone I know to celebrate. I quit school at this point and w-was engaged t-o- Waseem". She wince not even looking at her husband, "I came back after deciding the venue for my birthday, and the next day when I open my phone. There were videos and videos on pages saying how I am a homewrecker. The video was inappropriate actions with Ayub and some women. It wasn't me. Her hair, body and dressing were all different from mine. People I don't even know even my colleague all shared and criticised me. Some even made more stories about me. People who wanted my fame did too. Everyone did. The worse-". She blinks her tears, "My family. They pushed, slapped and yelled at me for being such a dirty woman. I tried. I tried everything. Posting on my Instagram. Speaking to Ayub and his family. No one believed me. And everyone blamed me. No one asked why Ayub was there. Why he was doing such a thing. Even if I was involved I was underage. Why was I with him? B-But no one listened".

"After a week some men broke into my house. I was so scared, Rabee. I was so so scared. I tried calling the police when they were breaking down my door. I screamed for my parents. I screamed for help. It was like- Rabee, it was like everyone was deaf. Like they can't hear me. Like I was not even human". She cried, as she punch her chest to ease the tightness, "I-The man said that I earn by selling myself so he will ruin my face. He said then I can't do this dirty work anymore. There was so much wrong in his words. The fact that he feels entitled to do that to me in front of a whole crowd. The fact that he thinks a woman with any sort of mark on her face is worthless. Raina was the one who saved me. I don't know how but somehow the call I made reached her and she rescued me. She had to hide me from everyone so after a few hospital visits and psychotherapy because they broke my leg she shifted me here and asked her friend to give me a job".

She didn't even move the whole time after she was done speaking. Raina excused herself after advising Rabee about the injection in case she is not under control. She didn't move a muscle when she felt his body coming closer to him. She wasn't scared of him. She can't be scared of him. She knows trust when she sees it. Her earlier fear was only because she went too far in her head.

"Arzu". He said softly, not sure if he can hold her hands, "Look at me, please".

She held her breath, turning to look at him and a small smile appear on his face, "Do you mind if I hold your hand?"

"You want to hold my hand?"

"I love holding your hand, Arzu".

She blushes nodding.

He took a deep breath, holding her hand, "I know you expect me to lash out. I know and I know it is not exactly what you think. Anyone who went through something as horrible as you will think that. I know and I am not mad at you in any sense. For thinking, pushing or expecting something bad from me, Arzu". He smiles softly, looking at their hand, "I never would have asked to reveal your past. It is something between you and our Lord. I have no right to ask you of that, I am sorry. I only needed to know so I can protect you better. I only wanted to know so I can work to find a way for you to start living and doing everything you want to. Without fear. That was all I ever wanted".

"You trust me?"

"Arzu". He said almost desperately, "You do realize that I have no right to judge you, right? I have no right to not trust you. You allowed me to be a part of your life. Our Lord binds us in a pure bond. A bond that states you are someone I need to stand by, trust, love, cherish and respect throughout my life. A bond that states I have no right to know about your past or judge you on it. A bond that means I am to guide you if you are in the wrong when you are with me. Not before. Whatever you did has nothing to do with me. What is, that I protect you from those who want to hurt you. Do you understand me?"

"Why?" She cried, "Why didn't anyone else believe me? M-My parent stood watching when I-I was being dragged, Rabee. They stood there".

"Money, fame or anything that comes before time can do that. They probably didn't want to stop receiving money and standing by your side meant a long fight against everyone and everything".

She remembers her grandma's words and she smiles, "My grandma always said the same thing. To not have things before it's my time".

He sits in front of her, with their hand in her lap, "What else did she say?"

"She said Waseem wasn't true love". She frowns, "She never liked him".

He did feel a twig at the mention of that man. But it wasn't because he was jealous or hurt that she has someone when he never had anyone before her. It was simply because his wife got her in the matter.

"He was on your side?"

He uses his thumb to wipe her tears as she spoke, "No. I tried calling him. He never answered and then he blocked me. Later, he said he was deeply hurt by what I did to him on social media and played victim".

Ok. He has one name of the man he needs to kill. He nodded to himself planning a full plan on it.

"Was I wrong?"

He frowns, "Wrong?"

"Everyone told me it was me. I did it. It was all my fault. My clothes, age and whatnot".

"That's trash a bunch of trashcans can say. It's not true. You know it. Even when I say it you need to find an answer yourself because we can't find peace unless we find an acceptable answer".

She nodded.

"What else did your grandma speak of?" He asked interested and wanting to know where her grandma was in all of this

"She spoke about a lot of things. A few things went over my head". She giggles and he smiles, "She spoke so much about true love".

"What about it?"

"She said it will be a person who...". She pauses as she thought and when the realization hit her it made her eye widen and her heart flutter, "You".

He was her true love.
