27.5:"Layers of life".
Before, you get into it. This story was super hard to write and I absolutely love writing it at the same time. I remember how I just wanted to be free to finish it's chapter and each detail needed.
I hope you enjoy its ending and do tell me about it.
Thank you.

Death.
It's a continuous process that always surrounds all of us but somehow we stay oblivious of it. The day we were born thousands died at the same moment.
The moment we started to understand the world around us we were taught the concept of death.
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un.
Truly to Allah we belong and truly we will return to him.
It will come to those who live no matter what.
When?. No one knows and that uncertainty should make us think of death at every single action we do.
The world is manipulating.
It traps us into thinking we are not going to die soon and that our sins can be washed later.
What if we never have that later in the first place?.
She has witnessed death not once but twice from real close and her father dying in front of her eyes when his body was also taken away from her to not even say her proper goodbyes. Death doesn't affect her because she never forgets it.
It did hurt when she realised she had no idea what his real name was and no way to find his family.
He had cancer.
He never once said a thing about it due to which they cannot keep his body long because of the decaying. She had no idea even if she tries she can ever get anything.
So, she did what his family should have done.
She fulfilled his last wish to sell his taxi and give the money in an orphanage.
Her heart still breaks at knowing there would be no one who can guide her now. But he already helped her for life and she knows it. Like his reason to be in her life was completed and her reasons to her in his was completed.
Every single person has a reason to be in our lives some are there for us to be tested while some are there to guide us through life.
He was her light.
She was doing so wrong and she realised that.
She prayed for him to not be punished in the end but he always said that his Lord should punish him because he had looked down on his beloved being (woman) who he had asked repeatedly in clear words to be placed higher.
He had insulted her and he never forgave himself maybe that's why he had asked her to forgive everyone because that was a way to also forgive ourselves for our mistakes. We learn to forgive ourselves by forgiving others.
"Ginger, que voulez-vous dire (what do you mean)?". She asked confused
"They know about your marriage". Ginger explained
"Doesn't matter". She replied shortly
"You know you broke my heart?". She heard the cringe-worthy voice of Rizwan
"Who's that?". Ginger asked on the call
"Idiot". She replied to Ginger taking steps down the last steps of stairs, "Please handle this and let me know where the procedure is at the moment".
"Will do, my love". Ginger said happily," Also his heart is already broken so break his bone too. See you".
She shakes her head ending the call to find the idiot still following her. She decided to ignore him walking in the lounge opening her iPad.
These past few days she was busy in funeral with Bilal and his mother who helped her it seem like everyone had started to camp in this house.
Her mother sons are always here waiting for an opportunity to speak to her which Bilal had skillfully stopped. Her Mumtaz Mami and her son is after her since long always saying something they want but since she was busy she did really pay much mind to it.
She heard her phone rings as she sits down on the couch looking down she finds Ginger update on the visa process of his mother.
"It's done". The text read making her sigh in relief
"Beautiful are you listening?". He said holding her hand suddenly that she wasn't even ready
Her mind was too occupied to realise that he was too close to her so much that only Bilal was allowed for.
"What is this?". Bilal's voice boomed through the house
Before she can comprehend much she is ripped away from him into Bilal comforting hold that she likes. Her heart thunders against her chest at the fear of possibilities that this one unintentionally mistake can lead to.
"Bilal I-". She started
"She was the one who asked me". He said interpreting her words
She frowns and her heartbeat in so many fears, "No, he-".
"Shut up. I always knew a woman who lived in a foreign country can never stay with one man. They are always after men seducing them. They are famous for it. The way you are dressing-". He started
Bilal's chest burned in a strange fire that takes over his any sense of patience. No, he had no patience when the woman in this is his wife.
His respect and his love.
There was no patience for those who bad-mouth his woman.
"How dare you?". He said punching him squarely making him fall on the ground as he sits on top of him hitting him, "How dare you insult her like that?. I trust her more than my own life to be manipulated by a bastard like you. You have no shame or honour that a man should have. You went after your own cousin wife and then proceed to accuse her of your doing".
"Leave him". His mamo said coming inside
Everyone came.
He didn't stop.
"Bilal". She said loudly after she had enough
He stops at once.
"He isn't worth it. None of them are". She said softly
"You are worth it. You don't deserve this continuous shit. Pack your bags we are leaving right this moment". He said moving away from his bloody body taking her hand in his
"What are you talking about?. What leaving?". His nana asked
"Only this house walls are up high but inside it's just hollow. I think these walls were built high so the dirt can be hidden from the eyes of people outside". He said looking at his Nana he went to grab his mother hand who was shaking her head scared but he held her hand tightly, "My father died and you made my mother your personal property that you treated how you wanted. You only cared for me and Samia because we were your son children but what about his wife who made it possible?. You never learned how to respect, treat and teach woman. You hide your daughter deeds- you disrespected the women who never deserved it. I will no longer stay in his house where no one seems to have values. I will take my mother and wife with me to build a house of our own with values where I teach my children the very first important lesson of respecting the woman no matter what and true honour of being a man".
"No, please-". Her Nani cried
"We are all leaving". He declared
*******
They sit in their first-class seats after a long goodbye.
It wasn't really a goodbye.
Their grandparents were begging them not to leave. Her Mamo seems broken too but he didn't speak as usual.
"So tell me why haven't you accepted me?". Bilal asked holding her hand in his feeling the warmth going straight to his heart
"Who said I didn't?". She asked confused
"Tell me so I can make it right". He insisted
"I-I don't know". She said softly
"You don't know how to say?". He asked and she nodded
"I don't know how to say so you are not offended". She replied
He laughs the most contagious laugh, "Since when did you start to care about offending people?".
"I care about offended those who I care for". She replied
"Being offended is such an easy emotion for human nowadays, right?". He said tucking a strand of her hair away looking deep in her mesmerising eyes, "The people who care and understand you don't get offended".
She sighs, "I will tell you later".
He nodded not pushing it beyond understanding that she needs time.

One month later:
It's been a month.
They all took their time to settle in Paris.
They bought a comfortable house together to build a house of their own in it.
All the shifting and everything was exhausting but they did it finally. She found that the day she bumped into him he was here to buy his own hotel to start his business with his friend who already owns a hotel.
It is a bumpy road but money never bothered them.
She sits with the coffee in her hand looking at him working with dedication to build the small garden behind their house.
He had so much dedication for everything.
"What's wrong, beta?". His mother asked softly placing a hand on her shoulder
"Nothing's wrong". She replied
"I heard you both talking in an aeroplane". His mother said, "So tell me what's stopping you?".
She sighs, "He left me".
His mother shakes her head, "He never did. He never left you. He was forced by your Grandparents".
"What do you mean?". She asked confused
"They found that Bilal was keeping you going. They didn't wanted their grandson associating with you. They send him away here to get him away from you". She explained then sniffs, "He never forgot you. He cried for days when he found he was going to leave you alone he begged me to stop this but I had no power. They sent him away until he was 18 years old and the minute he turned 18 he took the first flight back home running to your room to find you. I remember watching him running all over the house to find you until I-I told him you were gone. That look on his face told me he was broken. He never was the same, he smiled less, he talked less and stayed away from the house. He chooses Paris as his dream place to live at".
His mother cried remembering his son broken heart. She prayed for years to send his love back so he can live again. She finds him more relaxed now just tense a little. The peace was on his face of knowing he has his love in his hands.
She nodded understanding now. Even Baba told her that Bilal was hers. He said couples are made in heaven and Bilal was hers. Her to love, cherish and care for. He wanted her to build her home.
His mother walks away to sleep for some time while she still stays there watching him intently deep in thoughts.
"Why did you choose Paris?". He asked sitting beside her sweat dripping off him and his body ache from all the work
He wanted to make this garden for her because he knows she loves flowers. He used to save his pocket money and skip lunch just to but her some of them.
He wanted her to be surrounded by them all the time and not just a few but a lot of them.
"Because you were here". She said looking in his eyes deeply, "Because maybe somewhere in my heart when I had a chance to escape my first thought was to a place you went to. The place I wanted to go behind you. Maybe I came here searching for you hoping that maybe someday I will find you". She pauses finding the emotions reflecting in his eyes, "Maybe all my maybe are not maybe but plain truth".
His heart thunders against his chest like never before. It felt like after ages someone lifted the weight that was crushing down on the chest and he was in to be in a desert by himself.
She was his escape from that place.
Just as his lips descended on her their lips moulded perfectly like they were made for each other. Their heart at the same rhythm and the anticipation of knowing each other deeper and deeper.
She realised he was the water for her thirst all these years. He was the one who fulfils, satisfied and completed her.
Together they completed one another.
*******
5 years later:
"To who will you give this award to?". The anchor asked
"To the women sitting in front of the television in my home with their eyes stuck on the screen waiting for me to stand at this huge platform". He said smiling looking at the camera, "To my mother who had brought me in this world and never let me get lost in the world, to teach me the beautiful values and to love and cherish the people I love. To the woman of my children and my beautiful amazing woman who had showed me how strong a woman can be when she wants to be, that she cannot be put down by anyone else she wanted to be put down, that a woman who can bear the pain of bringing my equally beautiful children in the world showing me a different world, to her who taught me how to love. And lastly, my amazing daughter who came into this world as my first child blessing me with the honour of being a father of a daughter and teaching me how to be soft when needed. To my son, who I am sure is sleeping in my wife lap that one day I can make you a human, people are not scared of and the one who protect the people around him. To the one who is not a threat to the society or its people but comfort to them".
"I am so happy". His mother cried holding their daughter- Hafsa
She smiles kissing her son forehead who is just a few days old nodding. She remembers how much Bilal cried the first time he held his daughter in his hand and how she always promises to make her a beautiful woman like her mother.
How he always tells her that he was blessed to have her and how thankful he was of her.
"I will come home soon to you all". Bilal said ending his speech
She looks at her son moving in her hand and she remembers again how Bilal never wanted to fly to another country leaving her alone here to deal with everything. She had seen him doing that a lot whenever he finds and he always does on his own that she has a lot to do he always cut his schedule coming home soon and leaving home late just to support her.
She loves him.
She always did and so did he. They loved each other all these years. All these years they have lived apart in pain to be together. They knew the value of relationship so they made sure they make a better future for themselves.
With understanding, love, care, trust and so much more.
Everyone pays.
So did every single person who did wrong to her. She just heard last that they were in debts that can never be recovered. Her nani was a widow and the villa was gone. Her mother was divorced and her Mamo was dead in an accident. Her Mami only son left the house and now it was all the woman who never respected another woman.
She never cared.
She had already forgiven them so she stopped any news of them. Just Samia was still there so she brings news. Samia was her support after her brother went away. That was why she went back and she was thankful for Samia demand because that made her life better.
His mother took their daughter to have her sleep beside her like always. She absolutely adores their daughter teaching her values but she saw how both his mother and Bilal always let her be the one to guide and never object her decisions for her. They always give her full rights over her daughter never doubting her.
Every kind of teaching and touch is important for child growth. Elderly blessing, father's strength and mother care. They all make a person a better human being.
Some become without it, not all.
She realises over the years that happiness was just a word that everyone talks about but never know the meaning or it's feeling. That happiness was just a small moment after that passed it was gone. Happiness was just nothing what heart crave and what lasts longer is peace of heart. When heart is at ease and rest it allow us to be free. That peace she finds in his hold. When she is in his hands and when she is with him that's all she felt; peace.
She places their son in the middle of their king-sized bed layered in his soft blanket with his small lips into a cute pout that makes her chuckle. She traces her finger over his chubby cheeks lovingly waiting for her husband. She knows he is at least good 4 hours away from her.
But she waited nevertheless until the tiredness caught up to her.
He gently closes the main door of the house not wanting to wake anyone in the house. He finds darkness around him but he had learned the way of the house over the years. The eagerness to meet his family overtake his any need for sleep and rest. He was tired because he went just a few hours before the show then went to the show and now he was back. Without any sleep in between.
He cannot sleep.
Not without his wife in his hands knowing she is there.
The fear he had after knowing how she almost died lingers in his mind. Over the years especially in childbearing, she went through a lot of pain he never originally wanted children if she was going to suffer that much but she was stubborn- so stubborn that even his cries of not wanting to see her in that pain didn't help.
Alhamdulillah.
He couldn't thank his Lord enough for the blessing he had bestowed on them in these past years.
He first went to his mother room walking inside to find his daughter cuddling in his mother hold and his mother holding her tightly. He bends down kissing their forehead saying that he loves them covering them properly.
Then he takes off to the place he wanted to go to; to his loving wife. To the woman he wants to grow old with.
He every so lightly not wanting to be the cause to disturb her beauty sleep knowing she had a long day already and that he wasn't there to help her either. He finds her leaning against the headboard and just as he takes his shoes off placing them in its place and placing his blazer in its place he finds her eyes open looking at him with a smile.
"I didn't mean to wake you, sorry". He said softly walking closer to her kissing her forehead
"I know. But I was waiting for you and you know that I always wake up when you come in no matter what". She said softly laying down on the bed
He looks at the woman he adores the most, "That's the magic of yours I have no idea how you have".
She chuckles softly making his heart speed up.
"Come on, I am tired". She said smiling
She seems to do that a lot. Smile. It seems so easy now and so natural.
He nodded laying beside her with her back to him he wraps his arms around her pulling her towards his chest. She turns around in his hands and now that he looks in her eyes they are the eyes he fell in love with- the one who always had something in them.
Fire. Storm. Calm. Patience. Pain.
These emotions always used to be the one flowing in her eyes.
Not now.
Not at the moment.
Her eyes shine in love. They shine with the shine of a woman who is loved. The woman who is care and taken care of.
Her eyes held love. Their love.
Same green piercing eyes with so much love and so much to tell to their wonderful children.
He heard his son crying from beside them and he immediately jumps into action making her stop holding his son in his hand close to his chest. If he is protective of his daughter he is as much protective of his son. They both need the same level of protective-ness.
"Bilal". She said sleepily
"Meri Jaan, just sleep I wasn't able to hold him all day I want to hold him now". He said kissing her forehead taking her hand in his so she sleep peacefully
He looks down at his second blessing kissing his forehead and his small eyes open looking at him then he just cuddles into his stronghold knowing he will make him a example of what a true man should be.
That was their story.
With pain, suffering to their love.
That was the life which comes with layers and layers of struggles you have to wait and see what those struggles will one day bring back to you. To know what award was at the end of all these.
This is their reward. Their happy family which grew to five because of his stubborn wife who he couldn't have enough and couldn't thank enough.
Bilal and Caria.
The End.
