After catching up with Ash and the gang, they were now hiking up a pathway leading up to Mt. Moon.  A place where many strange and astonishing tales have been told about it.

"Mt. Moon!  Ah.  Doesn't that name sound romantic?" Misty asked.

"Not a mountain, not a place I would consider romantic, " Cody commented.

"People say that a giant meteor crashed into the mountain, "Brock said.

"A meteor?" Ash said curiously.

"Is it true?" Misty asked.

"It just sounds like a tale to me, "Cody stated."What do you, Anna?" He asked.

"Um, I don't know," Samantha said, looking at the necklace around her neck.

"Hey Samantha, you okay?" Brock asked.

"Oh yeah, just was thinking about something, " She replied, shaking her head. "Carry on."

"The meteor is called the Moon Stone," Brock said.

"The Moonstone sounds sort of familiar to me," Cody said."Though, I don't think it was from a tale."

"Moonstone, that's so romantic," Misty said.

"Really?" Sam questioned.

Suddenly, a scream was heard, gaining their attention.

"Hey, look over there," Ash said as they all ran toward the base of Mt. Moon to see a man being attacked by a group of Zubat.

"Huh, Zubat out here?" Cody said, recognizing the bat Pokemon.

"They are attacking that guy," Misty said as Ash pulled out his Pokedex.

"Zubat,  the Bat Pokemon.  A blind Pokemon with supersonic powers.  Zubat lives in caves and hates to fly outside in daylight."

"Well, not these Zubat," Ash commented as he looked at the Zubat.

"Ash, not the time for jokes. As hot head med as my brother is, even he can be serious," Samantha said softly, not spareing Ash a glance."Kitsune Ember, "She called out.

Kitsune jumped out of her arms and released a powerful blast of flames at the Zubat.  The Zubat immediately flew back inside the cave, if fear but from the corner of her eye she noticed her brother toss a pokeball at one of the Zubat.

'So he decided to capture one.' Samantha thought, taking in her twin, captured of Zubat.

Samantha and the group then rushed over toward the guy.

"Are you okay?" Ash asked.

The guy stood up smiling."Wow, you guys are the greatest!" He said, placing his hands on Samantha's shoulders."I'm talking about super fantastic. I mean, two thumbs up, way up the best rescue I've ever had."

"Uh, you're welcome," Samantha said softly.

"I'm so moved, such friendship I thought I'd never see when the Zubat attacked me," the guy said."I thought I was done for when who should arrive? Two heroes, thanks to whom I'm alive!"

"Well, he certainly doesn't peg me as the poetic type," Misty commented.

"Did I mention how grateful I am?" The guy asked, clutching Samantha's shoulders.

"Uh.." Samantha trailed off, but thankfully, Cody locked the man off of her.

"Why were the Zubat attacking you, mister?" Ash asked.

"Huhhh," the guy gasped and looked at Ash angrily."Never call me mister! My name is Seymour...Seymour the scientist! Knowledge research, I'm Seymour the Scientist!"

The gang looked at Seymour's surprise and was confused with his behavior and exchanged looks with each other.

Seymour then led them inside the cave they saw several lights were hooked up in the cave, lighting it up. Which wasn't a good thing as I was throwing off the Pokemon's natural sense, timing, and rhythm.

"Look here the Paras living here are planting their mushrooms everywhere," Seymour said."And the hot light is drying up these Sandshrew," He stated.

The Paras were pulling the mushrooms off their backs and planting them on the ground far too early and the Sandshrew were splayed out on the floor.

"Pika," Pikachu said sadly. 

Kitsune nodded in Samantha's arms in agreement with Pikachu sadness," Vulpix."

"This is why I'm here," Seymour said."I'm patrolled to protect Mt.Moon from troublemakers attacking against  this cave."

"Troublemakers, but why attack a cave?" Misty questioned.

"I'm afraid it's because of the moon stone," Seymour replied.

"The moon stone?" Ash asked.

"Exactly," Seymour said, then rhyme horribly with a hand clutched to his chest, "The Moon Stone is an awesome boulder, a million years old or even older! Deep in these caves, the meteor hides! Though no explorer has found the place, of the legendary rock from space." He held up a piece of rock, examining it, "We've studied its fragments for many an hour, and discovered it increases a Pokémon's power. And that is why the attackers are here, they've come to take the Moonstone, or so I fear!"

"The Moon Stone?" Ash repeated.

"Ever since I was a little boy, I've believed Pokémon came to Earth from Outer Space," Seymour said. 

"From Outer Space?" Samantha along with her friends and brother repeated. 

Seymour nodded, "Yes. And where you ask, is the spacecraft that brought them to Earth? In this cave. It's the Moon Stone."

Samantha's attention was then drawn away from the conversation as she heard a faint noise coming from somewhere, and started walking on and off with Kitsune in her arms.

"Wait up we catch up with you guys soon," Cody said following after his twin sister Samantha.

Samantha then walked into a small room ahead in the cave. Cody then caught up with Samantha. 

"Hey, what's up Anna?" Cody asked.

"Sorry It's just I'm sure I heard something," Samantha replied."I figured it might have been a new Pokemon to capture and add to my current team," She explained. 

"Ah well you could of say something instead of running off," Cody stated.

"Right my bad," Samantha said rubbing the back of her neck as she looked down."We should get back before the others get worried," She said.

"Vulpix," Kitsune said in agreement. 

"Then let's go maybe you find an Pokémon as we make are way to Mt. Moon," Cody said.

However the trio paused in there tracks as they heard faint footsteps behind them,causing them to turn around as a figure stepped out of the shadows.

Samantha and Cody then saw a small,quadrupedal, mammalian Pokemon. It has large, spiny ears; oversized front teeth; red eyes; and a pair of whiskers on each cheek. It is light blue with several darker blue spots. There are two white claws on each of its paws. Its back is covered with small toxic spines, and it has a small forehead horn.

Samantha narrow her eyes as she studying the Pokemon seeing a familiar similar to Cody's  Nidoran and got ready to take out her Pokedex to see what information it had on the Pokemon in front of her and her brother.

Hello my wonderful Readers! Finally  chapter 14 is here and this chapter  Samantha along with Cody,Ash,Misty,and Brock arrive at Mt. Moon. Samantha along with Cody temporarily separate from the groups as Samantha hears an noise only to see no Pokemon there until an female  Nidoran soon steps out of the shadows..
