Myrah POV

I walked as quickly as I could before giving a quick glance to the cute guy. My heart skipped a beat and my skin tingled at his touch. Cute, I said cute! I never paid any attention to any other guys other than Ronnie.

I noticed Neha walking with another girl. Neha noticed me. "Myrah." The other girl's eyes widened.

"You are Myrah," the other girl said. "Oh wait, I forgot to introduce myself."

"This is Meeta," Neha chuckled. "This is Myrah."

Neha told her?

"You told her," I said angrily.

"I'm sorry but I can't hide from my best friend and I promise she won't say a thing," Neha said quietly. "I know what you are thinking, but I swear I would never want to hurt you Myrah."

I softened as Neha spoke. She looked sincere and sorry. When I met Neha, I knew she was different from who I expected her to be. She's kind, beautiful and sweet. Ever since the time Arjun Kumar tried to force me to go out with him, I found it hard to trust people.

"Sorry," I said apologetically. "I don't know what came over me."

"It's fine, I understand," Neha said sympathetically.

"Let's go to your room," Meeta suggested and all of them agreed.

Meeta POV

"Wow," I gasped. We were talking about Myrah just some months back and here she is, right in front of me. The most unexpected events occur in life.

"You've got to keep a secret," Neha said firmly.

"I promise I will," I promised my best friend and Myrah. "But what about Payal?"

"I'll see," Myrah said looking unsure. "It's difficult to explain but you both are right, I should tell her but I am not ready."

"You should take your time," Neha said gently. "And I'll try to visit as much as I can now."

"Visit?" Myrah glanced at us confused.

"I spent more than a week here now," Neha sighed. "My parents expect me to start working in the family business and I want to too but now everything has changed."

I studied Myrah's expression. She seemed upset at the thought of Neha leaving. And Neha, she felt relaxed and really happy ever since she has come to the orphanage.

"I am going to talk to your parents," I got up. I knew it was best for Neha to stay here for now.

"What about work?" Neha stood up immediately.

"Oh please," I smirked. "You don't care about work right now. I know that face anywhere."

"Fine, fine you know me too well," Neha put her hands up to surrender but gave me a quick hug. "Thanks yaar, it means a lot to me."

Myrah chuckled at our conversation.

"I would like that," she gave me a grateful smile.

"Me too, let's go," Neha said eagerly, just like a child.

Our parents and brothers were waiting in the main hall.

"There you both are," My dad noticed us.

"Neha, why do you want to stay?" Nikhil asked. He can't help but be overprotective of Neha. I don't blame him. Neha did kind of run away without telling her family.

"I..." Neha started.

"Ok the thing is that Neha wants to spend time with these adorable children because it helps her in, I guess, calming down." I interrupted her. "And the truth is that Naina is affecting her more and more these days."

"Why didn't you tell us Sweetie?" Priya Aunty glanced at her daughter. "We could have helped. I know you manage a lot of things by yourself but in these matters, you should have come to me or your dad."

"Sorry Ma," Neha sighed. She knew she hadn't been sharing things to her parents and that was wrong.

"It's good to see you safe," Prem Uncle said while Neha gave her dad a hug.

"She's gone so happy and she literally glows," I said and glanced pleadingly at Prem Uncle, Priya Aunty and Nikhil.

"Ok fine," Prem Uncle agreed and Priya Aunty nodded. "But only for a little while."

"Oh my gosh," Neha squealed and hugged both of her parents and then embraced me. "Thanks Meeta." She whispered so that only I heard it.

"You don't need to thank me," I said happily.

"Are you sure about this Dad?" Nikhil looked unsure.

"Stop being overprotective Dude," Veer rolled her yes.

"Good, I'm going on a date tonight," I smirked.

"No, you will not go on that date," Veer said firmly.

"Overprotective, huh," Nikhil smirked while Veer looked away.

"We have to go," my dad said.

"Sorry Babe," I said apologetically to Neha. "I have to go on a date."

"Tell me everything," She smiled.

"I have to go too," Veer said casually.

"Of course," Neha rolled her eyes.

Neha POV

"How did it feel to meet your family again?" Myrah asked as she sat down next to me.

"Well, you were right." I admitted. "They care so much about me. I feel really guilty of doing this."

"I know that a family is special," Myrah said, smiling at me. "I know you love them."

She was right. I adored my family. They were amazing and now I feel blessed to have them in my life.

"Well Raj is coming to visit," I said happily. "You are gonna love him."

"You are crazy about him," Myrah chuckled at my antics.

"He's come," I said after reading the text message he sent.

Author POV

Neha ran and hugged Raj tightly. Myrah glanced at them sadly as memories of her and Ronnie played in her mind.

"Myrah this is Raj," Neha introduced us.

"Hey," A voice said behind Myrah.

"Veer," Neha looked surprised to see Veer. "What are you doing here?"

Myrah's eyes were locked into Veer's eyes. That boy, she thought while Veer was mesmerised by her.

"Veer," Neha said a bit more loudly. She was annoyed with Veer's sudden appearance.

"Oh sorry," Veer said but his eyes were glued to Myrah. "I wanted to talk to you about someone but I've found her."

Neha looked at both Myrah and Veer. They both were busy gazing at each other. Then it hit Neha what Veer said.

Veer's in love with Myrah, Neha thought.

And ended it with a cliffhanger 😋
