A few years later

"Trust me Captain, I can help you. Night Raid is getting stronger every day. If you're their next target, I don't know what I'd do. My reputation was all because of you, now let me return the favour!" I slammed my sword onto the table bursting full of anger. Why won't he let me be his guard? Night Raid can attack at any moment! He needs all the backup he can get!

"You're not ready yet, you're still too-"

"WHAT AM I? I've been training for a third of my life! If I lose you, you know what I'll do!" I turned my sword into a shotgun and pointed it at my head putting my finger on the trigger.

"You think I'll die?" He asked calmly as he crossed his arms closing his eyes.

I put down my gun and smiled,"I guess not!" That made me full of relief. I was too worked up in the thought of him dying I didn't realise who I was talking about. Captain Ogre the Demon, dying from his arch enemies? What was I thinking? And he's always surrounded by others. "Anyways, I'm meeting up with a friend today, see ya!" I ran out and made my way into the city. "Now where is he?" I looked around the town standing in front of a bookstore.

"Jan!"

"Hey Lubbock! You're late!" I yelled as I slapped him across the face. "Never keep a girl waiting!"

"Why did I even make friends with you?" I heard him mutter as he stroked his cheek.

"What did you say?" I turned around with demonic eyes.

"Umm, nothing!"

"So, what did you want to tell me?" I asked lowering my tone.

"Ummm, you know Captain Ogre right?" I nodded, "well, there was this lady who is really  upset because he killed her husband without a reason. So, I wanna ask you. Can you ... Kil- I mean .... can you ask him why he did it?" He stuttered.

"He's on patrol at night and it's about to get dark. I guess you're gonna have to wait until tomorrow", I sighed, I guess I don't have to worry since his best guard is patrolling the city with him. I'm still frustrated he didn't let me help instead of him. "Well, goodnight!"

"Yeah, sleep well", he smiled giving me a thumbs up.

"Bye, see ya tomorrow?"

"Ok."

I ran away back to my room, I placed my sword on the table and changed into my nightgown after brushing my teeth. I jumped into my bed and fell asleep instantly. I woke up in the middle of the night cause I heard a strange noise. "Who's there!" I picked up my sword and ran out seeing someone run around the corner. I chased her into a dead end. "What's the deal of stalking me in my sleep, huh?" I placed my sword at her head.

She just stood there with her back facing towards me. She had medium-sized purple hair with purple clothing. She turned around revealing her face. I pointed at her face and gave her a glare. Suddenly she took out a pair of Giant Scissors, she fixed her glasses and charged at me. I blocked it with my sword but she snipped it in half. It surprised me that something like that can destroy my Imperial Arm.

"Sheele, isn't it? Your Imperial Arm Extase is quite impressive but ... *Sword starts regenerating* it's not enough!" My sword fully regenerates as I charged at her surprised face at full speed. "Huh, she disappeared!" I pulled my sword out of the wall and looked around seeing she vanished completely. "Wait, but that means ... Oh crap!" I ran into the city looking around for Captain Ogre. I know that he's with another guard but I there's something about him that I don't trust. But still, I'm going to see if he's ok.

I turned around the corner into an open land. "Captain ... Ogre. Is that?" I was so shocked, I was speechless. It was Captain Ogre, dead on the floor. "I'm ..... too late!"

The Next Day

"I can't believe Captain Ogre is dead, but where's Leo? His body wasn't found so where is he? And why didn't he help Captain Ogre?" I heard some of the guards talk to each other as I passed the gate. I felt helpless that day, frustrated that I wasn't there to help him. If only I came earlier to see the face of the murderer and get some details about him. Unfortunately I can't get any information from my sword to my brain by looking at a picture of their face. I have to see them in person. I can only know their name, age, gender, reputation and family history. I can't tell what group they're in so I won't know if they're from Night Raid or not.

If only I can find out what my other trump cards are, then maybe I could've saved him back there. Leo ... Why weren't you there to help Captain Ogre?! I squeezed my eyes letting tears down my cheeks. Just then I thought I saw the guards in front of me were covered in red but when I blinked again my vision became back to normal. I was curious of what I saw so I wiped away my tears and approached them.

"Excuse me, is there something you two have been hiding?" I asked.

"What .. No-why woul-would we?" One of them stuttered.

"Is that so?" They nodded so I walked away hearing them let out a huge sigh then whispered, "I thought we were gonna get caught for sure!" I turned around and sliced one of their heads off. "You're next!" I pointed at the frightened male as he made a run for it. I followed him but kept myself well hidden.

"Thank god, I lost her!" He stopped in the middle of the forest trying to catch his breath. I jumped down from the tree and chopped his left arm off.

"You think so?" He fell onto the ground breathing heavily and looked at me like I'm some sort of monster. "Tell me .... Who are you working for?" I stomped my foot onto his chest and pointed my sword at his neck.

"Na-Najenda, of Night-Raid....... Please! Have mercy! I only worked for them because I needed Captain Ogre to be dead! He killed my children and wife for no reason so I had to avenge them!" He begged.

"Likely story!" I slashed his head off and walked back to the castle. I wiped the blood off my face and let out a huge sigh. "I guess I found out another thing my Imperial Arm can do. Even so, I promise, I'll get stronger and when I do ... Night Raid's life will be in my hands!"
