Chapter 3

Two years later, it was very cold at the end of September where the colors began to change colors and winter was around the corner.
Kayla's life was about to change forever as her birthday was the next day in finally having her chance to leave the safe house to go to the Shield Academy. She began having dreams in feeling like visions since the beginning of September. She used her journal to write her dreams to make sure if any of her dreams would come true. She finishes packing her clothes and belongings into suitcases in getting ready for her time to go to the Shield Academy after her sixteenth birthday. She was sitting in her window seat in her bedroom having her journal on her lap and she began to write on the blank page of her journal.

'Dear diary,

I'm writing this last page in my journal here at the safe house before I leave to go attend at the Shield Academy. It's really hard to believe my life chapter here is about to begin a new chapter of my life at the Shield Academy. I should start writing about me getting my acceptance letter from the Shield Academy last week. Ikaika and Evelyn told me that there was going to be a special guest coming to the safe house tomorrow to give me a birthday present from Director Fury. I have a very strange dream about someone who looked very familiar with being too young when I saw this familiar age. I have very faded memories from my early childhood. I'm so grateful to have Ikaika and Evelyn to help me remember what my parents looked like and what their lives were like before they had me. I'm very excited about attending the same Shield Academy like my parents did. I have actually thought about what my future would be like, but I have to wait and see what my future would be after I graduate from the Shield Academy.

Kayla.'

Kayla closed her journal and put it into her bag. She stays in her window seat to continue watching the fall leaves flying through the cold breeze. Ikaika walks into Kayla's bedroom to check on her, who hasn't left her bedroom since breakfast. Ikaika notices Kayla was sitting on her window seat watching the fall leaves down from the trees. She walked towards Kayla's window seat and sat down next to Kayla in seeing she had finished packing suitcases on her bed. Ikaika looked at Kayla while she was thinking about something.

"Kayla, you should know that Kate would be alright with me after you and Evelyn leave the safe house. I was planning to take Kate with me to go back to my family in Hawaii during the fall, winter, and spring. She would have the chance to make new friends with my cousins, nieces, and nephews who could keep her company. I know that there are going to be kids coming to the safe house knowing that their parents will not come back on dangerous missions. I'm going to continue my work here until you find what your future is going to be." Ikaika said to Kayla.
Kayla turned her head to look at Ikaika as she felt her heart was telling her something important to trust her feelings. She knew that she had to trust her deep feelings inside of her heart to help figure out what her feelings were telling her. She looked at Ikaika while she was holding her mother's necklace in her hands.

"Ikaika, I would continue to give my support to future orphans who need so much support and love for them to know that they have a bright future ahead of them. Wherever the future that would be will be for me as long I give my support to this safe house to help future orphans. I will come visit the safe house to spend time with Kate every summer and help her get ready to go attend the Shield Academy." Kayla said to Ikaika.
Ikaika was very proud of Kayla for giving her support to help future orphans in seeing Alisha's generous spirit in Kayla. Ikaika thought about her hiding the truth about what happened to Kayla's parents in the graveyard two years ago. Ikaika looked at Kayla while she got up from the window seat.

"Kayla, you should know that you are so much like your mother, Alisha with her spirits inside of yourself. You have to believe in yourself to find what kind of future you are going to have." Ikaika said to Kayla. Kayla gave a grateful smile to Ikaika who was always there for you since she arrived at the safe house so long ago. Ikaika walked out of Kayla's bedroom into the hallway to leave Kayla alone in her bedroom. Kayla got up from her window seat and started to pack her other belongings into boxes for her to bring to her future apartment after she graduated from the Shield Academy. She always wondered about who's the special guest coming to the safe house tomorrow. She went into her closet to pack her other clothes into boxes before she found a pale pink dress inside her closet. She grabbed the pale pink dress from the closet and put it down on her window seat for her sixteenth birthday tomorrow. She continues to pack her other belongings into boxes and traveling bags. She was very excited about her sixteenth birthday and finally having her chance to attend the Shield Academy like her parents did before her.

Next day, Kayla was getting ready for her small birthday party with Kate who was helping her get dressed. Kate was wearing her pale red dress for the special occasion of Kayla's sixteenth birthday. Kayla and Kate were celebrating a small celebration of a new chapter of our lives in Kayla's bedroom. Soon they heard a knock on the door and Kate walked towards the door while Kayla was finishing putting on her makeup. Kate opened the door to see Rosa in her ocean blue dress and Kate brought Rosa into Kayla's bedroom to close the door so no one would see the birthday girl before the small birthday party. Kayla was so happy to see Rosa in having her small friend group back once again. Rosa grabbed the middle blue velvet box from her bag and opened the middle blue velvet box to show a pink gem set in silver tiara.

"Kayla, I have some help with finding this tiara that used to be my mother's tiara when she turned sixteen. I want you to wear it on your sixteenth birthday in honor of my Mexican tradition." Rosa said to Kayla. Kayla put her on the middle blue velvet box and she looked at Rosa while she was truly amazed by how beautiful the tiara was.

"Rosa, I'm so honored to wear your mother's tiara on my sixteenth birthday as being your Mexican tradition for young girls to wear a tiara on their sixteenth birthdays." Kayla said to Rosa.
Rosa put the middle blue velvet box on Kayla's desk and carefully grabbed the tiara from the middle blue velvet box. She put the tiara on Kayla's head while she remembered her sweet sixteenth birthday a couple of years ago.

"Kayla, you, Kate, Ikaika, and Evelyn have been my familia since I arrived here after leaving my old home. Familia always stay together to help each other out. Now I would go check with Ikaika and Evelyn if our guests have arrived. I invited some of my new friends to your birthday party who are from the Shield Academy. You and Kate are my best friends and wouldn't change anything for our friendship." Rosa said to Kayla.
Rosa walked out of Kayla's bedroom to let Kayla help Kate put her jewelry on while they waited for Rosa to come back from checking if the guest had arrived. They enjoyed talking about what the party was going to be while they waited for Rosa to come back. Rosa walked down the stairs into the kitchen to check on the party and the guests had arrived. Ikaika was putting cupcakes on fancy plates in the kitchen before she noticed Rosa walking into the kitchen.

"Rosa, could you help me to get the cupcakes to the dining room? It's because Evelyn is busy with welcoming the guests at the front porch and I have been finishing up setting up the dining room." Ikaika asked Rosa.
Rosa nods yes to Ikaika and she grabs one of the fancy plates with some cupcakes off the kitchen counter. She walked out of the kitchen into the dining room where food and desserts were set up for the birthday party. She put the fancy plate on the dining table and returned to get more of the fancy plates from the kitchen. Rosa walked out of the kitchen into the living room where Evelyn was finishing up talking with guests. Evelyn walked towards Rosa after welcoming all of the guests to the party.

"Rosa, you could tell Kayla to come out for her grand entrance after all of the guests are here for the party." Evelyn said to Rosa.
Rosa walked back stairs after helping finish setting up the dining room for the final details for the party. Rosa walked down the hallway and noticed a familiar face from the opened hallway before she walked towards Kayla's bedroom door. She opened the door and walked into Kayla's bedroom to close the door. Kayla and Kate got up from the window seat after finishing talking about the party. Rosa walked towards Kayla to help fix Kayla's dress and make her beautiful for her sixteenth birthday party. Rosa looked at Kayla while she stayed next to Kate.

"Kayla, are you ready for our grand entrance? Before we leave your bedroom to go downstairs to your sixteenth birthday party. I want to say thank you for you and Kate helped me have the most grand and fun time on my sixteenth birthday a couple of years ago. Now I'm back in Northern Arizona to make your sixteenth birthday special and help you have a grand time." Rosa asked Kayla.
Kayla put her hands on her mother's archery necklace to keep her parents in her heart on her special day. She looks up at Rosa while she feels ready for her time to shine on her special day.

"Yes, I'm ready for my grand entrance. I have been waiting for this day and moment since I turned thirteen years old a couple of years ago. I only deeply hope that my parents are still alive to be here for my sixteenth birthday..." Kayla said to Rosa.
Kayla started getting into tears after thinking about her parents falling onto the floor. Rosa and Kate sat down on the floor with Kayla who was deeply missing her parents. Kate looked at Kayla while she was fixing Kayla's makeup.

"Kayla, you should know that your parents are always there for you in your heart. Please don't be sad on your birthday and be the happiest girl on your birthday." Kate said to Kayla.
Kayla gives a happy smile while she lets Kate fix her makeup. She got up from the floor to fix her dress before leaving her bedroom. She nodded at Kate who was always there for her since they first met so long ago. Rosa and Kate walked out of Kayla's bedroom into the hallway towards the stairs. Kayla walked out of her bedroom into the hallway to join her friends at the top of the stairs. Kayla and her friends walked down the stairs to everyone being so amazed by how beautiful the three girls in their dresses were. Rosa brought Kayla to meet her friends after walking down the stairs into the living room. Kayla enjoyed talking with the guests who were Shield agents and friends with Ikaika and Evelyn. She enjoys dancing with friends and new friends who were Rosa's friends from the Shield Academy. She walked onto the back porch after being almost overwhelmed from the party. She sat down on the porch swing and she enjoyed having some quiet time for herself while a cold breeze went through her long hair. She enjoys having some time in Northern Arizona to be her final time before she leaves for the Shield Academy. Kayla closed her eyes to let herself hear the sound of nature and creatures from the forest. Evelyn and her fellow Shield agent walking onto the back porch to find Kayla sitting on the porch swing who was enjoying her alone time. Evelyn walked inside the safe house to let her fellow Shield agent have some alone time with Kayla. He walked towards the porch swing and sat down next to Kayla. He unfolded the blanket and put it over Kayla's shoulders. Kayla opened her eyes after enjoying her alone time and she turned her head to notice that she was not alone anymore. She looks at the familiar Shield agent with a curious look on her face.

"Why do you look familiar to me? I remember you helping me after I heard what happened to my parents when I was five years old." Kayla asked the familiar Shield agent.
He looks at Kayla in remembering his first time meeting her in being so young and little. He hasn't been able to visit the safe house since his last visit while being busy helping Director Fury. He grabbed his phone from his jacket pocket and showed Kayla a picture of him with her parents on his phone.

"Kayla, I'm Phil Coulson, I was very good friends with your parents before their last mission. I was the agent who brought Kate and Rosa to the safe house after they left their old homes when they lost their parents. I have put my trust in Ikaika and Evelyn to continue to raise you after I left the safe house. I have been getting reports about you being a quick learner and teaching yourself to be an archer after finding your gift when you were ten years old. I have Agent Barton keep an eye on you and give you a handmade wooden bow with a leather arrow holder with some arrows. You should know that your parents were the ones who told me that they would like you to attend the same Shield Academy as they did. For now I want you to meet Agent Barton, who would like to finally meet you after watching you grow up over the past years." Coulson said to Kayla.
Kayla finally knew who the Shield agent who had helped me get over her sadness about losing her parents when she was five years old. She got up from the porch swing in having the blanket around her shoulders and she followed Coulson to the archery area. She noticed a familiar face who was practicing with their bow to impress Kayla. Coulson waved to Barton from the top of back porch stairs while he let Kayla stay next to him. Kayla was being very curious about who this Barton was and she hoped she might know who gave her handmade wooden bow. Agent Barton lowered his bow from practicing his archery and walked out of the archery practice area. Barton walked out of the archery practice area towards the back porch where Coulson and Alisha's daughter were. Barton walked upstairs to the back porch towards Coulson and Alsiha's daughter. He looked at Alisha's daughter who looks so much like her mother.

"Hello Kayla, I'm so glad to finally meet Alisha's daughter after hearing about you from Coulson and he sent me to watch over you since your parents didn't return from their final mission. I want to let you know that I was the one who left you a handmade wooden bow and leather arrow holder. I was the one who made them for you after your mother asked me to make you your own bow and arrow holder in her will. I'm very impressed by your skills in archery since you started practicing archery when you were ten years old. I want to wish you luck on starting a new chapter of your life at the Shield Academy. Your parents would be so proud of you for finding who you are and finding what your future would be. I hope that I can see you again at the Shield Academy or somewhere else in the near future." Barton said to Kayla.
Kayla was very surprised to finally know who gave her gift when she was ten years old and finally someone who could be her hero during her time at the Shield Academy. She finally saw her future was bright with great hopes without knowing the dangers would risk her own life. She looked at Barton while she still had the blanket around her shoulders to stay warm from the cold air.

"I'm so grateful to finally know who left me a handmade wooden bow and leather arrow holder when I was ten years old. I have been using my bow ever since I found them to be a very skilled archer. I actually looked up at my ancestor who was a very well skilled archer and she protects her village from threats. She created a small group of female archers in joining her quest for protecting their beloved village. I have learned about her from my book that used to be my mother's book. I would give my life to study and train hard to become a Shield agent at the Shield Academy like my parents did before me." Kayla said to Barton.
Barton listened to Kayla while seeing Alisha and Aillard in Kayla who has her mother's courageous spirit and her father's strength. He grabbed an envelope from his bag and gave it to Kayla.

"Kayla, your mother wrote this letter and sent it to me for safe keeping for me to give it to you on your sixteenth birthday. She told me to keep this letter safe until I could give it to you on your sixteenth birthday. She wrote this letter after you were born and she gave me the letter before she left for her final mission with her husband. I come here with Coulson to give you the letter and finally meet you after years watching over you in secret. I should leave now after having my promise finally completed that I made from your mother. I hope that I can see you again in the near future." Barton said to Kayla. Kayla grabbed the envelope from Barton and watched him walk back to the archery practice area to grab his bow and arrow holder. Barton walked to the front of the safe house to get into Shield van and left the safe house to the local airport to return to Shield Headquarters. Kayla walked back to the porch swing and sat down on the porch swing to look at the envelope to see her mother's handwriting. She never saw her parents handwriting in a long time of her life since she was brought to the safe house. Coulson sat down next to Kayla on the porch swing and he looked at her with notice that she was thinking about her parents.

"Kayla, you should know that your parents deeply loved and cared so much for you since you were born. They were planning to have more children after their final mission as Shield agents. Their dreams ended when they didn't return from their final mission in giving everything they wanted to you to have a normal childhood. I'm going to escort you to the Shield Academy tomorrow and I will be at the Shield Academy for a few days until I return to Shield headquarters. I'm going to give the very best education at the Shield Academy after what your parents wrote in their will after they left you at the safe house when you were four years old." Coulson said to Kayla. Kayla listened to Coulson while she was looking at the envelope while holding it in her hands. She thought about what her mother told her about being a true archer in her heart after having her dream to finally understand what her mother told her. She looked up at Coulson after she looked at the envelope in her hands.

"I'm grateful for having so many people who knew my parents to help me remember them in my young memories. I have always wondered how my future would be without my parents or if they did come back from their final mission. I do know that this letter might give a new hope for my future in having them in my heart to carry on my new life at the Shield Academy." Kayla said to Coulson.
Coulson listens to Kayla while he puts his hand on her shoulder as he sees so much of Alisha in her daughter. He got up from the porch swing and he looked down at Kayla.

"I'm going to return inside to the party and let everyone know that you will be back inside later. I would let you have some alone time to read your mother's letter and we could start packing the van for tomorrow." Coulson said to Kayla.
Coulson walks back inside the safe house letting Kayla be alone once again where the sun begins to set down on the horizon into the trees. Kayla finally carefully opens the envelope to unfold her mother's
letter to see her mother's handwriting in the letter. She carefully reads the letter quietly while holding back the tears in her eyes.

'Dear little hummingbird, Kayla,

I'm writing this letter for you to read on your sixteenth birthday in not knowing if me and your father would return from our final mission to retire from Shield to spend more time with you. I have held on to my hopes and dreams for me to share with you after you were born three years ago. I have spent every moment with you since you were born and I would put them in this letter for you to continue to hold on to them in you. I should tell you that you have very strong skills at archery from me, my grandmother, and your ancestors. You have to use your skills in helping find what your future would be by taking risks. I have always been very proud of you for knowing that I will not be able to have my chance to watch you grow up. I should tell you that there is always hope during the darkest and hardest times of your lives. I don't really know how to put my hopes and dreams into this letter. I do know that I have one dream of you attending the Shield Academy after you turn sixteen years old. It was my dream to watch you becoming the woman who you wanted to be ever since you were born. I have plans to teach you how to become an archer, teach you about my family's history, and so much more. I do know that my friends would help you to help you find what kind of future you would have. You are only one person who could find what you would have in having courage, bravery, loyalty, and trust in the ones who you loved.

From your mother, Alisha.'

Kayla put the folded letter and put it back in the envelope after quietly reading her mother's letter. She let herself cry in knowing that she has her mother in her friends and her mother's friends who could help her find what her future holds. She closed her eyes to wonder what her future holds for her in her mind, until she felt deep down feeling inside of herself. She opened her eyes to feel a deep feeling that was telling her some kind of warning for her future. She fully didn't understand what her deep feeling was telling her to only trust it to help her find what kind of future she would have. Kayla got out of her thoughts and she got up from the porch swing to walk back inside the safe house. She walked out of the back porch into the kitchen where Rosa walked towards her.

"Kayla, I was about to go get you from the back porch after seeing Coulson return to the party in the living room. Have you got the special present from Coulson? I heard that it was a handwritten letter from your mother, Alisha from Ikaika and Evelyn." Rosa asked Kayla. Kayla gave Rosa the envelope after reading it when she was outside on the back porch. Rosa carefully grabbed the letter from the envelope and read it quietly before she recognized the handwriting in the letter was Alisha's handwriting. Kayla grabbed one of the fancy glasses with lemonade in it from the kitchen counter while she was letting Rosa read her mother's letter.

"Rosa, I actually felt like my mother was with me when I was reading her letter. I finally understand why she looked so heartbroken when she was saying her final goodbye to me when I was four years old. I would make her proud of me for finding what kind of future I would have and find who I am. I'm very excited about finally going to the Shield Academy after hearing about it from your letters." Kayla said to Rosa.
Rosa finished reading Alisha's letter and carefully put it back into the envelope. She gave the letter back to Kayla and she grabbed one of the fancy glasses with lemonade from the kitchen counter. Kayla put her mother's letter in her dress pocket to follow Rosa back into the living room, where everyone was happy to see the birthday girl was back. Kayla enjoyed the rest of her birthday party with opening her birthday presents, blowing her birthday candles, cutting her birthday, and helping hand out cake pieces to her guests. Kayla enjoyed her birthday presents for being books, notebooks, clothes, and other items. She was very thankful to everyone who gave her amazing birthday presents to help her be ready for the next chapter of her life. Soon the party finally ended with Kayla saying goodbye to her guests and helping clean the safe house with her friends and two aunts. She enjoys hearing her friends talk about their time at the party when she was outside on the back porch while they were cleaning dishes in the kitchen. She started packing up the leftovers from the party into different containers and put them in the fridge. Kayla walked out of the kitchen after cleaning dishes and getting leftovers into containers for putting them in the fridge. She walked into the living room to put her opened birthday presents into huge gift bags and walked upstairs to the second floor into the long hallway. She walked down the hallway and walked into her bedroom to get undressed from her light pink dress into her light blue nightgown. She sat down on her window seat and started looking through her birthday presents to make two plies to bring with her to the Shield Academy or stay here until she finished her education at the Shield Academy. She got up from her window seat after looking through her birthday preaching and she walked towards her desk to grab her journal from her desk. She grabbed her pencil from her desk drawer and returned to her window seat to sit down. She grabbed her mother's letter from her light pink dress pocket and put it in her journal for safe keeping. She sat down on her window seat while opening her journal to a blank page and started writing on the blank page with her pencil.

'Dear diary,

Today was truly an amazing day for being my sixteenth birthday and my final day here at the safe house. I never thought I'd be able to leave the safe house after my parents left me here when I was four years old. Tomorrow is going to be a traveling day to the Shield Academy with Agent Coulson tomorrow. I should start at the beginning of my birthday day when I am getting ready for my birthday party. I always thought about what my sixteenth birthday was going to be if my parents did return from their final mission, only to know my only wish would've come true after so many years of strongly believing in my wish. I sometimes look at the mirror from my closet and wonder if I'm either looking like my mother or father or both growing up. When I was getting my makeup done before Kate opened the door after we heard knock on the door. I was so grateful to see Rosa once again for my sixteenth birthday after we last spent time together in Downtown Flagstaff. Rosa was wearing her ocean blue dress while she was holding her matching handbag. I was the happiest girl in my small world to have my small friend group back together on my sixteenth birthday. I watched Rosa taking out a middle blue velvet box from her handbag and opening it up to show a pink gem set in silver tiara for being so very beautiful. I was truly amazed at seeing the very beautiful tiara, before Rosa looked at me to say something about the tiara used to belong to her mother on her sixteenth birthday. She says that she was going to let me wear it on my sixteenth birthday to honor her Mexican heritage tradition. I felt so honored to wear Rosa's mother's tiara with great honor on my sixteenth birthday. I let Rosa put her mother's tiara on my head after carefully grabbing it from the middle blue velvet box. I felt the heaviness of the tiara on my head after Rosa put it on my head. Rosa left my bedroom to check things were ready and the guests arrived before my grand entrance. Me and Kate spend our time together talking about how we are going to miss each other after my sixteenth birthday. I do know how Kate was going to feel alone like she was when I lost my parents. I kept my promise to come back to visit my friend, Kate during breaks and holidays. I do know that the safe house has always been a place where kids who come here have their parents who go on dangerous missions or lost their parents from young ages. I hope that Kate could be alright when I'm at the Shield Academy to not be all alone without me and Rosa there. I do know that Evelyn and Akaika would continue to help Kate until her sixteenth birthday to be able to go to the Shield Academy to start a new chapter of her life. I should write about the rest of my birthday when I get to the Shield Academy in a couple of days. I need some sleep for a long day tomorrow and I will write sometime during my traveling day.

Kayla,'

Kayla closed her journal after finishing writing her final page at the safe house and she put her journal into her light brown shoulder bag. She started putting some of her birthday presents into her suitcase after putting the other half of her birthday presents into boxes. She starts taking down her pictures from her wall below her bed and puts them into her photo album before she gets some rest for tomorrow. She sat down on her bed and started looking at her photo album filled with memories from her first time at the safe house. She felt a deep feeling once again inside her heart that she was going to have a bright future ahead when she was putting her hands into her mother's necklace. She doesn't even know what is going to be dangerous and risks that she would have to get through it with finding the courage inside of herself.

Later that early morning, Kayla and her two friends were getting her suitcases and a couple of boxes into the back of the van after getting from Kayla's bedroom. Kayla looked at Kate who was trying to not cry or let tears down her face before she hugged her friend.

"Kate, you are going to be alright without me and Rosa. You only have one year before your sixteenth to join me and Rosa at the Shield Academy. I would come back to spend time with you and tell you about my time at the Shield Academy." Kayla said to Kate.
Kate let a few tears down her face as she remembered her mother saying something to help her stay calm while her father was fighting a strange group of people who invaded her house back in England. Kate looked at Kayla while she was holding her tears in her eyes without bursting out crying.

"Kayla, you were a truly amazing friend who always helped me since I arrived here at the safe house after losing my parents when I used to live in England when I was four years old. You were like an older sister to me during our life here at the safe house to spend so much time together. I do know that I would be alright without you and Rosa in having Ikaika to keep me company until my sixteenth birthday to go attend the Shield Academy." Kate said to Kayla.
Kayla hugged her friend once more and she got into the van with Rosa. Kate walked back to the safe house and stayed on the front porch to watch the van drive away from the safe house until she couldn't see the van anymore. Ikaika and Evelyn were on the second floor balcony to watch the van drive away into the forest. Evelyn looked at Ikaika while she was holding a file in her hands.

"Ikaika, I should tell you that I did a small trip back to England to find something shocking about Kate's family tree. I was visiting my family and did deep research on Kate's family to find if she has any surviving relatives in giving her hope to go back to England. We should talk about it away from the safe house and not let Kate know until we know that she is ready to know." Evelyn said to Ikaika.
Ikaika put her hands on Evelyn's hands while they walked back inside the safe house after watching the van drive away into the forest. Ikaika looked at Evelyn while they walked down the hallway towards the stairs.

"How about we talk about it when Kate is asleep after dinner. You know that she might have found out about what happened to her parents like Kayla's parents in the next few years when she was a Shield agent after graduating from the Shield Academy. Do you think this strange group was after two girl's parents who have some connections?" Ikaika asked Evelyn.
Evelyn stayed quiet while she was walking down the stairs and walked into the kitchen to start cooking dinner. Ikaika walked down the stairs and walked into the living room where Kate was sitting on the couch while holding the picture of her parents in her hands. Kate always wondered what really happened to her parents when she was in the basement safe room when she was four years old. She has wondered why she and Kayla look almost alike after the first time she met her when she arrived at the safe house. Ikaika walked towards the couch and sat down next to Kate while she was seeing her friend in Kate who looks so much like her.

"Kate, I want to tell you that I was very good friends with your parents during my life in England who helped my family when I was gone on missions. Alicia always gives her time to help others with being almost the top Shield agent in the Shield headquarters in England. I was her first friend at the Shield Academy in England during my first year and studying with your mother who was the top student at the Shield Academy. She always tells me how much she loves to start a family after finding the right person to be with her forever. She was from a very supportive and very wealthy family who has been Shield Academy since Shield was founded. She left her family to attend the Shield Academy and graduated in becoming a Shield agent to start her new life. She visits her family once in her life after she becomes Shield agent to help them with relocating them to a new place in starting a new life. She actually cares about her family to be safe from unknown threats who danger her family after she married your father. She found out that she was pregnant with you that late fall and she kept herself away from everyone who she cares about to not find out about her pregnancy. She spent the twentieth years of your life since you were born to know that the threat would be coming to her own small family. She has sent me a very well handwritten letter to trust me with her life to watch over if anything happens to her and her husband. She has always been hoping to have a family of her own before her hopes crashed into pieces when the threats started after she got married and having you in her life. Now you have to continue your life and hold her hopes inside of you for making your mother so proud of her. I want to tell you that I'm going back to England to get back to my family and have Ikaika take care of you until your sixteenth birthday. I will come back to visit you on holidays and bring you more of your mother's belongings to be closer with your mother." Evelyn said to Kate.
Kate put her parents' picture on the coffee table and she put her arms around Evelyn's body to make her so happy to know more about her mother. She looks up at Evelyn after she hug Evelyn in being so happy to be more close with her mother while she was showing a joyful smile on her face.

"Thank you so very much Evelyn for telling me more about my mother. I'm so grateful for being close to my mother ever since they unknowingly disappeared after a strange group broke into my old home back in England. I should go back to my room to hangout until dinner is ready and help pack a couple of final things in Kayla's bedroom after dinner." Kate said to Evelyn.
Kate got up from the couch and put her parents picture on the top of the fireplace next to Rosa and Kayla's parents pictures. Kate walked out of the living room and walked upstairs to the second floor to walk down the hallway to open up her bedroom door to walk into her bedroom. Evelyn got up from the couch and walked into the kitchen where Ikaika was making some unique dishes. Ikaika turned her head around while she was cooking some hamburgers on the stove top.

"Evelyn, how's Kate doing? I saw she was crying in the kitchen before I went to the kitchen to start making dinner. I'm making some of my favorite local dishes from Hawaii to hope that Kate could cheer her up. I'm planning to take Kate with me when I go back to Hawaii next week to give her a chance to make new friends and I could get back to my family. I want to give Kate a chance to see another part of the world before her sixteenth birthday next year." Ikaika said to Evelyn.
Evelyn thought about finally going back home to her family and she was going to spend more time with her own kids. She walked into the kitchen and started cooking the eggs on the stove top while she looked at her with a joyful smile on her face.

"Kate is doing great after I told her about Alicia to cheer her up for what she needs to know. It would be great for Kate to see your part of the world while making some new friends and taking a break from the safe house. You should know that taking Kate from the safe house would risk her safety as the threat would return once again. Coulson has given us this opportunity to protect and raise the three girls after they become orphans in loss of their parents. We left our families in having our fellow Shield agents who were protecting and helping them. I'm so happy to finally go back to England to my family after leaving my family when my three daughters were three years old. I don't really know if my three daughters remembered me or not after so many years of being so far away from them here in Northern Arizona. I do know that my beloved husband kept our three daughters to remember me from the letters I have been getting from him ever since Kayla was brought here by her parents." Evelyn said to Ikaika. Ikaika was so happy that Evelyn was going to get back to her family after not being able to see them since they were assigned to the safe house. Ikaika put the finished cooked hamburgers on the plate from the frying pan and she started making the gravy in the cookware pot. Ikaika looked at Evelyn while she was cooking the gray in the cookware pot.

"Evelyn, I'm so excited and happy for you to return to England to get back to your family after Director Fury assigned us to this safe house here in Northern Arizona. I'm so excited to see my family again next week when I bring Kate to Hawaii to give her a chance to make new friends with my cousins and my kids. She could start finding who she could be in her future before her sixteenth birthday next year. I haven't seen three daughters and two sons when they were four, six, eight, and ten years old. I do know that my aunts and uncles have been taking great care of my kids when I'm here in Northern Arizona. I last heard from them about my kids being very helpful in my family's small neighborhood. My family has lived in Pahoa for generations since the reign of King Kamehameha I. There have been rumors of my ancestry having Royal Hawaiian bloodline from one of my ancestors. None of my family members don't really know if the rumors are true or not after the end of the era of the Royal Family of Hawaii. The only family member who might know was my great, great grandmother who remembers the time when the Royal Family of Hawaii was ruling over the islands of Hawaii. I met my great, great grandmother when I was five years old and she told me what my future was going to be after she fell deeply ill. I kept that treasured memory in my mind for the rest of my life to keep me moving forward to my future." Ikaika said to Evelyn.
Evelyn was happy to know more about her friend who had connections with her ancestry. She only knows some about her ancestry in being both Britain and Irish on both sides of her parents' families. Evelyn was putting the cooked eggs on the plate after cooking the eggs right. They enjoyed finishing up putting their dinner into the three bowls and Kate walked down the stairs from having alone time in her bedroom. Kate, Evelyn, and Ikaika enjoyed a fun dinner while Kate enjoyed hearing her two Shield agents telling stories about her parents. Evelyn and Ikaika were happy to see Kate being able to find happiness in her life after Kayla left the safe house to go to the Shield Academy. They even saw their friend, Alicia in Kate, know they have to keep a deep secret to hope that their friend was alive somewhere.
