Our story starts in Byblellium- a small peaceful town but things here weren't as peaceful long long ago.

It was late afternoon and school was finishing, Evelyn was setting off unaware that destiny would dig up something that will change EVERYTHING...

Evelyn was fifteen. She had cherry coloured lips, blue-ish grey eyes and blondy golden hair that looked as if it was a well cared for wheat field. However, Evelyn was not popular and had only one friend. His name was Alfie and he was the only one who liked her. Even the TEACHERS didn't like her.

Alfie loved it when Evelyn mucked about at play time. He loved everything about her. Her jokes; her creativity; her work; her smile; her dream to become an archaeologist... the list has no end.

Evelyn loved to hang out after school in the big, dry field where no grass grew. She was there now gazing out into nothing. But something managed to make her come out her daydream. It was a group of archaeologists with their equipment, digging.

"What are you doing?" She questioned in amazement. "We are digging to find some remains from the Battle of Mithryan," one of the workers replied. "Can I help? I've always dreamed of be if an archaeologist!" Evelyn asked desperately. "Be my guest," said the worker handing her a shovel with glee.

For months, Evelyn helped the archaeologists with no luck apart from some old sword hilts.  One day, Evelyn's shovel hit something hard. Scared of what it was going to be, she shifted her fingers in the dirt, pulled it out and gasped at the sparkling gem.

At once, the worker came over and let her keep it as she had earned it. Evelyn rapidly ran home not knowing that she was carrying the very same Mithryan.

Evelyn spent the rest of the day locked in her room trying to discover what type of gem it was. It looked like no other gems Evelyn knew. It had loads of different colour fragments that looked splendid.

That was how Mithryan was discovered by an unpopular girl.
