Welcome to the Taehyung Showdown! This is an awards book for Taehyung fanfic only. Please read the rules, story rules, and requirements before submitting. You will not be accepted unless you follow all the rules and requirements.

Blacklisting:

If you break any rules or requirements, you will be posted on a public blacklist in all of my awards books, my message board, and in the pms of other awards hosts so they know not to accept you if you apply to them.

Failure to follow the requirements, or blatantly disrespecting them (most notably: unfollowing me at any point, even 2 years from now) will result in you getting called out publicly.

Don't try to pull a fast one, my guys. I'll find out. I have in the past, and I will now.

I'm partnered with half of the BTS awards community, and the half I'm partnered with is partnered with the other half of the BTS awards community. Everyone will know not to accept you.

I'm sorry if this sounds rude, but I have very few requirements that are easy to follow. I will give you genuine reads and a detailed review of your story. If you cannot show respect for me and the few requirements I have, then I will not show respect for you.

To put it simply: I have three requirements. Don't submit if you're not going to follow them.

Story Rules:

- You can submit up to three different books to three different categories. So do not submit the same book twice, or submit twice to the same category. For example, you have story A which you put in category A. You cannot put story A in any other category, and you cannot submit to category A again. You can submit once per category and three times overall, but all with different books.

- It must be your story. It cannot be a story you're an editor for or a story you like that's written by someone who isn't you. If you want an author to submit, tag them and ask them to submit. Otherwise, do not submit a work unless it is yours.

- Minimum chapter length is 1 full chapter. By that I mean, it can't be any a/ns, intros, prologues, etc. It has to be a core story chapter or a oneshot.

- No minimum read count, but the maximum is 50k (it's okay if it goes over 50k by the time I start judging in a few weeks)

- Mature stories are fine, I am 20+. Smut is fine. However, no books that are purely smut. I can read smut, but excess amounts of smut make me uncomfortable. So if your story has smut every chap or every other chap, don't submit it. Let me break it down like this: if your story is 75% smut or more, don't submit it.

- Books where Taehyung is the antagonist are accepted. Shipping books, love triangles, etc. are fine as long as Taehyung is one of the main characters.

- Stories inspired by things (other books, movies, TV shows, comics, etc.) are allowed.

- Any genre is allowed, just check categories so you see where you fit best.

Rules and Info:

- If you won first, second, or third place in the Taehyung category of the Eclipse Awards, you cannot apply the same book you won with to this contest. You can submit other books, but not your winning book. AKA: Winners can submit, but they cannot submit the same book they won with. Honorable mentions can resubmit the same story.

After the last two awards, I'm a bit fed up with how people have treated me, so I apologize if these rules sound rude, I'm just tired of how people have treated me in the past.

- No disrespect toward me or other participants. That will result in blacklisting. If you have a problem with a participant, please message me about it and we will solve it privately.

- Don't treat me like a baby. I've lost count of how many people have lectured me about how Wattpad works or how to run awards/stories. I am a professional writer and I have been writing online for over a decade, with over two and a half years of which being on Wattpad. I have been hosting awards for almost 4 years across multiple platforms. I know what I'm doing, stop treating me like I'm 12 when I'm 20+ and a trained professional in my field. I'm so tired of being talked down to.

- After results are announced, please message me if you would like to see your scores and my thoughts on the story.

- I have an author's interview book and a review book. My prizes for this book include reviews and interviews. During the time this contest is active, you cannot request an interview or review from me.

Requirements:

- Permanent follow. You can follow from a backup, but please mention it here. Do not mention it in your form, I will almost certainly forget and forget to check. Unfollowing at any time will result in a blacklisting.

- If you vote on the chaps in this story, I'll give you a freshly baked Subway choccy chip cookie (it's not required to vote, but please do)

- Post this story on your message board and announce it to followers

- Add this story to your public or private reading list. I don't care which. It's not about promoting this book, it's for you so you know when I update this story. You don't want to miss out on winners and announcements. I know people use reading lists to organize their stories, so it's okay if you put this in a private list.

Categories:

1) Oneshots and Short Stories

- 10 slots

- 1 chapter minimum

- 15 chapter maximum

- Ongoing stories are allowed as long as they are planned to be in the 15 chap range

2) Completed Stories

- 10 slots

- Any length/genre, but must be completed

3) Dark Stories

- 10 slots

- Any length/genre, can be ongoing

- Only mature stories are allowed; these stories must cover darker topics such as PTSD, ab3se, mental health conditions like depression, intense violence, etc.

4) Ongoing Stories

- 10 slots

- Any length, must be ongoing

- It must be ongoing while I am judging; I will judge this category ASAP to ensure fairness to you. It takes me about a week to judge 15 stories.

5) Plot/Concept

- 10 slots

- Any length, ongoing and completed are both accepted

- For stories that feel they have the best plot/concept

- Any genre is allowed

6) Character

- 10 slots

- Meant for stories that have a strong Taehyung character

- Taehyung can be the protagonist, antagonist, side character, etc.

- Any story is allowed (genre, length, maturity, etc.)

7) The Taehyung Showdown

- 20 Slots

- Any story is allowed (genre, length, maturity, etc.)

Mini Categories (Honorable Mentions)

You will be automatically entered into these mini categories. Each main category will have honorable mentions. Honorable mentions will be anywhere from 1-4 depending on the category. Categories with 10 slots will have 1 honorable mention, categories with 15 will have 2-4, and the Showdown will have 3-4.
