Title: 10/10

"The Clearing" is something very unique to my ears. I don't know exactly how and why. But whenever I hear "Clearing", the first things come in my mind are the words mysterious and wonder. It definitely relates to the theme of your book.

Cover: 10/10

Okay. This is something I'd laugh about. I was staring at the cover for a good minute and thinking that If I see this kind of cover while in a bookstore, I'll definitely grab it at first sight. The colors, the shadow figure of a boy, and the background trees were all perfectly done. It is giving me the urge that I should read it or else I'd waste something important.

Sensory Details: 10/10

The sensory details were well executed! I could really relate to the feelings of the characters. I love your writing style of making your readers feel they are really relevant in your story. I almost had tears when Mr. Grand died. I laughed every time the Dueling Duo started to throw punchlines. I'm so thankful for taking me to Victor's world.

Blurb: 10/10

After reading the blurb, I'd say you're really good of making people curious. Sometimes it makes me feel awkward when reading book with long blurbs. In this case, it isn't short or long. It is good as it needs to be. And it perfectly serves its own purpose.

Character Development: 10/10

Among others, the character of Lovedae is the most interesting. I love how you create such personality that is too realistic. I don't know much about Victor. He's too mysterious! I'm still in the part where he was starting to get sense of the true nature of his own powers. I'd love to share his journey and learn more about him. He's definitely the most sweetest fictional charter I ever encountered.

Setting: 10/10

Your ample world-building is very palpable with every chapter I read.The places described are too vivid. I knew from the very first paragraph of the chapter one, it would be a good read. But by reading the next chapters, it already exceeds my expectation. Like dude, how do you write so perfectly?

Plot: 15/15

The flow of your story is so smooth. The foreshadowing is really great. I really love stories about magic, and the combination of mystery and fantasy written so perfectly is enough to make me turn pages at 2 am.

Grammar and Spelling: 10/10

Did I notice any flaws? None that I could remember. I was too busy enjoying the book to care about how much misspelled words and grammar defects I could write down.

Overall Impression: 12/15

Note that I'm only taking away three points because I'M NOT DONE WITH THIS BOOK YET! I don't want to give perfect points without reading the whole thing. It was just unfortunate of me that I could only reach the first seven chapters because I was struggling with my schedules for the few past weeks. Overall, this is a fanciful story with a strong world-building. It'd be a complete crime not to read it. Highly recommendable! Not a second of your lifetime would be wasted if you tried.
