This was a tough story to write, both on account of the looming deadlines and the restriction in the word count. There were days when I struggled to even get a single word down, despite the story being clear in my head. When I finally finished, I was relieved and exhausted, yet exhilarated that I had indeed managed to tell what I wanted, within the time line and the word limit.

I am a fantasy fan, as mentioned in the preface, and yet am aware of how difficult it is to write in this genre. The fact that everything is imagined, that the world is limited only by one's imagination is, at times, the biggest hurdle to writing fantasy. However, having said that, it was a fun challenge to writing it out.

I am aware that there are a lot of 'open' threads in this story and I will not be rewriting it to expand it into a full length novel. Someday, when I am feeling adventurous and brave enough, I shall write out a sequel or a continuation novel, so that this would serve as a prequel. However, I hope that in spite of 'open' ending, you have enjoyed reading this little foray of mine into the world of fantasy.
