The weeks wore on and next thing I knew it was the last day of school before winter break. To say I was happy about would be the understatement of the century. This past week and a half of school was beyond hectic. I pulled all nighters nearly all week studying for all the finals we had. So it's safe to say that I was way past being cranky. I was in need of some much needed sleep. By the end of the day I was sure I'd be dead on my feet.

"So, what are the plan's for winter break?" Elena asked as we walked through the halls after the final bell

"Sweetheart's mom probably planned some fab getaway to god knows where." Corrie said

"I actually have no clue and it doesn't matter to me." I sighed rubbing my hands over my face. "As long as it doesn't include him, than it's fine by me."

"Trouble in paradise already?" Elena joked "You two aren't even married yet."

I laughed humorlessly "That's real funny!"

"You know..." Corrie said slowly

"Whatever it is you are going to say, don't!" I stated pointing a finger at her.

"How do you know it's something bad?" she questioned

"Because, all week everything you've had to say is about him and me. I don't want to hear any more."

"Fine, fine no more talking about the two of you." she said raising her hands.

"Thank you!"

"Can I just say one thing though?" she asked

"I swear Cor, please nothing about him." I begged

"Okay, but, he's right behind you." she said pointing over my shoulder

Closing my eyes I turned around not wanting to believe her. Why the heck would he be here any way? Peeking through one eye I saw him standing in the parking lot. He was leaning against my car with his arms crossed over his chest; looking like he owned the freaking world. I dropped my head back and groaned. This is not happening! He is not really here! The universe does not hate me this much!

"Well, um, we'll see you later." Elena said as she backed away pulling Corrie with her. "Call us when you find out what you're doing or where you'll be for the next two weeks. Love you!"

"Traitors!" I hissed

"Sorry, but we are so not getting into the middle of what I am sure is about to go down." she said "Like I said, Love you!"

"The Sweetheart and The Billionaire Heart Breaker; has a nice ring to it, don't you think?" Corrie just had to throw out there.

The scuttled off to the other side of the lot leaving me to deal with this all by myself. What kind of friends do I have? I stalked over to my car with a scowl on my face. Everyone who was still lingering around was staring. Not at me; at him! Apparently everyone knew who he was judging by all the whispering going around right now. Am I really that clueless? Guess that's what I get for paying more attention to books instead of magazines and tabloids.

"What are you doing here and what do you want?" I asked as I came to a stop in front of him. "And, get off my car!"

"Touchy, touchy!" he smirked pushing away from my car.

"Well, are you going to answer my question?"

"I am here to pick you up." he replied

"In case you haven't noticed," I said pointing behind him "I have my own car, I don't need a ride from you." I pushed past him to get to my car.

"Are you always this cold to people?" he questioned

"Are you always an arrogant jerk?" I fired back "I can answer that one; yes, yes you are! As for your question; no! I'm only like this with you." I climbed into my car and sped off

That man seriously brings out the worst in me. I can honestly say, I am never like that with anyone. Since I didn't feel like going home just yet I made a detour to the one place I call my own little happy place--Sister Agatha's Home For Children. I guess you could call it an orphanage, which I suppose it is. I had found this place a few years ago and kept coming back ever since. I hadn't been here in a while though these last couple weeks with finals going on. Usually I'd stop by a few time a week.

"Oh, hello Sweetheart!" Sister Agatha cooed as I walked in. See what I mean, even she call's me Sweetheart!

"Hi Aggie!" I smiled returning the embrace she pulled me into "Sorry, I haven't come by in a while."

"Don't be sorry, dear, school come's first." she said

"Yes, well school is now over and I cannot be more happy about that." I grinned; Gosh it feels like I haven't smiled a real smile in a long time. "How are the children?"

"They've all missed you!" she answered

"As I've missed them, I'm going to head to the mall tomorrow to pick up some gifts for them seeing as Christmas is right around the corner."

"Oh no dear, you do too much for us already." she refused

"Aggie, I have more money than I could ever need. I'd rather use it to help out with what I can instead of it just sitting around." I said

"As you wish." she said

"I do. Now let's go see the kids." I said pulling her along with me.

There were roughly around twenty kids here. Ranging from the age's of newborns to about 13. Most of them were sent here because they had no parents to take care of them as well as no family that could be located; those were the older kids though. The newborns and children up to about 5 were the ones who were given up. I would never understand why anyone would want to give up a child. They are the most precious things you could ever be blessed with.

As we rounded the corner into one of the rec rooms squeals were all I heard before I was bombarded by kids. They had almost knocked me to the ground just like every other time I came here. It put a smile on my face and mad everything that was now going on in my life seem like nothing at all. A bell signaling that someone had walked in through the main door had Aggie rushing off to tend to whoever it was.

I sat in the middle of the room surrounded by about half of the children here listening to all their stories of what had happened while I was away. I didn't take notice of Aggie walk back into the room with who ever had come. My focus was solely on the kids around me.

"These are some of the kids, sir." Aggie said

"How many live here?" he asked

I whipped my head up so fast at the sound of his voice that I almost crinkled my neck. I sat there with my mouth hanging open at the sight. Xavier Chase was standing there taking in all the children in the room.

"Twenty, sir." Aggie replied "The older ones are up stairs doing their homework at the moment. Would you like me to call them down?"

"No, that wont be necessary." he replied "I just came to find Mallory."

"Excuse me kids, I'll be right back." I said walking over to where he and Aggie were standing. "Why did you follow me here?"

"I was actually heading to your house, but, you turned around so I followed to find out where you were going." he replied

"Why?" I asked

"Curiosity." he shrugged

"I understand that we're getting married in less than two months, but, that doesn't mean you get to follow me around and know every little thing that I'm doing." I hissed

Aggie gasped "You two are getting married?"

"It's an arranged marriage, Aggie." I sighed

"Oh, dear!" she said eyes wide and mouth open

"What are you doing here?" he asked

"That's none of your business." I said "I'll see you later Aggie." I gave her a hug "Bye, kids see you soon."

"Bye!" they all exclaimed running to give me a hug.

I walked out with Xavier hot on my heels. I didn't bother to look at him. If looks could kill he probably be dead I faced him right now. This was my happy place. My place! He had no right to be here, ugh! Neither one of us wanted to be married to the other so why couldn't he just leave me alone? We'd have to deal with each other after the wedding, so why couldn't we just stay stranger's till than?

I reached home in no time and Xavier was right behind me. I didn't even acknowledge his presence, just walked straight into the house, closing the door behind me. He muttered something under his breath, not sure what it was though.

"Oh, good you're both here." my mother said as she walked out to meet us in the foyer.

"Good afternoon Mrs. Blake." Xavier said sweetly; kiss ass!

"Good afternoon, dear." she smiled "Mallory, sweetheart, you should head up to your room and begin packing."

"Packing? What for?" I asked

"We're flying out to Bora Bora for the week." she answered

"And I am only hearing about this now?"

"It was just finalized, now go pack." she said waving me away with her hand; insufferable bitch!

With a roll of my eye I headed for my room. I sent a text to both Elena and Corrie to let them know I'd be gone for the week and I would see them when I got back. I guess this was a good thing, at least I wouldn't have to deal with Xavier for the whole week and hopefully the week after. I packed up a weeks worth of things and then some into my Loius Vuitton luggage that my mother had conveniently placed in my room. I would've been content with just regular luggage from Walmart or even a duffel bag. But, my materialistic mother would have a fit if I had done that, hence the luggage she had supplied for me.

I had every thing packed and ready in under an hour. Our butler--Connor--helped carry my things down. After my many many attempts of offering to help and him declining I at the edge of my quietly. I hated that we had all theses people working for us. We weren't hopeless, we could do things on out own--I could anyway.

I had always gotten into trouble over the years when I tried to do something for myself like my own laundry, cleaning my room or the simple task of washing the dishes I had used. It was of course my mother who had scolded me about it saying we had servants to do that. After a while I had stopped trying to do anything.

Now though, any chance I could I'd do something on my own. If my room needed cleaning, I'd do it before on of our staff members did it. If my clothes needed washing I'd sneak it into my car and do it at the laundry mat after school. I didn't want people waiting on me, I wanted to be independent. A lot of people didn't have the luxuries that I did and I preferred to be like them.

I had always looked forward to turning 18, I would move out when that happened and gotten my own apartment or maybe even a little two bedroom house. I would get a job and work to pay my own bills. Now, that was just a dream that would never come true. At 18 I'd be getting married and no doubt have to move with Xavier who was probably just like my family. Always having someone there to do everything for you. I was sick of this life, sick of all the luxuries that came with it.

I looked around my room and sighed. I had done this so many time that i lost count. Everything in this room cost more than most peoples homes. Every thing from the bed to the light fixture were all custom made. My sheets were made of the finest silk my carpets made from the best quality material that money could buy. Your toes literally sink into the freaking thing! For as long as I could remember I wished I had someone else life. I would trade mine for theirs in a heart beat.

"Miss Blake?" Conner called from my door way; I looked up at him. "The car is here you to take you to the air strip."

"Thank you, Conner." I smiled a small smile.

"Do you have anything else that needs to be taken down?" he asked

"Just my purse, but I've got. Thank you." I said as I stood and smoothed out the wrinkles in my knee length, form fitting sleeveless black dress--I had changed after I finished packing.

I shouldered my bag and pulled my hair over my left shoulder before I left my room. It seemed like my parents had already left with my sister when I walked down the stairs; figures! My mother was never a patient person. I left my house and got into the waiting limo. The ride to the air strip was completely boring. I was so tempted to have the driver turn the car around and take me to either Elena's or Corrie's house. I didn't want to be stuck with my parents for a whole week. Well, I didn't want to be stuck with my mother.

I sighed when the car came to a stop ten minutes later. The driver opened the door and I got out. He carried all of my things to out private jet as I boarded. My parents were seated together, talking amongst themselves while Maria was Seated in the back coloring. I pitied what her life would be like as she got older. From my experiance it was utterly dreadful! Yes, I received anything and everything I wanted, but, growing up with virtually nonexsitant parents was horrible. They were hardly ever around while I was a child and still to this day were never around much. I was pretty much raised by nannies which wasn't that bad. But, as a little girl all you want is your parents.

"May I color with you?" I asked as I slid into the seat next to her.

"Sure." she said smiling up at me.

She passed me one of her princess coloring books and a placed her crayon box between us. I began on my picture, every few seconds I would glance over at Maria and just watch her. A few minutes later we still hadn't taken off yet and I wondered why until more people steppen onto the jet. My heart dropped to my stomach when I took notice of who boarded. The Chase's were joining us. Xavier stepped in after his parents and locked eyes with me. His trademark smirk graced his lips. I scowled at him, this was not a vacation I was going to enjoy. This demanded a mass text.

Unbelievable! The Chase's are convieniently joining us on this vacay! I sent

Oh boy! lol - Elena

Ooh, a week in bora bora with that hottie! lucky girl! - Corrie

I cannot deal with him for a whole week! - me

Well, you're just going to have to deal with it. - Elena

Can't do anything about now. - Corrie

I am so setting up a flight for you guys. So pack your bags cause you're coming to Bora Bora! -Me

WHAT?! - Elena

YES!!!! - Corrie

I sent out one last text to Elena saying that it was too bad cause I wasn't about to do this alone. She agreed like I knew she would. I went on line and charted a jet to bring them down asap. When the was finished I sat back in my seat. This is going to be one helluva week. I would have my friends there regaurdless of what my mother thought. If she could invite the Chase's along with out me knowing than I sure could invite my friends. She was going to go ballistic when they showed up. I laughed softly at that. Maira gave me a questioning look, I just shook my head at her.

Yes, this was definitely going to be one helluva week.
