TS&TBHB 24

Our week in the Bahamas was. . .too good for words. Xavier and I spent our days going on different tours, sampling all the fine restaurants, lounging on the beach. You would think that by the time the sum set we would be exhausted but, that wasn't the case at all. No, our nights were filled with passionate love making.

When the honeymoon was over I didn't want to leave. We were have such an amazing time, it was sad to see it come to an end. Xavier promised that we would come back again and maybe bring our friends along. It was would nice to have a vacay with them. For most of the flight back home I was curled up against Xavier. The week had truly worn me out, so had Xavier.

Xavier drove us straight over to my dads place once we touched back down in California. Even though I was dead tired, I wouldn't pass up a chance to go and sed my family. Plus, I had promised Maria that she would be my first stop once I got back. There were a few other car in my fathers driveway when we pulled up but, there were only two that I actually recognized but, there were only two that I actually recognized. My fathers and Xavier's parents.

"I wonder who's here," I commented as he helped me out of the car.

"Let's go in and find out." He chuckled leading me toward the front door.

"No," I gasped "Really?"

"Sarcasm is not appreciated," he grumbled playfully, knocking on the door.

"I know but, you love me anyway" I smiled wrapping my arms around his neck. Pressing my lips against his, loving the softness of them.

Xavier's arms encircled my waist, pullingy body flush against his. My body molded against him, a perfect fit. The kiss deepened and neither one of us noticed the front door opening.

"Ahem," someone cleared their throat. I reluctently pulled alway and peered over Xavier's shoulder. Corrie was standing there a smug smile. "I so won,"

"Nice to see you too," I laughed "And what exactly have you won?"

"Nothing, nothing," she said with a wave of her hand. "So you guys gonna stand on the front porch all night making out or you gonna come in?"

"We're coming in," Xavier chuckled

Taking my hand in his, Xavier led me into the house. As we walked toward the,den I couldn't help but wonder where what Corrie was doing at my dads house. My answer was given as soon as we rounded the corner. There, sitting in the den was Elena, Cole and Liam.

"Pass it up people, you all owe me twenty bucks each." said Corrie as she walked around Xavier and I.

"What?!" The trio shouted, all of them look at me and Xavier.

"How do you even know you won?" Liam asked

"Yeah, you could just be lying," said Cole.

"What are you all talking about?" I asked looking at them each in turn. I was so confused.

"Doesn't matter," they all answered.

"Yes, it does," I stated placing my hands on my hips. Just what were they all hiding from me.

Looking over at my dad and Xavier's parents I had a feeling that they knew. I narrowed my eyes at them. My dad squirmed in his seat, not making eye contact with me. He only ever did that when he knew I was on to him or what ever we were talking about was a subject that made him uncomfortable. My eyes widened and my mouth opened in shock. They didn’t on what I think that did, did they?

“Oh my god!” I cried looking back at Corrie “Please tell me that you did not bet on whether or not Xavier and I were gonna . . .you know?”

“Okay, I wont,” she grinned looking back at the rest of them. “Couch it up!”

“I ain’t handing over any money till I know for a fact that they had sex,” Liam stated crossing his arms over his chest before looking directly at me.

“Any time now,” Cole teased

“We are so not having this conversation right now,” I hissed loud enough for only them to hear. “We’ll talk about. . .”

“Ree!” a little voice shouted, cutting me off. Put a smile on my face I turned to face Maria who was running toward me.

“Oh, Maria” I grinned scooping her into my arms. “I misses you,”

“I missed you too,” she said squeezing her arms around neck. “Next time, I’m going to.”

“Of course,” I nodded and kissed her cheek.

“As um. . .entertaining as this conversation is,” my father said looking pointedly at Liam, Cole, Corrie and Elena all in turn. “I think it’s about time for dinner.”

“I love Jean’s cooking,” Corrie sighed wistfully.

“Jean made your favorite dessert,” Maria whispered into my ear as we all headed toward the dinning room.

“That was supposed to be a surprise,” my dad scowled playfully, wrapping his arms around Maria and I. “Welcome back,” he whispered kissing my temple.

Everyone was already seated when we made it into the room. I took a seat next to Xavier and placed Maria in the free seat to my right. There was an abundance of food spread out on the table and I just couldn’t wait to dig in. It had been far too long since I had ate anything made by Jean. Okay, maybe not that long but, after being able to eat her meals on a daily bases a week seems like forever. My father let everyone know that it was time to eat and to enjoy. I didn’t need to be told twice, I was piling food on to my plate before he even finished speaking.

A chuckle to my left had me pausing in my plate filling. Xavier was looking over at me with amusement shining in his eyes. I pursed my lips, then stuck out my tongue at him.

“So how was the honeymoon?” Sharon asked

“Bet it was interesting,” Corrie commented, wiggling her eyebrows at me.

“It was great,” I smiled at Sharon. “I loved it,”

“Aw, that’s great,” Sharon smiled

“Yeah, great,” Corrie giggled

“Stop it,” I hissed. Corrie raised her brow at me and gave me her you’re-gonna-spill-later look.

The rest of dinner went on with out anymore comments from Corrie, thank goodness. I knew that I would be getting an ear full from all of them once dinner was over and we all left. Knowing those four they would follow Xavier and I home just so they couldn’t get the scoops. I still couldn’t believe that they had made a bet on if Xavier and I would do the deed during our honeymoon. It was a given that most couples would do it during that time but, those were usually the ones who already have been. Eh, whatever, at least I can say that I waited till I was married to do the deed. Not very many people can say that now days. Freaking nympho’s.

With our goodbyes made Xavier and I just about sprinted out of the house. Maybe we could get to our house with enough time to lock all the doors. We made home in no time and just as we got out of the car Liam, Cole, Corrie and Elena pulled up. Looks like my plan has failed EPICALLY!

“Did you really think that you’d be able to get off without telling us what happened?” Corrie asked, sauntering up to me.

“I was kind of hoping so,” I huffed “And I am not tell any of you anything!”

“Shit, she definitely won.” Liam grumbled pulling out his wallet. Cole and Elena followed suit.

“I cannot believe that you all made a bet on us,” I said watching as they all handed over twenty bucks each to Corrie.

“Easiest bet ever,” she grinned pocketing the money.

“Okay, now that, that is over, go home.” I grumbled walking to the front door. Of course they didn’t listen to me and let themselves in. “Seriously guys,” I groaned “I wanna go to bed.”

“Damn, did you guys do it so much that you didn’t get any sleep?” Cole asked with wide eyes. “Good going Xavier,” he said slapping his shoulder.

“Oh god, I’m going to bed,” I sighed “You can deal with them,” I said to Xavier.

I kissed his cheek and wandered off to my room to change. Xavier was in for a surprise once he finished off with all the crazy people in our living room. I was going to sleep in his bed, after sleeping in the same bed over the last week I wanted to continue do so. Since I had taken a shower on the jet all I had to do was change. I changed into a pair of pajama short shorts and a tank top. As I made my way to Xavier’s room I threw my hair into a pony tail. I could hear everyone talking in the living room so I closed the door and slipped into Xavier’s bed.

Snuggling into the pillow, I inhaled Xavier’s scent on them. I was surrounded in his smell and smiled to myself, closing my eyes. Faintly I heard the front door close and Xavier walking through the hall. His room door opened but, he didn’t bother turning on the light. I could hear his footsteps as he walked into room, opened a drawer, shuffled around and walked out. I couldn’t hold off the exhaustion that was coming over me and just as I was about to slip under, the bed dipped. Xavier let out a shocked gasp before pulling my body against his, curling himself around me.

***************

Weeks passed and next this I knew I was getting ready for graduation. As I stood in the room that was once mine I stared into the mirror. I couldn’t believe that so much time had passed already. Xavier and I had been married for exactly five months this very day. The girls were required to wear a dress under our gowns. Since I hadn’t gotten around to buying anything new I stood in front of the bed staring down at most of the dresses I owned.

“I told you to buy a dress for today,” said Xavier. I looked over to see him leaning against the door frame.

“I don’t need anymore clothes,” I sighed “If anything I need to get rid of some clothes.”

“But, it’s your graduation” he said walking into the room. “You only graduate from High School once and you should always buy a new outfit for those kinds of things.”

“Is this your way of tell me to get me butt to the mall and buy a new dress?” I asked raising an eyebrow.

“Nope, this is my way of tell you that I’ve already got one for you.” he grinned “Follow me,”

I followed him back to his – well our – room. There on the bed was a black garment bag. Xavier picked it up and held it out to me.

“Would you like to do the honors or shall I?” he asked

“You didn’t have to do that,” I sighed unzipping the bag.

Inside was sky blue strapless dress. It was beautiful but by the looks of it, it wasn’t very long.

“Did you leave the rest of the material at the store?” I asked with a raised brow.

“It isn’t that short,” Xavier chuckled and pulled the dress from the bag. “Personally I think it’ll look stunning on you.”

“Uh-huh, I bet,” I snorted taking the dress from him. “You need to get ready or you’re going to make me late.”

He scoffed “You aren’t even ready yet,”

“All I have to do it change and do my makeup.” I said walking out of the room.

Once I was back in my old room I slipped out of my robe and put on the dress that Xavier had gotten for me. He was right, the dress wasn’t as short as it had looked. It stopped just below mid-thigh. I ran my hand down the skirt of the dress, the fabric felt wonderful. The dress was made from satin and I was kind of worried about that. Everyone knows that satin and silk both wrinkle easily. Hopeful it would hold up throughout the ceremony, wouldn’t want to be showing up to dinner in a wrinkled dress.

Xavier whistled from the door way. “I did good,” he commented, his eyes making a path up and down my body.

“Yes, you did, thank you.” I smiled walking over and kissing his cheek. His arms wrapped around my waist, pulling my body tightly against his. “We do not have time for that,” I said pulling his arms away.

“We have a little time,” he groaned dropping his head onto my bare shoulder. “Do you have no sympathy for your husband?”

“Not at the moment, no” I chuckled. He groaned and wrapped his arms around my waist again. “I’m sure you can reign in your hormones until after dinner,”

“That is not going to be an east feat with you wearing this dress,” he mumbled. One of his hands trailing down to my thing and back up under the hem of the dress.

“You need to get out and get ready,” I laughed pulling away from him and pushing him out the door.

“Have you ever heard of the term blue balls?” he asked as he stood in the hall with his arms crossed over his chest.

“Yes and it’s something I know for a fact you do not have, now shoo,” I replied closing and locking the room door.

“You are so gonna get it when we get back home,” he warned

“Can’t wait,” I mumbled

The ceremony was boring. Like really boring, the girls and I sat in our seats playing temple run the whole time. We weren’t supposed to have phone’s on us during the ceremony but, girls have their ways. It looked like some of the guys also got their phones somehow as well. It was a pretty entertaining sight to see half our graduating class doing something on their cell phones while speeches were going on.

As soon as it was time to receive out diplomas all phones were hastily put away. It made me laugh at how quickly everyone tucked away their phones. One by one my classmates went up and received their diplomas. Soon it was my turn, I took a deep breath before walking up onto the stage. A chorus of loud hollars were hears. I looked out into the crowd and saw Liam, Cole and Xavier standing and shouting. In Xavier’s arms was Maria yelling her little heart out. A wide smile made it’s way to my face, holding up my diploma for them to see I waved. The same thing happened when Corrie and Elena went up, though I think Elena was much more embarrassed by what Liam was shouting out to her. Yeah, they’d definitely be together by the time college started.

“Congratulations, sweetheart” my father said pulling me into a hug once the ceremony was over.

“Haven’t heard that one in a while,” I smiled returning my fathers hug.

He chuckled “I am so proud of you.”

“Thank you, daddy,”

During the time between my honey and now my father had finalized the divorce with my mother. He had also finalized the merger with his company and Xavier’s fathers. All was well and everyone was happy.

“Sweetheart!” Corrie shouted pushing her way through the crowd with Elena in tow.

“We did it!” we all shouted going in for a group hug.

“Ah,” Corrie sighed “Our high school days have finally come to an end.”

“I know, can you believe it?” asked Elena “It feels like only yesterday we first walked into these halls.”

“I’m glad it’s finally over,” I chuckled “No more fan girl classmate coming up to me and asking about Xavier.”

“Well, the man himself is waiting patiently for his turn, with a not so patient little girl in his arms.” Corrie grinned nodding over my shoulder.

Spinning around I saw Xavier and Maria standing with his parents. I skipped over to them and kissed Maria on the cheek.

“Congrats, baby” Xavier smiled and kissed my temple.

“Thank you,” I said

“Congratulations,” Xavier’s parents smiled

“Thanks and thank you for coming.” I smiled

“We wouldn’t miss our daughter-in-laws graduation for the world.” Sharon said

“Let’s get to the restaurant,” said Xavier

Corrie, Elena and their families would be meeting us at the restaurant. I said my goodbyes to the rest of my graduating class and let Xavier lead me out to the car. There was a graduation party going on later and I knew that Corrie and Elena would try to talk me into going. I was thinking about going but wasn’t a hundred percent sure yet. I’d have my decision before the end of dinner. Xavier and I led the way to the restaurant. I didn’t know which that was since I wasn’t part of the dinner planning.

“So, where are we going for dinner?” I asked

“You’ll see, we’re almost there” he replied vaguely

Rolling my eyes I decided to drop it. The rest of the drive took a little of ten minutes, the car stopped and I looked up. We were at Ruth’s Chris Steak House. I stepped out of the car and waited for Xavier to hand over the keys to the valet. I smiled as Xavier walked over and wrapped his arm around my waist. Since we were the first to arrive we headed in and checked in for our reservation. The hostess showed to our table and we sat.

“So who’s idea was it to come here?” I asked looking over the menu.

“Liam and Cole,” he replied “There were a few other suggestions but, we didn’t want this dinner to fancy of an affair. Everyone know’s how much you dislike those.”

“Only in moderation,” I nodded “I’m surprised that we haven’t gone to any fancy parties since we’ve been married.”

“There will be a lot of those in a few weeks being summer and all.” he said

“That is definitely something I am not looking forward to,” I grumbled pursing my lips.

“I agree with you on that,” he smiled, leaning over and pecking my lips.

In no time the rest of our dinner party showed up and joined us at the table. Well it was more like a bunch of table pushed together to accommodate our large group of fourteen people. We all talked and laughed throughout dinner just enjoying each others company. We talked about college and where Elena, Corrie and I would all be going. To my surprise they both decided to stay in California not wanting to be too far from home. An even bigger surprise was the fact that the three of us would all being going to school together. That had to be the high light of my night, I wouldn’t have to worry about only being able to see my two best friends during school breaks. I would still be able to see them whenever I wanted to.

Xavier and I got into the conversation about where we were going for Summer vacation since it was my turn to pick a destination. It didn’t take me long to decide, I had made my decision not long after Xavier had told me I could pick a place. I let him know that I wanted to go to Hawaii. Xavier rather liked the idea of vacationing in paradise. Maria of course had to zero in on the conversation at that point and practically begged to go as well. In the end we decided to make it a family affair though we would only be able to go for a couple of weeks. My father and Xavier couldn’t afford to take the whole summer off from work neither could Liam and Cole.

As I gazed around the table taking in each and every person there I couldn’t help but smile. These were the most important people in my life and I loved every one of them. No matter what happened in the future they would be the people that I would forever be tied to and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

In just seven months my life had changed dramatically. I had gone from your normal high school girl who happened to be rich too, a happily married young woman. So many things had happened over the course of those seven months. Some good and some bad but, they all led me to where I was now.

“Whats going on in that pretty little head of yours?” Xavier whispered into my ear.

“I’m just thinking about how I have all the important people in my life sitting right at this table.” I replied “Thinking about all the things that have happened since we met.”

“Yeah, a lot has happened and not all of it was good.” he said

“True, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.” I smiled

“I love you sweetheart,” he murmured against my lips.

“And I love you my Billionaire Heart Breaker,” I smirked pressing my lips against his.

Life with Xavier Chase was going to be one hell of a ride and I couldn’t wait.
