Sorry!!! I had a long day with shopping, bills & birthday parties yesterda...I would have gotten this out earlier but, I was barely in my house long enough to do anything...So according to all the votes I got on the dress (thank you all for that) Mallory’s dress will be dress 3...I had gotten a comment on how that dress would fit her personality better and that’s right, it does...I had chosen the first cause I thought it was a cool looking dress and the I really liked the second as well, so because I couldn’t decided I left it up to all of you! On to the story!

I stood on the platform with three mirrors around me. As soon as I had seen the dress I knew that it was the dress that I would be getting married in. It was the perfect dress for me. Everyone had rushed me off to go and try it on and it fit me perfectly, no need for alterations. So there I was in a white silk organza sweetheart asymmetric draped exaggerated drop waist gown with embroidered raw edge organza skirt. It definitely was the perfect dress.

“So what’d you think?” Monique asked as she fluffed out the skirt.

“I love it,” I grinned “It’s perfect ”

“You look beautiful,” Sharon comment “That dress was certainly made for you.”

“Sharon is right,” Corrie nodded “There isn’t going to be another dress out there for you.”

“It just screams Mallory Blake especially with the whole sweetheart neck line.” Elena added

“I’ll take it.” I said smiling at my reflection.

“Alright, let’s get you out of this dress and I’ll ring you up.” Monique said leading back to the changing room.

I changed into my regular clothes and walked back to the front of the store with the garment bag in hand. Now all I need is some shoes and I as pretty sure I had the perfect pair at home. Sharon had done right refused to let me pay for the dress no matter how much I told her it was fine. She just kept on insisting the she pay for the dress. She just would not budge and after ten minutes I finally gave in.

After a light lunch I headed back home and hung the dress in my closet. In less than four weeks I would be walking down the aisle in the dress of my dreams. Hopefully the wedding itself would also be the one I had always dreamed about. For the rest of the afternoon and well into the night I sat and stared at the walls of my room. Sleep wouldn’t come and my thoughts were all centered around how much my life had changed and would change even more.

I tried not to think about everything that had happened since Thanksgiving. I didn’t want to remember all the things that had been said and done. How had I gone from the girl who did every thing her parents asked without question to the girl I am now? How could I have changed so drastically in a little over a month? Was that even possible? The only answer I had was for that last question. Yes, it was possible.

Getting back into the mood for school that following Monday wasn’t easy. I had never been an early riser and having two weeks free through off my whole schedule. I trudged on to campus with a messy pony tail, loose tee and jeans. I didn’t bother trying to make myself look presentable, I was too tired for that. I swear I was yawning every ten seconds as I met up with Elena and Corrie. I hadn’t had much sleep at all this weekend and I was paying for that now.

“Well don’t you look like a ray of sunshine!” Corrie chirped with a smile way too big for 7:30 in the morning.

“Oh yeah, I feel like it too.” I said dryly.

“I’m totally loving the sarcasm.” Elena comment sarcastically

“I’m loving yours too,” I said

The whole day I had struggled to stay awake. This was the first time it had ever been this bad for me. Usually a cup or two of coffee and I’d be good to go, not today. I guess having barely 12 hours of sleep in a three day period will do that to you. By the end of the day I knew I need a triple shot of espresso. I made my way slowly out of the building. I almost tripped over my own feet as I jerked back after seeing Xavier leaning against his car.

“What are you doing here?” I asked with a yawn “You do realize if the press gets wind of you coming to my school they’ll descend on the campus like a pack of wild dogs.”

“I don’t care,” he shrugged “Do you?”

“Obviously, I happen to go to school here.” I replied in a ‘duh’ tone

“This is only the second time that I’ve came here,” he shrugged “So, we don’t have to worry about the press any time soon.”

“Aren’t you worried that the world will find out that the rumors are true?” I asked

“Depends on which rumor your referring to.” he answered

“The one going around about you getting married.”

“I did worry about it before but, now...not so much.” he said

“Why is that?” I questioned

“I just don’t care any more, why worry about something that’s going to get out eventually anyway.” he replied

“Uh-huh,” I said

“Well,” he began “It looks like you are beyond tired so, why don’t I drive you home.”

“Let’s say I take you up on that offer, what about my car?” I asked

“I’ll have Liam and Cole come and pick it up.” he replied

“Fine,” I agreed

I got into Xavier’s car and we drove off campus. I leaned my head against the seat and got comfortable. Before I could get a grasp on what was happening my eyes began to get heavy, then darkness. I felt as the car stopped and my body was picked up out of my seat. I was too far gone to open my eyes and in all honestly I really didn’t want to. The arms that surrounded me was far to comfortable to protest against. The bed I was laid in was in ever more comfortable. I snuggled deeper into it’s softness letting the darkness claim me once more.

A soft melody woke me from my dreams. I stretched out on the bed with my eyes still closed. With a yawn I opened my eyes to unfamiliar room. My eyebrows furrowed as I took in my surroundings, this was definitely not my room or any room in my house for that matter. The music that had woken me was floating through the slight open door. With another yawn I wandered out of the room.

I followed the music, humming along softly to a tune that I had never heard before. It was come kind of classical music that I wouldn’t normally listen to but, beautiful none the less. As I walked through the hallway I noticed things that told me who’s house I was in, Xavier’s house. Hm, I guess I had fallen asleep in his car. But why had he brought me to his place? I’d find out soon enough I guess. As I continued on the music got louder and I realized that it was coming from Xavier’s studio.

I stood in the open doorway and watched Xavier move around the room with ease. I wasn’t really sure what he was doing until he picked out some brushes and placed some paint on the pallet. I stood there in silence, not wanting him to know I was there just yet. He swiped his paint brush across the canvas with ease, an ease I would never be able to master.

“Do you plan on standing in the door way all night?” he asked never once looking at me.

“H-how do you know I was standing here?” I asked taking a step back. The last thing I wanted to do was disturb him.

“I can see you,” he said pointing to a mirror in front of him.

I stumbled back another step as I raised my gaze to meet his. I hadn’t even noticed that there was a mirror in the room.

“I’m sorry I didn’t mean to disturb you.” I said

“You didn’t, I was just getting started.” he said looking back the painting he had started. “Come on in,”

“What are you working on?” I asked walked further into the room.

“I’m not really sure yet,” he replied with a shrug. “My mother told me you all went dress shopping again on Saturday.”

“We did,” I nodded walking around the room.

“Any luck?” he asked

“Um, yeah, I found a dress.” I replied “But, don’t try to get any answers out of me about it. You’ll just have to wait till next month to see it.” I said quickly.

He chuckled “I wasn’t going to ask about it.”

“Have you found your tux?”

“I was just going to go with a simple black Armani tux with a white tie, unless you have the colors scheme picked out.” he answered

“Um, yeah I picked out those colors.” I nodded

“Care to fill me in?” he asked “I don’t really know what’s going on with the whole wedding.”

“My mother had chosen the pink, purple and white with lots of frills and lace, you know all princess style and crap. But, when your mother and I talked it out, I chose burgundy, white and black.”

“I like your choice a whole lot better.” he grinned “I’m not too sure if I’d look good in pink or purple.”

“I’m not sure either.” I laughed

“Well, I guess I’ll wear a burgundy tie.” he said

“What about Liam and Cole, I’m guessing they will party of your wedding party.”

“Yeah, my two best men.” he said “Since I’m going to be in all black with the burgundy tie, I was thinking they could wear a white tux and tie with a black dress shirt and shoes.”

“That sounds great.” I smiled “You should really take a look at the other things we picked out for the wedding.”

“That sounds like a good idea, I’m sure you have a copy of all the things you picked out.” he said

“I have it at home, you’re mom dropped it off with my mom the other day.” I said “Enough about the wedding for one day, why don’t you keep working on whatever it is you’re working on and I’ll sit here and watch.”

I took a seat on an empty stool and watched him work on his painting. It was oddly peaceful to sit there and watch a masterpiece come to life. I had never been around people who were interested in art so I had never seen someone do anything like this. Sure I sat around watched my sister color and draw but, this was in a league of it’s own. Something completely new to me and I could really get used to it. I wouldn’t mind just sitting in this room and watching Xavier do something he loves. I had a feeling that this would be something that I would be doing often after the wedding.
